Another Self-Proclaimed Messiah is GUILTY (And Another Prisoner Gets Hold Of A "Virgin" Too!!!)

"Jurors on Monday convicted the leader of an apocalyptic northeastern New Mexico sect of one count of criminal sexual contact of a minor and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Wayne Bent, the self-described Messiah and leader of The Lord Our Righteousness Church, faced two counts each of criminal sexual contact of a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor in allegations involving 14- and 16-year old sisters in July and August 2006.

Bent, 67, testified last week he placed his hand on the sternums, but not the breasts, of the teenagers as they lay naked with him in separate incidents. He said he was careful that the spiritual healing exercises with the sisters not take a sexual turn.

An ex-member of the church said in May that Bent 'said God told him that he was supposed to sleep with seven virgins.'

Here's some testimony from the Wayne Bent trial in New Mexico - the NewAge "power spot" where cultism flourishes, and followers can get so "bent" a weak-willed father can know a cult leader betrayed him by sleeping with his daughters but he will still say he considers the pedophile a friend. Wild.

It does TMR good to hear the word "cult" finally said out in the open like this, because so many choose to deny there is such a thing - or the possibility they have anything to do with one - when it's all everyone else can talk about. I ask you: if a father can't even recognize the danger a cult leader poses - while (as we can see in this clip) his wife and other members of the cult can - how sure are any of you, who are advocating for NewAge beliefs (like not passing judgement) that you're not involved in one, too?

Belief: Where The Possiblities Are Endless

For 16 years, he followed a man who calls himself Michael, finally settling along with other families on a former ranch in a remote corner of New Mexico.

There were red flags along the way, but John Sayer didn't break away from the apocalyptic church until late 2005.

Michael "said God told him that he was supposed to sleep with seven virgins," recalled Sayer, 36. Two were to be Sayer's daughters, then 14 and 15.

"I just told him no. ... I'm not in agreement. I don't see it's right," Sayer said.

Sayer, his wife and daughters left the compound, although his daughters returned. His youngest was still living there when she was removed by the state Children, Youth and Families Department last week, Sayer said.

Sayer said Michael Travesser — whose real name is Wayne Bent — did sleep with seven virgins, but all were over 18 and did not include his daughters.

However, Sayer said his daughters "lay naked" with Michael, although they said no sex was involved. He said he doubts his daughters were molested, but "anything's possible."
