Get a (very-racial) post-racial black guy, filled with lots of empty rhetoric - and just over three months of experience as a senator - put him in front of a bunch of "seasoned journalists" and - wow! - in unison, they completely forget what they're job is, or the fact that we're all watching them come apart at the seams.
That's got to be the "something different" everyone's talking (in code) about - because it certainly can't be because the candidate's black, right? No one's paying any attention to a superficial thing like that, right?
