NewAge Bastard

"The birth certificate of a child who a tabloid newspaper claims is linked to former Sen. John Edwards doesn't identify a father.

The certificate, obtained by The Charlotte Observer today, shows Frances Quinn Hunter was born Feb. 27, more than two months after an Edwards aide claimed to be the father. Andrew Young, a former Edwards campaign finance director, claimed paternity in a statement from his lawyer posted at the political blog mydd.com.

The girl was born at Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, Calif., to Rielle Jaya James Druck, also known as Rielle Hunter. Hunter, 44, was a videographer on Edwards' presidential campaign last year.

Asked Thursday why no father was listed on the birth certificate, Hunter's attorney, Robert Gordon of New York, said, 'A lot of women do that.' Reminded that he and Hunter had publicly revealed the father's identity two months earlier to the National Enquirer, Gordon said, "That's a personal matter between them."

Gordon declined to comment further."

I don't think I have to remind regular readers that mydd.com stands for "My Direct Democracy" and it's run by "noted astrologer Jerome Armstrong" who is down with The Daily Kos, home of the netroots movement that's been attempting - through Barack Obama, who is already backed by the very-NewAge Oprah Winfrey - to push America as far to the Left as possible. Rielle Hunter, of course, is a big NewAger as well.

Ladies and Gentlemen, it looks like the damaging and demoralizing forces of occult NewAge spirituality are, finally, running head-on into the very-real wall of American politics and, if handled correctly, will break wide-open for all to see.

And, if so, there'll be a new, post-racial, black man that everyone's gonna have to start talking to,...but I ain't naming no names.

Kabbalah Teaches A-Rod How To Play The Game

"Yankee slugger Alex Rodriguez is playing hardball against his wife in their divorce case, saying he wants their prenuptial agreement enforced and charges that he cheated on her removed from the record.

In court papers obtained exclusively by the Daily News, A-Rod's side responds point by point to Cynthia's July 7 divorce filing.

The All-Star admits the marriage is 'irretrievably broken,' but says that because Florida is a no-fault divorce state, he doesn't have to say why and he's not going to."

Someone Else, Finally, Says It - NewAgers Are Liars: Adultery Is Bigger Than An Individual

"The ensuing headlines trumpeted Democratic presidential hopeful John Edwards' rendezvous with his mistress. It made news only because he is a well-known public figure, but sadly, infidelity takes a toll in the lives of millions of lesser known couples.

According to polling by the Associated Press, 22 percent of married men and 14 percent of the married women in the America have had "an adulterous affair." Put another way, that is 19 million men and 12 million women who are married and have committed adultery.

Edwards' exposure by journalists doesn't make him a victim as some pundits have argued; the real victims are his wife Elizabeth and their children. Adultery hurts families. They feel betrayed. Trust is destroyed. Family stability and lives are shaken, not to mention the baby conceived as a result of the Edwards affair.

A common belief today is that infidelity is strictly an individual's own business. But in reality, the damage spreads and severely harms the innocent."

Like They Cared About Mrs. Spitzer, And Mrs. Craig, And,...

"Regardless of what one thinks of John Edwards or his politics, the popularity of and public affection for Elizabeth Edwards is undeniably high.* She was an effective campaigner because she was seen as the honest broker her husband, the candidate, couldn't always be.

Elizabeth Edwards is the real reason this story hasn't gained traction until now. I think that out of respect for EE, and a desire not to compound her grim cancer scenario with further emotional pain probably caused editors to hold back reporting the story until something else came along.

And let me say this as a leukemia survivor married to a breast cancer survivor. If I were in John Edwards' position, and I could pull myself away from the nearest mirror (that hair is to die for), I would play the Elizabeth card as aggressively as I could. That's an unpleasant truth, and I wouldn't be proud to do it. Then again, it sounds like John Edwards doesn't have much to be proud of lately."

