About All That Can Be Said

"Well,..."

-- Alan Colmes (above) after asking Stanley Kurtz what Barack Obama and Bill Ayers stories the American people haven't been fully informed about by the media - and being given what amounts to a laundry list in return - on Hannity and Colmes.

As I've been listening to the various discussions of Bill Ayers's appearance on Good Morning America, it's becoming clear the American people have been treated as ruthlessly as I'd expect a bunch of NewAgers to treat them. We all expect politicians to treat each other ruthlessly, but the people whose trust they are asking for? That's new - especially at the level I'm discussing here. I mean, this isn't Kennedy hiding a back problem, or FDR pretending he can walk, but issues of political philosophy and alliances with criminals and terrorists. True - Kennedy had some pretty nasty friends - but this is 2008, when we (supposedly) know better: should "we the people" be allowing these corrupt types to rule now?

The way these low-lifes are coming out of hiding now, after the election is over, is like an after-dinner attack of acid reflux. Now the media that openly-assisted Obama smugly looks at us and says, "Well, the campaign is over", like our minds have been wiped clean, or they're pretending I'm an accomplice in the deception of what's just happened: after repeatedly, and deliberately, lying to us, the most powerful office in the world is being occupied by someone black the American people have absolutely no reason to trust. And that's just the way it is, O.K.? Sure, fine. But let's not pretend we're all Leftists, or he's got a mandate to do anything but fix the economy. And whatever you do, don't blame me if, and when it all goes to shit:

I had nothing to do with it.

Go, Go, Go, Go, GO!!!!: MAKE THE NEWS MEDIA DEMAND BARACK OBAMA GIVES US ANSWERS!!!

[Click to enlarge and read the caption.]

Oh Baby! The amazing Stanley Kurtz (the first man to get a look at the Chicago Annenberg Challenge's files) is still furiously digging - along with an army of bloggers - and he's figuring out the secrets of Barack Obama! For starters, Kurtz found the photo above with Obama and other politicians from the New Party, a far-left, socialist political party with direct ties to ACORN:

"It is more than fair to identify Obama with the hard-left stance of the New Party and its ACORN backers. In her recent study of ACORN and the Gamaliel Foundation, the two groups of community organizers to which Obama was closest, Heidi Swarts describes their core ideology as 'redistributionist.' Joe the Plumber take note. Whether formally socialist or not, Obama ties with ACORN and its New Party political arm show that spreading your wealth around has long been his ultimate goal."

So how wide-spread is this army of bloggers? Well, the photo was taken from the conservative American Powerline blog, which got it from a blog called New Zeal from - wait for it: New Zealand! (Is this shit brilliant or what?) Folks, we are cooking with steam.

And it looks like our boy, Barry, is cooked as well. But first the work of Kurtz and Co. has to get out, so here's the link to Stanley Kurtz. Here's the link to Powerline. And here's the link to New Zeal. Now get to work, people:

There's only two weeks left!

The Challenge Of Exposing The Challenge

"The Obama campaign claims that his name was suggested [for the Chicago Annenberg Challenge] by a couple of other foundation presidents who were on a committee there, and that may or not be true. But the truth is that Bill Ayers was the most powerful person on that foundation and he was on that committee that selected the board members. It is extremely unlikely that Obama would have been chosen without Ayers’ say so. And I also published recently an e-mail message I got as part of a Freedom of Information Act request. You can read that message a couple of ways, but I think the most plausible reading is that the fellow who sent it—who used to the executive director of this foundation—was basically admitting to some people that he had been avoiding reporters’ questions about the full story about how Obama got chosen. I wish the press would follow it up, but at least it begins to look as though there might have been a cover up there about Ayers’ rule and choosing Obama in that—to be head of that foundation."

-- Stanley Kurtz, on one of the questions the press won't investigate (during a discussion on how the Obama campaign has used intimidation tactics to try and silence him) on Townhall.com.

"Ayers was the only individual,...with legal authority to select board members. He relied on advice from Leff, Graham and Simmons but only he had the legal authority to approve board members. Thus, legally, Ayers approved the selection of Obama as a result of meeting with him prior to the board meeting (in fact, even if they had not met or first met at the board meeting Ayers’ silence would be deemed approval). Thus, Ayers was “involved” and in fact had to have been given his role as the legal agent of the Collaborative.

If Ayers objected to Obama, Obama could not have become a member of the CAC board because no one else had the legal authority to approve his selection. If Ayers had come out of that lunch with Obama and expressed an objection Leff, Simmons and Graham would have had to go back to the drawing board.

While I have speculated that Ayers and Obama knew each other before the CAC, it is nonetheless clear to me that Ayers appointed Obama to the board and thus helped Obama’s career at a very significant point – just in advance of his first political campaign which as we know was launched at Ayers’ house a few months after these events. That impact stands apart from whether they shared a pre-95 history."

-- Steve Diamond, in an e-mail to the The New York Times "reporter" that interviewed him three times (but without the NYT printing his answers, or documents, revealing the multiple business connections between Obama and Ayers) while the rest of "the press" continues to act like Diamond doesn't exist - with his left-wing blog Global Labor and Politics.

Partners: The Monster And The Man

“Despite having authored two autobiographies, Barack Obama has never written about his most important executive experience. From 1995 to 1999, he led an education foundation called the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC), and remained on the board until 2001. The group poured more than $100 million into the hands of community organizers and radical education activists.

The CAC was the brainchild of Bill Ayers, a founder of the Weather Underground in the 1960s. Among other feats, Mr. Ayers and his cohorts bombed the Pentagon, and he has never expressed regret for his actions. Barack Obama's first run for the Illinois State Senate was launched at a 1995 gathering at Mr. Ayers's home.

The Obama campaign has struggled to downplay that association. Last April, Sen. Obama dismissed Mr. Ayers as just "a guy who lives in my neighborhood," and "not somebody who I exchange ideas with on a regular basis." Yet documents in the CAC archives make clear that Mr. Ayers and Mr. Obama were partners in the CAC.”

-- Stanley Kurtz, digging out the communist mole Barack Obama appears to be, in the Wall Street Journal.

Barack Obama: Got Him Coming And Going

“The Chicago Annenberg Challenge stands as Barack Obama’s most important executive experience to date. By its own account, CAC was a largely a failure. And a series of critical evaluations point to reasons for that failure, including a poor strategy, to which the foundation over-committed in 1995, and over-reliance on community organizers with insufficient education expertise. The failure of CAC thus raises entirely legitimate questions, both about Obama’s competence, his alliances with radical community organizers, and about Ayers’s continuing influence over CAC and its board, headed by Obama. Above all, by continuing to fund Ayers’s personal projects, and those of his political-educational allies, Obama was lending moral and material support to Ayers’s profoundly radical efforts. Ayers’s terrorist history aside, that makes the Ayers-Obama relationship a perfectly legitimate issue in this campaign.”

-- Stanley Kurtz, who the Obama campaign has been trying desperately to silence, showing there's still good journalism in the National Review.
