White Culture: Why Black People Have Always Suffered

Thomas Jefferson drafted the Declaration of Independence and called slavery an “abominable crime,” yet he was a lifelong slaveholder,...28% of the American population was enslaved in 1790,...the paradox of slavery in Jefferson’s world is relevant for generations beyond Jefferson’s lifetime.

Like generations of black Americans growing to hate whites?

American whites did something, extremely bad, for a long, long time.

The depravity of gangsta culture? I know where that come from.

It was white America's lack of regard for human life - or, as one Althouse commenter recently stated, an "indifference" to it - that attitude is confirmed as a 400-year old historical fact.

Could hundreds of years, working for nothing under a mind-blowing level of white violence, have made black America poor today, too?

And isn't white America responsible for settling the debt?

Do whites ever consider, after the Civil War (which whites today are happy to talk about) the country reneged on every political agreement it made with blacks, and then laid on 100 years of new Jim Crow restrictions - which whites aren't too keen to talk about now - when judging how some blacks feel about whites, and the country?

Do they consider white culture invented covering black men in honey before making them sit on anthills? White culture filled our mouths with feces? White culture raped and whipped and castrated and chopped limbs - and what they didn't do, they made blacks do to each other?

Skinning black people to make furniture, public lynchings with children, picnic baskets, and religion, in tow - what does that do to a people - and what does it say about the white culture of our captors?

Honestly - would you be "happy" to live with the people who did all this to your family for hundreds of years?

Whites also like to pretend this legacy is "ancient history", but it was going on long after I was born, and of age to know about it.

I knew when Malcolm X was murdered, and watched MLK's funeral with my own eyes - am I supposed to forget why whites killed them?

Am I supposed to deny every single thing my family said happened to them, by the hands of whites, just to survive with them now?

Whites today say the problem is black culture, but that's simply a dodge for the sins of white culture before, and since, because whites still insist on it.

Generally, American whites always insist on getting their way - and they fetishize sex and money above all else - maintaining their status quo through brutal violence.
