Though it doesn't look it (to the guilty) shifting to black and white hasn't changed TMR - somebody's "in" and somebody's "out" unless they join in certain beliefs - that's a cult:
I've been saying the same thing for years:
Cults, and those into cultish behavior, come in all shapes and sizes.
Cults, and those into cultish behavior, come in all shapes and sizes.
And it's a wide-open target in our NewAge East-worshipping West:
Like shooting fish in a barrel,...
Well, of course, I find that this "root bloodstock" nonsense seems to crop up a lot in most cult based systems -- probably because it caters to some contrived mystical, pre-science/industrial age notion of "in the blood". Maybe because it simply is bad thinking (which cults seem to thrive off of).
ReplyDeleteMost of all, America should cast it aside -- it does not suit us at all (isn't attractive on anyone, but a country of the New World should definitely be beyond such things). We face more danger from this than older places if you think about it -- we really can't indulge in such things; it will destroy us.
No matter, it's unscientific; it's even anti-common sense or rational philosophy for that matter -- and is perhaps even anti-historical truth as well (in some ways it appears as though many of our less enlightened and sophisticated ancestors were not as foolish about this as we seem to be).
In short, it's patently ridiculous and incredibly short sighted and dangerous.
It's in the same league as some of the garbage that poses as "gender studies" and "class studies" -- and unfortunately the horseshit has the upper hand (and I have next to no idea how to effectively put an end to that, which is...discouraging as well as frustrating).
