It's so weird, like we've never left The Dark Ages:
A man who impersonated his dead mother was sentenced to prison for fraud, but the Mormon "church" is filled with people impersonating "prophets" who do all sorts of bizarre things, and they're respected members of society.
Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?
Aren't the crooks and Oprah doing the same thing, but to different audiences?
Well, aren't they?
Well, aren't they?
It's just so fucking weird,...
I am not sure which is worse: The Utah depicted in the article you posted or the similar enclave of Cambridge, Massachusetts and its cultish new agers.
ReplyDeleteI am calling it a push.
You can substitute Berkeley, Sedona, Marin County, Vermont, or Portland, just to name a few, for Cambridge.
ReplyDeleteInteresting.
ReplyDeleteI am actually surprised Hollywood is willing to take on Scientology (of course it could end up being a love letter to L. Ron Hubbard too). I am surprised Hollywood has not made a film on Joseph Smith yet.
