Libs: We Understand Them (They Don't Have A Clue,...)

I can only imagine Dr. Howard Dean got his medical license by putting his fingers in his ears and singing, "La-la-la-la-la!" for eight years, because - after a lifetime as an American - he certainly doesn't seem very good at paying attention:

"I don’t know what the Republicans want, but let them go someplace else and stop doing it to us, ’cause our country’s a great country.”

Yep - and that's why you're losing in "our" country, you dumbshit,...

One More Time (For Old Times Sake)

Ahh yes, former Democratic National Committee chairman Howard Dean, proven (once again) he's a jackass and a liar - the very qualities that made him a *perfect* leader of the Left during the Bush years - willing to spread any falsehood that leaps into that totally delusional ever-burning yee-haw brain of his, and all because his super-gullible pea-brained "progressive" supporters will believe anything he says - anything! - as long as it starts with the words FOX News.

Tell me, people: how would the Bush years have gone if the "progressives" had known (or cared) about the truth? Would we have heard, repeatedly, that it was Dick Cheney and/or Scooter Libby (either one would do for this particular lie) that leaked Valerie Plames' name to the press - when it was really a Democrat?

Oh, never mind. They're too stupid to care. Integrity means nothing to them. And I've been down this road too many times before.

They've got their black version of Bozo in office, and we're all suffering now, and really - really - isn't that all that matters?

Now That's Smart - Damn Smart!

"WASHINGTON (AP) - Democratic officials say Barack Obama's fellow Chicagoan Rahm Emanuel has agreed to be White House chief of staff.

One of Obama's first decisions as president-elect was to ask the Illinois congressman to run his White House staff. Emanuel accepted Thursday after struggling over family and political considerations.

Emanuel serves in the House Democratic leadership and will have to resign his seat and put aside hopes of becoming House speaker.

Emanuel is a fiery Democrat who served as a political and policy aide in the Clinton White House. His selection is a shift in tone for Obama, who chose more low-key leadership for his presidential campaign."

O.K., Obama's made a good move here: on a scale of 1 to 10, politically, Rahm Emanuel is a 10. TMR is very impressed with this choice. It says Obama's not "playing president" anymore. Israel can rest easier and Al Qaeda has to be worried. Emanuel is a tough customer that conservatives should feel better about: he's not an idiot, like Howard Dean, or something.

I feel comfortable that our country is now in capable hands, and could be off to the promised "fresh start" we can be proud of. I can't say enough good things about this:

Democrat or not, Rahm Emanuel embodies The Macho Response.

Yea, I respect him - he's a fighter - but he's also Chicago Democrat, so you need him to be watched by:

2 + 2 = Howard Dean's A Big Fat Zero

"Think of the hundreds of billions of dollars that are being spent in Iraq which we need right here at home right now to preserve American jobs."

-- Howard Dean, DNC Chairman, in Jerome L. Sherman's article on America's current apathy toward the war, in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

1. MYTH: The American people are footing the bill for Iraq’s security and reconstruction while Iraqis sit on large windfall oil profits.

FACT: The Iraqi government is taking over the funding of reconstruction. In 2008, Iraq’s budget for large-scale reconstruction projects exceeds that proposed by the U.S. by more than 10 to 1, and the U.S. military expects that Iraq will soon cover 100 percent of such expenses.

FACT: Iraq's security ministries are now spending more on their security forces than the U.S., and Iraq’s 2008 budget provides for more than 75% of the total annual cost for Iraq’s military and police.

FACT: The government of Iraq has committed to footing approximately half the bill for the “Sons of Iraq” community watch program—which was originally 100% U.S.-funded.

FACT: Iraq’s Ambassador to the U.S., Samir Sumaida'ie, says that Iraq still has to import gasoline, and argues that “some people are going a little bit too far looking at the Iraqi surplus and the gigantic American deficit and putting two and two together … The windfall from the oil will not cover a fraction of what we need to provide clean water, electricity and the most rudimentary services for our people.”

6. MYTH: Current spending on the war is historically unprecedented.

FACT: Today’s U.S. defense budget accounts for just over four percent of the economy, less than the U.S. commitment at any point during the four decades of the Cold War.

FACT: During the Truman and Eisenhower Administrations, the U.S. defense budget rose as high as 13 percent of the total economy.

FACT: Even during the Reagan Administration, when the economy expanded significantly, the defense budget accounted for approximately six percent of GDP.
