Old News (Today's Question Was "Why Does Anybody Still Believe Them?")
Why yes, two days ago, I DID do
a post on the stupidity of news reporters
.
So, I'm a *little* shocked - today -

asked "
How dumb are reporters?

Scott Walker's Biggest Defenders Don't See Who He Is
ANN ALTHOUSE
:
"I live in Wisconsin, and I've been following Scott Walker since the 2010 election here, and I have no idea what the "toxic strain of racial politics" refers to."
Here's what it refers to:
"Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker Once Said David Duke Raised 'Legitimate Issues'"
THE AMERICAN THINKER
:
"The fact is, there is nothing at all -- zero, zilch, nada, nullity – in Scott Walker’s record that is racist in the least."
Here's the least:
"TED NUGENT: I'm contacted all the time, I work close with Ted Cruz who is a great patriot, a great statesman. I worked close with Scott Walker's team in Wisconsin when he took it away from the hippies and got rid of the [unintelligible] and got some freedom back in Wisconsin."
POWERLINE
:
"This is completely insane. I have followed Walker’s career for a long time, and there is nothing in his record that can plausibly be given a racial tinge."
But if you're not a follower, it adds up to something:
"Back when [Scott] Walker was Milwaukee county executive, and Rindfleisch was a top aide, he managed the county’s welfare programs so abysmally that after lawsuits by local clients, the state was forced to take them over. “They didn’t just call people dogs, they treated them like dogs,” one Milwaukee elected official recalled angrily.
“Milwaukee County has demonstrated a sustained inability to successfully provide services to its (poor) customers,” state health services director Karen Timberlake wrote in a February 2009 letter to Walker announcing the state takeover. Milwaukee became only one of 72 Wisconsin counties to wind up with its programs for poor people under state control.
It’s a chapter in Walker’s career that shows why, to many in Milwaukee, his staff’s racist jokes aren’t funny."
Hit the tip jar when you're ready to admit what's there:
