Why, the Rush's caller announced that he existed on a higher level of consciousness; and Obama's fans see the same in the man. It's the New Agers' propensity for "the rhetorical rainbows of pastel madness," to use your own expression. But the mundane reality usually scales down these supernatural claims, often (if not usually) in decidedly non-pastel ways -- just give it time.<BR/><BR/>P.S. To think of Rush and Barack as existing next to each other on that high plane of consciousness... They must be practically spiritual brothers, no? Twins perhaps? ;)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
