Parallel Lines
A leader with nasty "associations", swept to power by a bad economy, with fanatical followers and a compliant press. Ring a bell anybody? Anyone at all?
Nah, don't nobody see a motherfucking thing. Nobody sees shit. Nobody except for:
If Obama starts holding American citizens without charges, beating the drums for war against countries that haven't attacked us, authorizing torture, or appointing Justice Dept officials who politicize investigations while warning the public to "watch what they say," then I'll worry.
God, you cultists are so naive - to everything - but especially to how history unfurls:
"At best an Obama presidency would be a return to the Carter years. At worst it would place this country in a condition of peril that we have never experienced in modern times."
Thanks for the Tyrell Jr quote. Like Tyrrell, I also worry that Obama will be weak and ineffective - that's the problem with liberal do-gooders, sometimes they are a bit too pie-in-the sky.
So hey, speaking of liberal do-gooders, are you also planning to supply a quote that supports (rather than undercutting) the implied argument of your actual post, that Obama will instead be a militaristic dictator, like Hitler?
LOL. Funny stuff here, TMR. It actually seems like you can barely finish a thought without blatantly contradicting yourself - do you even read or think about the articles you post and link to here, or do you just skim the headlines?
While I (clearly) understand why you'd think so, the idea that Obama is Hitler isn't the point of my post, or any of my posts for that matter - you (like a lot of people) are being waaay to literal, needing everything spelled out for you.
You say my messages are contradictory, really? Is there anything contradictory about "Danger"? Woos challenge me to be a prophet who can explain what'll happen - in detail - which is silly and immature. No one can do that. But woos take that inability as a sign of weakness, and heckle anyone who can't do it - that's the immaturity part. What would be mature? Not putting us in this position to begin with - which I still think is possible to happen with a McCain win. And Americans aren't generally known for their stupidity.
Since we both know what the Carter scenario entails, let's look at a couple of the Hiltler possibilities:
People are already being attacked (in a multitude of ways) on both sides, but only one candidate - McCain - is speaking up and saying knock it off. But the fanatics (and that's what they are) want the other guy. Who's to say that'll stop in this partisan atmosphere?
If we suffer a major attack, can you say Marshall Law won't be imposed, to stop the people who are saying "I told you so" from going apeshit that we have such a naive idiot in office? No, you can't. And where will that lead us? He's already discussing a civilian force to patrol our streets - who's to say they won't be used to go after (what will be) HIS domestic enemies - ostensibly the patriots? His fanatics will do it, that much is clear.
Neither of those are in the video but they, and many others, are possibilities. Avoidable possibilities. To choose a nobody with nothing to offer but rhetoric is the dumbest thing I've ever seen in all my years of watching politics. Especially when the option of McCain is available. I know this generation, and it's not known for it's fecklessness for nothing. This is the epitome of that, treating our nation's highest office as American Idol. To expect that serious people wouldn't be alarmed by it is not only stupid but cruel. Some of us have spent a lot of time with politics, while many of these "new voters" are just discovering it, and the sense of danger they've added to the process is palatable. To deny the possibilities of what could go wrong, or ignore the media's traitorous complicity in this election, or deny the dangerous ideas Obama has been marinating in, is a blindness that goes waaay beyond foolishness:
It is, to me, nothing less than subversion - and I've heard enough liberals say they want nothing less than whatever they want, or Civil War, to justify saying it.
If we suffer a major attack, can you say Marshall Law won't be imposed, to stop the people who are saying "I told you so" from going apeshit that we have such a naive idiot in office?
It's possible that you actually did mean "Martial Law" (like "Martial Arts," having to do with Mars, the ancient Greek god of war) and not "Marshall Law," which was an Australian Ali McBeal ripoff.
A lot of online "conservatives" tend to make this mistake - maybe they confuse martial law with the Marshall plan. Who knows?
That's what happens when you get all your information from online conspiracy mongers like World Nut Daily instead of taking the time to read actual history books, i guess.
Actually, dumbshit, you'd be surprised at my reading material (a lot of Pulitzers). Sure, I peruse World Net Daily, and a lot of other "conspiracy" type sites, but when you deal with the topics I deal with, it comes with the territory. (I dare you to study NewAge without having to read tons of NewAge "fringe" bullshit, and Christian sites, etc. - but there's also been a lot of scholarship on NewAge, so I get the best of both worlds.) As the old saying goes, even a broke clock is right twice a day and only a fool (that would be you) ignores information simply because of where it comes from. I mean, there is such a thing as cross-referencing with better sources, etc., which is something I don't see a lot of liberals doing enough of.
If I thought the donations would be spent on seeking psychiatric help, I\d almost be willing to contribute. Since it is obvious they would only support your playtime in the Twilight Zone, I think I will donate to Obama instead. Common sense... I know its not a topic you approach, but it beats waking nightmares.
I love/hate how liberals change their arguments when it becomes obvious they're the ones who are kooky:
First, you accuse me of suffering from a psychosis, but it was really you misunderstanding what you're reading. Do you acknowledge that? No. You just keep moving on like we, both, didn't notice you're a moron. But guess what? I did notice it - and your lack of an acknowledgment. Which makes you an even bigger moron.
If Obama starts holding American citizens without charges, beating the drums for war against countries that haven't attacked us, authorizing torture, or appointing Justice Dept officials who politicize investigations while warning the public to "watch what they say," then I'll worry.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the thought, though!
God, you cultists are so naive - to everything - but especially to how history unfurls:
ReplyDelete"At best an Obama presidency would be a return to the Carter years. At worst it would place this country in a condition of peril that we have never experienced in modern times."
-- R. Emmett Tyrrell, Jr., loving every minute of it, in the The American Spectator.

"Nobody sees shit. Nobody except for:"
ReplyDeleteThere is a term for that: psychosis.
That's a plug for donations, you dummy.

ReplyDelete-----------
Suppose Marshall Law is "imposed" - so what?!?!?
How would Marshall Law stop anyone from going "apeshit," or anything else?!??!
Sigh - I swear, you're in a universe all your own...
"so what?!?!?"
ReplyDeleteHilarious - you remind me of the Joy Behar character in the Saturday Night Live skit about The View last night.
Neither of you is a serious thinker in the least.
Neither of you is a serious thinker in the least.

ReplyDeleteIf they did, Obama wouldn't stand a chance.

Now go pay your "messiah" and leave me alone.
