The Achilles' heel of any religion or philosophy is when it makes affirmative statements which are easily contradicted, will be rejected within a limited time frame, or can be reasonably dismissed. In fact, that is the principal criterion which distinguishes between science and philosophy (or religion): limited frame of reference. People would do well to remember that and not corrupt science.
