Children, Blood, And Broken Bones

MATT TAIBBI ON THE SUPER-RICH: "There's this quasi-religious thing that's going on, that I don't fully understand, that I heard reference to a few times. There's a kind of mysticism involved,...I heard some of this shit. They're just weird, y'know?"

This Is NOT America - It's A Crime Scene (Media's Free Ride For The Clintons)

Matt Taibbi and Racket News have reported the origin of Hillary's RussiaGate hoax - surprise: it was Hillary. She is who betrayed the President (by calling him "illegitimate" and a traitor), deceived the nation, confused our allies, and tricked the world - including Russia - causing pure chaos. Because the Press will, apparently, print anything she says.
Of course, that she was behind all this was first reported in 2017, by Jonathan Alter and Amy Parnes, who were actually in the room as the whole thing began:

“Within 24 hours of her concession speech,” the authors report, campaign manager Robby Mook and campaign chair John Podesta “assembled her communications team at the Brooklyn headquarters to engineer the case that the election wasn’t entirely on the up-and-up. For a couple of hours, with Shake Shack containers littering the room, they went over the script they would pitch to the press and the public. Already, Russian hacking was the centerpiece of the argument.”

That most reporters never really acted like it - since 2016 - is a nice reminder of the "eerie" hold on the Press that Christopher Hitchens mentioned to Charlie Rose, all the way back in 1999.
Just like our reporters also, somehow, conveniently "forgot" Bill Clinton is a multiple rapist.

They See It But They Don't See It (And That's A God Damned Shame)

"We’ve lost touch with our real story, which is about us,...castoffs, screwups, and cultists from other countries."

Matt Taibbi's Mind Is Still Not So Open That His Brains Have Fallen Out (Yet)

Matt Taibbi, one of the few real journalists left in America, wants to see a new media company that's less partisan than the rest. If that outlet will (finally) start reporting on The NewAge Movement - the same way they do Christianity, the Catholic church, the Mormon cult, or, at least, Scientologists - then I'm in.

Without that - no matter what the topic is we think we're covering - it's worthless, if really trying to figure out what these NewAge Nazi goofballs are up to.

None Of This Makes Sense (Unless You Understand The NewAge Movement)

Matt Taibbi sees what's happening in American journalism - he left Rolling Stone to find freedom - but, I'm not sure he grasps it, yet. Here's a few snippets from his latest piece (with some appropriate video back-up) so you can, at least, see what he, and I, see, too:

"West Wing was General Hospital for rich white liberals, a seven-season love letter to the enlightened attitudes of the Bobo-in-Paradise demographic. If that’s the self-image of the national press, it’s no wonder they make people want to vomit."

"It’s about being consistent. If you tell us on January 12th that all 50 state capitols are under serious threat — I was genuinely worried — you have to tell us what happens at the end of the story a week later. Was that threat real but deterred? Was it overblown? What happened to all of those warnings?"

"Like the wider Trump-Russia story itself, which magically vanished from coverage before both the 2018 and 2020 election seasons, audiences were asked for a time to care about certain things as if their lives depended on it, then just as quickly asked to forget the issues ever came up. And they wonder why people feel manipulated?"

"The fact that pundits and reporters are leading the charge for an ever-purer monoculture is beyond creepy."