Ooh, It's Gone Subliminal Now

"In juxtaposing Barack Obama with Britney Spears and Paris Hilton, the McCain campaign is simply trying to plant the old racist seed of black man hitting on young white woman. Not directly, but subliminally and disgracefully."

The Dem Cover-Up: It's Spreading Like Paint

Here's where things get weird: five days later, a right-wing blog called Death By 100 Papercuts received a tip that the house Hunter had moved into was owned by a former NBA player who had contributed money to the Edwards campaign. Doing some digging, Doug Ross reported that the only former NBA player who had donated money to Edwards was Eric Montross, a UNC graduate who was drafted by the Boston Celtics back in 1994 and ended his NBA career in 2003. Montross gave $4,600 to Edwards during the 2008 election cycle; he was described as a "big backer of John Edwards' White House bid" by CNN. (Edwards went to UNC law school.)

Now. An Intelius search reveals that Montross does indeed currently reside in the Governors Club gated community, so that jibes with both the Enquirer's initial reporting as well as the subsequent blog tip. When we speculated yesterday that the house Hunter had been living might have belonged to Montross, a commenter named "RielleHuner" posted the following:

The moneyman was Celtics player Eric Montross who also has been paying $8500 a month to ex-Edwards campaign manager Andrew Young, who coincidentally acknowleged [sic] untested paternity of female baby Frances Quinn Hunter-Edwards on her birth certificate.

The commenter quickly amended his comment to say that Young was being paid $18,500 a month, not $8,500.

No Psychics, No Oprah, No Obama Candidacy

"Nobody has a crystal ball. If we did you just hire the guy with the crystal ball."

-- Barack Obama, saying exactly what I'd expect from anyone with Oprah Winfrey's NewAge backing

"I’m not a big believer in attempting to foretell the future. There is no reliable way for any of us to know, beyond doubt, the precise scope of changes an Obama presidency could produce. Nor is there any way for us to know whether the Islamo-fascist forces will make sufficient progress under a unilaterally disarmed America to bring us to our knees in relatively short order.

This much we do know, however.

The changes that progressives plan to make are huge, and unless Americans choose to mount a violent revolution to overthrow our own government and its court, then we would be stuck with the socialist vision, with no recourse to our legislative and executive branches.

The Islamo-fascists aren’t going anywhere. The money we give them, ostensibly to feed people, will instead be used to make more weapons with which to murder our families. Barack Obama is firmly convinced that his silver tongue can appease them.

As for me and my vote, we will elect to stay the course with America, proudly go with McCain, a known patriot, and be safe rather than sorry."

Yea: You Didn't Think

"The war on fat has just crossed a major red line. The Los Angeles City Council has passed an ordinance prohibiting construction of new fast-food restaurants in a 32-square-mile area inhabited by 500,000 low-income people.

We're not talking anymore about preaching diet and exercise, disclosing calorie counts, or restricting sodas in schools. We're talking about banning the sale of food to adults. Treating French fries like cigarettes or liquor. I didn't think this would happen in the United States anytime soon. I was wrong."

We Can Trash You (And We Will)

An outcry over privacy and security erupted today after council snoopers searched household rubbish bins in streets where residents include Mayor of London Boris Johnson and several High Court judges.

A total of 1,000 households in 53 streets across Islington, North London, had their rubbish inspected.

Following a request under the Freedom of Information Act, a council officer admitted: 'No permission was sought from residents as none is required.'

The exercise was part of an in-depth analysis that the council says helps it improve recycling, the officer said.

What Are NewAgers Running From?

San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom's spiritual healer and "intuitive consultant" Simone, "long ago professionally dispensed with her first name, Carol."

Rielle Hunter, John Edwards's hard-partying NewAge mistress, is really named Lisa Druck.

Radovan Karadzic, in his NewAge guise, assumed the name of a dead man, Dragan David Dabic.

I Told You: Gavin Newsom - NewAge Cultist

Author, spiritual healer and "intuitive consultant" Simone, who presided over the weekend wedding of San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom and actress Jennifer Siebel, is predicting a very bright future for the city's first couple.

