White Remorse Over Racism: A Fate Worse Than Death

America's racial oracle, jr565, has put another brilliant suggestion on Althouse - this time, he's answering a suggestion from "Scott" that whites should make a concerted effort at reconciliation:

sorry Scott, but that's awfully presumptuous and self hating of you. Why shouldn't it be that blacks spend time at white churches,....

Yeah, why not blacks make the effort? We've been punishing whites, by being here, for so long. They've done nothing wrong. Can you imagine what an "uplifting experience" walking through a crowd of religious whites could be for blacks?

Why - considering all the white brainpower, sound reasoning skills, historical accuracy, and, of course, their overwhelming sense of  compassion for the delicacy of the situation they created - I don't have a clue why blacks don't act,…
