Which is such a typical story of The NewAge Movement, you'd think a GOOP or NXIVM would never stand a chance of ever getting off the ground. But, instead, they're encouraged - by women - as a rebellious act. Against what, they don't say. It's just blind rebellion. Dressed as a quest for power.
