THE Breaking Story Of The NewAge: News Reporting Has Sucked For Decades

After we can now see it's taken over 5 years for "Washington insiders" like Joe Scarborough and Jake Tapper to recognize Joe Biden was out of his mind,

and it's been since October 7, 2023 that Piers Morgan has failed to recognize what most the of the world has seen all along in Gaza,

AND after thousands of reporters walked through the offices of Theranos but - still - couldn't see anything wrong without the aid of a whistleblower,

It's safe to say Obama giving Oprah America's highest civilian honor for her influence on journalism and culture - after she peddled quacks and con artists, anti-vaccine tropes and "The Secret" - just keeps making sense.

As has the silence from journalists.

 

NewAgers Used To Ask "What Are You Afraid Of?" (Nobody Asks That Any More)

 

 Though the Washington Post discovered guns are not the leading cause of death for American children (as TMR has told you a million times), we do exist in a world of killers. Annnd, if you don't know how the world "works" after learning Saudi Arabia chopped-up a journalist, Zionists are (plausibly) carrying out a genocide on the Palestinians, the United States talked Ukraine into a suicidal war with Russia, and (instead of being on the side of good) funds it all on a credit card in the American people's name - as almost everyone else is, literally, standing around and doing nothing - if all of that does not ring a bell. then, you're just too naïve for words.

And that's why I don't post that often. I mean, what's the point? This is the long-promised NewAge. I think the current state of things would teach anyone that the written word isn't worth very much anymore. The Macho Response? Come on. Lately, the closest thing society's had to a "Woodward and Bernstein moment" was when the Wall Street Journal's John Carreyrou busted Elizabeth Holmes over Theranos, and whoopie! for that. 

 But, seriously, how she's unacceptable, as this ethical environment sours, has become a mystery.

Hobbes said life used to be “nasty, brutish, and short,” but, thanks to Science, we Americans have stretched the run-time out considerably. We're now told the Top of the Heap is a life like Truman Capote's with his Swans. But very few would really want to trade places with them. Babe Paley was supposedly their best, and she was not only being cheated on, as she was also carrying on a messy affair that had her bleeding all over another woman's bed. But then it was publicized. AND all of that came after she was already missing all of her front teeth. Again: whoopie! 

   

We've been over this: Hillary Clinton slammed Tucker Carlson as "a useful idiot" ahead of his Putin interview. But, after RussiaGate, are we supposed to believe anything Hillary Clinton, or anyone like her, says? Does anyone think we forgot she's untrustworthy? Has the world already forgotten? 

The NewAge is a fucking mess.

This world famous woman passionately believes in nonsense, and it's reported as a mere curiosity, nothing more. Aaron Rodgers believes in nonsense and he catches Hell - because he's a man. But Jennifer Anniston? Nope. Not in the NewAge.

Chris Cuomo's finally getting some of what he's got comin' - while his NewAge peddling yogi wife carries on, misinforming suckers, undisturbed. It's not fair.

ELIZABETH HOLMES ADMITS THAT SHE WAS CEO OF THERANOS, THE COMPANY SHE FOUNDED Because, thanks to the cowardice of the average person out there today, a courtroom is probably the only place a NewAger can be forced to admit the obvious, and not "their truth".

Someone Started A Petition To Stop Will Smith And Jada Pinkett Smith From Speaking On Their Marriage and, I'm embarrassed to say, it wasn't TMR.

The most popular social meme guiding the left has is the yogi - images of people (mostly women) participating in NewAge are everywhere as we learn "though yoga communities have verbiage around collectivism as slogans, the reality is they are very focused on themselves,...politically disengaged,...also scientifically illiterate" - these are the people asking "Is society coming apart?" Yeah, because of people like you, and the people and ideas you're choosing. Speaking of which:

It's not as embarrassing as MLK's wife, dying outside a quack's office, but still: not a good statement on how a nation treats it's heroes. An accurate one, though.

Hitler Said To Tell The Big Lie - So Democrats Tell It Right To Their Stupid Faces

Democrats are so dumb, they don't study American history, so, they think - if Kellyanne Conway doesn't catch every lie - that means no lies were told. 

But, if 1,000 journalists (and Bill Clinton) can walk through the offices of Theranos and see no fraud, then a room full of news junkies (including CNN's ace reporter, Jake Tapper) can also allow Hillary Clinton's assistant, Robbie Mook (one third of the trio that came up with the "Russian collusion" hoax) to say we MUST investigate what happened in 2016* because rightwingers at Breitbart were printing conspiracy theories,...trusting no one in the room recalls what set the new FOX News on fire, back in 1998:

Hillary Clinton was trying to cover for Bill's sleazy sex acts by claiming a "vast right wing conspiracy" was against him. 

"The Mook" was allowed to say what he said, because Democrats don't study history (How's "The Crown", kids?) and, yes, they're THAT STUPID. Especially CNN's ace reporter, Jake Tapper. 

*BTW - We know what happened in 2016 because Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes, the two reporters, embedded with Hillary's Presidential campaign to "record history", told us - before the rest of the media thought it better to ignore them.

