"Donald Trump may have a kind of fan base or “cult following” like many celebrities, but he does not match the criteria that defines cult leaders who have historically exercised virtually limitless unchecked dictatorial power over their followers. Trump is also not empowered by a deliberate “brainwashing” process deceptively done through a premeditated intentionally planned thought reform program with the goal of “mind control.” It serves no useful purpose to reduce the word “cult” to a “buzz word,” rather than recognize its precise range of meaning and boundaries."
- Rick Ross, the recognized #1 cult expert in the world
"The greatest tragedy of Trump was all the people who surrendered their agency as human beings to Donald Trump. That is the sign that something is very wrong in our society, where huge swaths of people – maybe as many as 1/3 of the people – decided that their lives weren't worthy enough and they would surrender their agency to basically a crook, to a conman. It's basically the same principle that Hitler used to take over and that most dictators use to take over. It's a pathetic construct though, because it means there are an awful lot of Americans who have given up on themselves and we have to figure out how to motivate them not to do that."
- Howard Dean, the former Democrat Presidential candidate - who lost over revealing himself a lunatic - forgetting his "party of Science" has surrendered it's agency to Oprah Winfrey, who few will criticize, despite regularly promoting frauds and con artists by the dozen.
