You know, for a guy who's always lecturing people on the dangers of alcoholism and drug addiction, few people behave more like it doesn't make a difference if you're drunk or high, than Donald Trump. He's completely sober, and yet, he's the "anti-war" president bombing Yemen, president of a cease-fire that he let zionists turn into ethnic cleansing, and the president of tariffs that only last until somebody calls to kiss his ass. Acting like this, he might as well be doing 8-Balls.

The Rape Of The Nun Must've Been Especially Delicious

Look at how far these fellow "spiritual" cult assholes will let someone claiming to be NewAge go:

A French sect leader and ‘tantric sex guru’ is set to appear in court in Nantes on Monday, accused of raping a 14-year-old girl and a second woman. Gabriel Loison ran ‘new age’ courses in group sex for years until his arrest in 2011.  

...Julie Baschet, 39, Loison’s partner, is also due to appear in court on Monday. She is charged with being an accomplice to the rape of the teen, as well as joining Loison in raping and sexually assaulting the older victim, and an aggravated charge of taking advantage of the weakness of both victims.  

Since founding his ‘University’ in 1996, Loison charged as many as 200 followers up to €14,000 for courses in tantric and group sex on three to ten-week retreats to western France, Spain, Morocco and Costa Rica, according to BFMTV.  

Among his devotees were the parents of a 14-year-old girl, now aged 17, who is alleged to have been raped by him.  

Loison’s previous group ‘Jardins de la Vie’ was outlawed in 1995 after a parliamentary investigation into religious sects and cults in France.  

The so-called guru is also facing rape charges from three separate accusers, in an unrelated proceeding. In the mid-1980s a French nun made repeated claims that Loison had raped her, though the charges against him were later dropped.  

And in 1989, Loison was suspected of involvement in the deaths of two ‘trainees’ who disappeared while walking in the mountains in the southern French department of Hérault, though no charges were ever brought against him.

Why anybody's pretending to do so, now, is a mystery,...

 

A Priest: Bill Maher Talked To "Stupid People"

I've heard this argument before, that if Bill Maher had talked to "serious scholars" of the bible for his movie "Religulous" he'd have gotten intelligent answers. But here I am, investigating this very claim, listening to this serious scholar and child of God and he calls the average believers profiled in the movie "stupid". Very Christ-like, that one. He actually claims there may be only one intelligent person in the movie - and that's a scientist.

Not a word about who left the believers stupid (presumably their spiritual leaders) after a lifetime of belief and/or bible study. But what can we expect from a guy who, in the end, makes no sense as he goes on trying to explain how the bible can be true - "in a theological sense" - in our present age of scientific knowledge.

I haven't seen "Religulous" yet, for what I think is the same reason many people who have seen it seem turned off by it: it features Bill Maher. He's a cynical, and only intermittently funny, person; who I've heard, unapologetically, defending quackery (and his politics are just weird) so who is he to be leading the fight for intelligence or what should be considered reasonable thought?

Hell, in many cases, Bill Maher makes about as much sense as this guy. Which ain't much.

Benedict was making his first visit as pontiff to the French capital, renowned for its luxury goods, fashion sense and cultural riches.

"Has not our modern world created its own idols?" Benedict said in his homily, and wondered aloud whether people have "imitated, perhaps inadvertently, the pagans of antiquity?"

"This is a question that all people, if they are honest with themselves, cannot help but ask," the pontiff said. "

These are photos of actual crucifixions that took place in the Philipines on "Good Friday". The copy said, "thousands watched the spectacle,...for hours before the,...lines of men, hooded and half naked, flayed their backs with bamboo whips and paddles tipped with broken glass. Blood splattered over the road. The atmosphere was festive, with hawkers selling beer, ice-cream and souvenir whips. VIPs watched from a specially elevated 'viewing platform'".

And I have absolutely nothing further to add.