Although Simone (who long ago professionally dispensed with her first name, Carol) says her psychic readings days are largely behind her, she has come up with a few predictions:

On Newsom becoming governor: "I get a very positive energy about that. It's clear this is something he would like to do and he has a very strong personality, and I feel he'll get it."

On Newsom and Siebel having kids: "Definitely."

And on the chances of Newsom landing someday on a national ticket?

"It's all up to him. The work he accomplishes within himself will determine how far he goes," Simone said.

The onetime Silicon Valley ad executive, radio host and author of "The Goddess of 5th Avenue" has spent more than two decades exploring the metaphysical.

These days, she's affiliated with the Palo Alto School of Hypnotherapy where, according to her Web bio, she "helps people rekindle their inner light and strengthen the ability to respond creatively to life."

"I used to do (psychic) readings, astrology, numerology and all the metaphysical arts, but now I'm more interested in helping people quiet the mind," she tells us.

Simone says she was introduced to Gavin by Stanlee Gatti, their mutual friend, socialite wedding planner and fellow spiritual devotee.

That led to Simone sitting down with the mayor and his fiancee at Newsom's San Francisco penthouse a couple of months back to "talk about his internal life and where he's at," and to plan the couple's vows.

"Gavin wanted something less traditional and very contemporary," Simone said. The upshot was a ceremony that invoked nature and the Indian tribes that inhabited the Montana region where the couple tied the knot.

"I alluded to them in the ceremony as an eagle and a dove, and how they have to fly high and stay focused on each other because they are traveling all the time ... and being pulled apart by the world," Simone said.

And you thought Nancy Reagan's astrologer had the corner on political metaphysics.
-- Phillip Matier and Andrew Ross, confirming what I've said all along: the San Francisco mayor, Gavin Newsom, is a lying, crazy, asshole NewAger - and "reporters" of today don't practice journalism - though they're on the SFGate.

Once Again: The Proper Term Is "Moved On"

"The Democrats have targeted young people, knowing how easy it is to bring forth whatever is needed to program their minds. I know this process well. I was caught up in the hysteria during the Vietnam era, which was brought about through Marxist propaganda underlying the so-called peace movement. The radicals of that era were successful in giving the communists power to bring forth the killing fields and slaughter 2.5 million people in Cambodia and South Vietnam. Did they stop the war, or did they bring the war to those innocent people? In the end, they turned their backs on all the horror and suffering they helped create and walked away."

A Question Of Character

COURIC: Harry Truman said, "A man not honorable in his marital relations is not usually honorable in any other." Some people don't feel comfortable supporting a candidate who has not remained faithful to his or her spouse. Can you understand their position?

EDWARDS: Of course. I mean, for a lot of Americans-- including the family that I grew up with, I mean, it's-- it's fundamental to-- how you judge people and human character-- whether you keep your word, whether you keep what is your ultimate word, which is that-- you love-- your spouse, and you'll stay with them.

COURIC: Do you think-- what-- what about people who use that as a way to evaluate a candidate? In other words, there have been a number of fine presidents according to some analysts...who have certainly not been sort of exhibited the greatest moral character when it comes to infidelity...I guess is what I'm getting at.

EDWARDS: Yes.

COURIC: So how important do you think it is in the grand scheme of things?

EDWARDS: I think the most important qualities in a president in today's world are trustworthiness-- sincerity, honesty, strength of leadership. And-- and certainly that goes to a part of that. It's not the whole thing. But it goes to a part of it.

COURIC: So you think it's-- an appropriate way to judge a candidate?

EDWARDS: Yeah. But I don't think it's controlling. I mean, I think that, as you point out, there have been American presidents that at least according to the-- to the stories we've all heard-- that were not faithful, that were in fact good presidents. So I don't think it controls the issue. But I think it's certain-- something reasonable for people to consider.
