NewAgers Used To Ask "What Are You Afraid Of?" (Nobody Asks That Any More)

Though the Washington Post discovered guns are not the leading cause of death for American children (as TMR has told you a million times), we do exist in a world of killers. Annnd, if you don't know how the world "works" after learning Saudi Arabia chopped-up a journalist, Zionists are (plausibly) carrying out a genocide on the Palestinians, the United States talked Ukraine into a suicidal war with Russia, and (instead of being on the side of good) funds it all on a credit card in the American people's name - as almost everyone else is, literally, standing around and doing nothing - if all of that does not ring a bell. then, you're just too naïve for words.
And that's why I don't post that often. I mean, what's the point? This is the long-promised NewAge. I think the current state of things would teach anyone that the written word isn't worth very much anymore. The Macho Response? Come on. Lately, the closest thing society's had to a "Woodward and Bernstein moment" was when the Wall Street Journal's John Carreyrou busted Elizabeth Holmes over Theranos, and whoopie! for that.

But, seriously, how she's unacceptable, as this ethical environment sours, has become a mystery.
Hobbes said life used to be “nasty, brutish, and short,” but, thanks to Science, we Americans have stretched the run-time out considerably. We're now told the Top of the Heap is a life like Truman Capote's with his Swans. But very few would really want to trade places with them. Babe Paley was supposedly their best, and she was not only being cheated on, as she was also carrying on a messy affair that had her bleeding all over another woman's bed. But then it was publicized. AND all of that came after she was already missing all of her front teeth. Again: whoopie!

We've been over this: Hillary Clinton slammed Tucker Carlson as "a useful idiot" ahead of his Putin interview. But, after RussiaGate, are we supposed to believe anything Hillary Clinton, or anyone like her, says? Does anyone think we forgot she's untrustworthy? Has the world already forgotten?

Too Many Of The Rich Think "Everything Happens For A Reason" (When It Don't)

He was a southern Italian, so they called him Dixie, and Teddie Whitestone got knocked up by him—Bill Whitestone aborted her himself under the impression it was his doing. And perhaps it was—in quite another context—but still I think it rather dowdy, unnatural, if you will, a doctor aborting his own wife. Teddie Whitestone wasn’t alone; there was a queue of gals greasing Dixie’s palm with billets-doux. Cole’s approach was creative: he invited Dixie to his apartment under the pretext of getting advice on the laying in of a new wine cellar—Cole! who knew more about wine than that dago ever dreamed. So they were sitting there on the couch—the lovely suede one Billy Baldwin made for Cole—all very informal, and Cole kisses this fellow on the cheek, and Dixie grins and says: ‘That will cost you five hundred dollars, Mr. Porter.’ Cole just laughs and squeezes Dixie’s leg: ‘Now that will cost you a thousand dollars, Mr. Porter.’ Then Cole realized this piece of pizza was serious; and so he unzippered him, hauled it out, shook it and said: ‘What will be the full price on the use of that?’ Dixie told him two thousand dollars. Cole went straight to his desk, wrote a check and handed it to him. And he said: ‘Miss Otis regrets she’s unable to lunch today. Now get out.’”

 A few things to ponder.

"What are your plans going forward?" "I'll probably catch U2 at the Sphere." "Is U2 Satanic?" "No, they're just awful."

[After all the hype about U2 at the Sphere, TMR finds it remarkable, if not incredible, that no one's mentioned this fact before this skit.]

This song is better than gay sex, Middle East peace, and U2's entire discography. Deal with it.
