I Can't See The Future (But The Past Is Pretty Clear,...)

A QUESTION ADDED, RELATED TO MCCAIN'S MOM'S STATEMENT:

If Mormons are so good and "nice," why were there ANY Olympics scandals with Mormons at the center of them (And why were they at the center of ALL OF THEM,...)? Because it's all a lie,...

One thing I find deeply troubling about the way formally-supportive conservatives have turned on me (for taking a should've-been-expected stand against cultism and, thus, against either of the candidates for president) is how little they've considered the road not traveled. I mean, I've heard all the talk about how "McCain would've been worse than Obama," but - along with being wrong because, clearly, 2008 was a choice between an experienced senator and war veteran vs. a nobody with nothing to recommend him - that argument also doesn't fit the (supposedly-principled) Republican-at-all-cost meme they're pushing today, since it was THEY who didn't fully back the non-cult-influenced Republican candidate four years ago. Think about it:

Whether the issue is trying to defeat Obama, the bad economy, our country going socialist, or getting me to vote for the current Republican candidate - who they knew I couldn't because A) he, too, is a cultist, and B) we've been rejecting him for 6 years for being a liar - NONE OF THIS WOULD BE HAPPENING if these losers, who are now demanding MY conformity, had just backed McCain to begin with.

Yet they have the nerve to treat ME like a traitor.

As the old saying goes, "Fuck all y'all"....

  1. Yep, in the same boat; preaching to the choir. I went out of my way to drum up enthusiasm for McCain in '08, because I knew Obama would at the very least be bumbling and at worst a disaster.
My conservative betters would have none of it -- in fact, my being honest with my independent status made me a suspected "moby" out to damage the "true conservative cause".

I just didn't want Obama in the WH.

Now they are falling all over themselves for a guy who is more liberal by record than McCain (oh, forgot, he talks a good game, every other day, when he isn't talking to liberals to get their votes), has less record of public service than McCain (service to benefit your church is not the same thing -- if that's the case "conservatives" then how about a nice, dedicated imam? hey, they support traditional values and their church, no?), and he belongs to a wacky, power hungry "church" with a history of desiring to establish a theocracy in this country.

Republicans? I'm done with them. No real difference between them and Democrats -- they want the same damn things, and they don't give a shit about anything other than getting their way (not truth, not the Constitution, not families, not the troops). It's all a big, damn game of fantasy football for them...swear to God it is...spit.
