Mormons: It's October - Must Be Time For The Surprise!

Here is an article on these two videos, which ARE real, and what they mean:
Watch with your own eyes the sworn oath, known as the “Law of Consecration,” that US Presidential candidate Mitt Romney has raised his arm to the square and vowed to obey, an oath that requires faithful Mormons to consecrate 100% of their current AND FUTURE time, talents and everything they will ever be blessed with, to the Mormon church and it’s goal to achieve a worldwide theocracy headed by Mormons.
This is without a doubt the number one reason why Mitt Romney shouldn’t be President. It is an oath that all Mormons who go through the temple endowment ceremony are required to take. It’s called the “Law of Consecration.”
Former Mormon Apostle, Bruce R. McConkie, stated that “[t]he law of consecration is that we consecrate our time, our talents, and our money and property to the cause of the Church: such are to be available to the extent they are needed to further the Lord’s interests on earth.”
No sitting President should ever be under such an obligation to ANY organization, religious or otherwise. Mitt Romney has sworn to obey this oath countless times.
Probably well over 100 times.
I warned you, and warned you, and warned you, and now we're here:

 Welcome to The Monkey House,...

  1. That was even less spectacular than what Donald Trump did today.

Most Christian churches have similar statements. I know the establishment of God's Kingdom on Earth and Zion might seem a bit scary, but similar statements are found in most Christian faiths.

I understand you do not trust the LDS Church. I will say I do not trust Mitt Romney. But I mistrust Barack Obama even more. So I am voting for Romney. It is really that simple.

And when Romney wins, if he starts to impose a theocracy, I will be with you to resist that. But I suspect what we really need to watch from Romney is if he strays from conservative principals of limited government.

  2. EBL,

No, what's "scary" is when you KNOW Romney's going for one thing, but you vote exclusively for his claims on economic issues anyway - going along with the slight-of-hand, pretending all will be well afterwards, or you'll be able to deal with the constitutional problem you've created - AFTER you've fucked us by giving them power. (Yeah, Watergate and it's fallout were so easy, right?) You'll be with me THEN? Gee, thanks:

I'll dig out my "I'm With Stupid" t-shirt for whenever you're ready to take a stand,...

  3. So I have to vote no on Romney and ensure we have another four years of Obama and his socialist cronies as they totally fuck this country over? Great choices.

Sorry, I want to see Team Obama go. And I certainly do not KNOW Romney is going for the things you think he is going for.

I doubt Mitt Romney is for imposing a New Zion theocracy. If anything he might get in there and then go all New RINO on us. I will resist either, but expect the probabilities favor the later.

  4. Once you set a thing in motion it's really hard to stop it.
If you have doubts, better to not have a hand in setting it in motion at all.

And I know of no Christian church that makes its members swear an oath of this kind. The only religion that comes close to this is Islam...that I know of at least.

My main concern is what Congress will do if Romney gets in -- either way, I see the right taking the blame for all bad things...and Romney will likely throw them under the bus and triangulate. He has shown a propensity for such things in the past, and he will want to be re-elected in '16 if at all possible...when was the last time an incumbent was primaried?

  5. EBL,

Now I feel stupid, thinking, "I've got to explain this to the cow? But it's a smart fucking cow. Why do I have to explain it to the cow?"

First, I'm not voting because the choises suck.

Second, for - what? - the kentinllionth time, you can vote for Romney (you're welcome) but you MUST stop with this bullshit routine about not knowing what he's up to:

Mitt Romney is a Mormon bishop from an old and powerful Mormon family. If he's not for imposing a New Zion theocracy, then nobody is.

Even if it's not possible, his assent to the presidency is seen by he and the "church" that way, and the reality will further feed the delusion - just as it's feeding your denial.

While I've been saying it's our job to put them on notice. You've been saying, "Notice what?"

It's like you WANT to give away the farm,...

  6. Ugh, EBL -- just because the Democrats have cults doesn't excuse the Republicans for having their own pet cultists.

Have you taken a gander at how many Mormons Mitt has on his team? His daddy did the same thing when he was at HUD...and when he left, a lot of them stayed on (and of course made sure more Mormons got in).
They have a track record of doing that in every agency they get into, or corporation (how many worked at Bain? somebody should have asked him that rather than about those women) -- so it's a valid thing to bring up.
Now, imagine what happens when a true blue one (which Mitt is) gets into the Oval Office...it's a valid thing to wonder about (if anything because if a Catholic or Muslim or anyone else did this or even hinted at it, a lot of people would be screaming).

Remember back in '08 when the Democrats were so nutty over Bush that they let Obama win their primary (under dodgy circumstances too -- hell, back then I thought there was no way anyone would be dumb enough to elect him, being from IL and all I knew his track record; boy, that was proven wrong!).
Well, lay that election year upside this one...except switch the parties...do you see any similarities? And if there are, is it a healthy way to be thinking/acting?

I know that's the thing that's got me spooked the most.
