Cognitive Diss-O-Nance

Before it's fully out, I already need another version of Jonathan Glazer's new production, The Zone of Interest, but retooled by Quentin Tarantino and called Oct 7. In that movie, the Hösses are still living next door to Auschwitz, "reaching their full potential" from the genocide over the wall, but then the Jews break free and kill everybody - men, women, and even the Höss children; soldiers and civilians alike. That leads to a media frenzy where we see and hear the Nazis howl about what "animals" and "savages" the Jews were, to commit such "barbarities" against those upstanding beacons of civilization, who the world should've been grateful to, for making that "hellhole" just a little brighter. Now that I can relate to, and need to see.

The Conversation, Part II

You know when Hell's veil is pulled aside: "These people will eat a scab off a dog's knee."

Dylan Mulvaney wanting to pair-up with Meghan Markle, an idea that's so Hellish, spiritually-speaking, the public should be reminded of the Nazi philosophy of self-promotion: "Find out what people HATE and make them hate it MORE
So, in the late, great Carl Sagan's 1995 book, The Demon-Haunted World, he expressed a specific fear - an atheist's vision of Hades. It was that, in the current day, we'd read a story like "Missouri pastor Rick Morrow resigns from school board after claiming that children with autism are possessed by a 'DEMON'" not long after a major publication was asking for our opinion on the question: "The mayor thinks New York gets ‘special energy’ from crystals. Is he right?"

How, in 1995, did Sagan predict that this would be happening? (Was it that obvious?) And why, in 1995, did Sagan fear these specific things, specifically happening now, in 2023, when everybody knows autism isn't a 'demon' but the MMR vaccine, as Oprah Winfrey, Jenny McCarthy, and Jim Carrey assured us - in their fight against misinformation - all the way back in 2007?

As Sagan explained, collectively, talk of demons and belief in crystals are evidence - that society's already in Hell - or, at the very least, on the edge of a black hole before entering. He said the culture is getting totally stretched-out, as "we slide, almost without noticing, back into superstition and darkness." He totally predicted people, today, trying to fill a bucket full of holes with imaginary water. Literally, coming undone.

And, even worse, we can do nothing to stop it. In Hell, we're too smart for that. For instance, tell people that doing yoga 'for exercise' doesn't change the fact the practice itself is religious, and they don't care. NewAge arrogance, and ambivalence are doing the real stretching - but of society's fabric: They become more fanatical, rigid, and insist on the practice, never noticing the Modi government - that has been promoting yoga worldwide - is also doing the same: by all accounts, becoming more fascist by the day.

America's going through it, but all we talk about is how partisan everybody is now. In Hell. That's our bullshit: focussing almost exclusively on politics, as politicians encourage us to find a religion to guide our lives. No one asks what influence, say, Oprah has had over Obama. Like - except for the fact we're in Hell - how'd she win the 2013 Presidential Medal of Freedom, after promoting The Secret, John of God, and making "America's Doctor" out of a quack named Oz? Aren't those NewAge "achievements" that could only win rewards in Hell, from a (formally-assumed) "Lightbringer"?

The best we can hope for, is that one step-forward, two steps-back, contradictory force of nature called "The Human Condition" to pull us out of all this. Like when Dave Chappelle, and a French Doctor, both notice "a cavity is not a vagina." That's a glitch in the Matrix. And thank goodness for them, because we need all the glitches we can get.

Or else we're about to lose it.

German WWII Nazis And Today's Modern NewAge Nazis (Are Equally Annoying)

There's a memorial to WWII-era Nazis just outside Philadelphia because, in America, that's okay. Some Americans just have a hard time with coming to terms with it, and - even worse - coming to terms with admitting it.
And Dylan Mulvaney was guest of honor at a Kathy Griffin house party, because that's the reaction any country wants to see, after almost everyone rises up as one and demands to be left alone.
Finally, one lucky Bride is Demanding A Refund After Catching Her Wedding Photographer Hooking Up With The Groom. TMR wouldn't be surprised if this, too, also happened at Kathy Griffin's house.
