Imagine you're black (if you ain't) and going France, trying to escape hypocrisies, embedded in American racism - only to discover France is currently blaming American blacks for their racial problems - with the approval of the conservative American whites you're running from, who normally otherwise hate the French, because (they know and usually preach how) the French get everything wrong.
Would your outlook on international racism be reversed - or reinforced?