The Theranos Effect

Vanity Fair thinks "Saturday Night Live Has a Jim Carrey Problem" when Vanity Fair, Saturday Night Live AND Jim Carrey ALL have Jim Carrey's problem: The NewAge Movement. 

After all, Vanity Fair is the former home of the late, great Christopher Hitchens, investigative journalist extraordinaire, who surely would've winced when SNL announced Carrey's hiring, remembering there's a pandemic going on, and Carrey was, and is, an early NewAge leader of The Anti-Vaccine Movement. I don't think, Hitch would've thought, in this, any further magical thinking was called for. 

Did Saturday Night Live (along with Vanity Fair?) somehow miss Carrey's past, or did they just never ask him about how he and Jenny McCarthy were once nonsensically encouraging an entire worldwide movement? And, if so, how? Or does the media, now, just not care who's been misinforming everyone, from the President of the United States to the rest of the world (and/or the rest of us) on knowing how we got here? 

Carrey joined the NewAge in 2007, with his career (and increasingly gargoylish appearance) taking a Dumb & Dumber 2-type U-turn with it, so, how seeing this washed-up, unhinged, anti-science, religious fanatic is supposed to cheer us up every weekend, also could've been demanded to be known by Hitch's old comrades, but isn't. So why even have a media? To sell us scary headlines about how The Anti-Vaccine Movement is hooking-up with the QAnon cult, but NOT to tell us the show everyone's watching - for  Joe Biden being played in aviator glasses - has anything to do with all that?

Or anything to do with anything. With Vanity Fair and the rest of this media, you'd barely know Carrey's part of a "Celebrity Anti-Vaccination Squad" with fellow Democrats, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and fellow SNL co-star Robert De Niro (pictured in 2016). You'd think that whole anti-vaxx thing was just in his past, or maybe it was just him and his old flame, Jenny.

Because, if you believe that, then Kennedy's stirring up QAnon-related anti-government trouble in Germany last month over vaccines (as he's done, here, many times before) stays unconnected to Carrey, or De Niro.

Except for the occasional photo of Kennedy with Alec Baldwin, Carrey and De Niro's co-star as SNL's "Donald Trump".

And then, look at the coverage of De Niro. It's all about his new movie, "War With Grandpa", and his comedy chops, AND his anti-Trump rage - another trait he shares with Carrey - even though Trump was once anti-vaccine, so it was their own movement that partially created what many dislike about The Donald today. 

My point is, even with all this international mayhem they're causing, what all this media coverage does NOT mention is Jim Carrey's connection to Robert De Niro, or Robert F. Kennedy, or Jenny McCarthy.

Or even Andrew Wakefield (above, who started all the trouble) Elle MacPherson (the stupid supermodel who has since become his girlfriend) Oprah Winfrey (the so-called "journalist" who promoted it, all, almost as soon as vaccine paranoia became a thing) or Gwyneth Paltrow (the actress-turned-con artist, who, of course, joined-in to cultivate "Fuck You"). 

This new type of media oversight - or the lack of it - is what I call The Theranos Effect (TTE). That's when lots of educated people can stare right at an *obvious* world of frauds, and still see genius.

You see, America was fed the Watergate lie about journalism: crusading reporters - covering the world like ants - to uncover important stories that protect and inform the people. 

But, the truth is TTE - or what we saw happen at Theranos: a billion idiots walk into a place, drink the Kool-Aid of someone like Elizabeth Holmes, and - like Bill Clinton - swear to GOD "the future's in good hands." 

We're in his predicted future, now - how are you feeling about it? How are you feeling about them? They sat by, and said nothing, as Oprah made "The Secret" a best-seller - and even called it "science" on The Larry King Show - was a killer pandemic what you hoped to get out of that?

Only one journalist, out of hundreds or even thousands, saw through Theranos. He works for The Wall Street Journal and his name is John Carreyrou. He's got all of my respect.

I knew about NXIVM for 12 YEARS before the major media caught on. Hillary Clinton and the Dalai Lama were involved. That's why, I'm here to tell you, for every story you read, there's a real one - DYING to get out - but the rest of us are lucky if even one or two reporters ever get close to it.

And - honestly - I know of only one other guy out there saying it. And Christopher Hitchens wouldn't have liked who it is.

Blinded By The Light

Instead of saying "If You Watched This Elizabeth Holmes TED Talk From 2014, It Was Clear She Was a Fraud From Day One." they could have said "This was before Trump, and anyone - with common sense - could see it from a mile away":

"She used plenty of interesting factoids. She said words like engagement, knowledge, and access. She shifted to a personal story. She lulled us, she calmed us. She talked about things we care about. That are quite serious.

And yet, we were not really listening.

She never really said anything about the science.

Or the tests.

Or the clinics.

Or anything concrete.

She mentioned a few notes here and there about blood tests and fingers. The word nanotainer should have been like a neon sign to all of us, a blinking light at an adult book store eliciting scrutiny and skepticism. Really? Nanotainer? You might as well use the phrase Theranos wellness center. (Wait, she did use that phrase.) 

Words matter. 

But not back then.

Whenever the public's ready to blame itself, I'm ready for their apologies. Promise.

I Could Probably Make It To The Age Of 100 (If Y'all Could Only Make It Worth It)

I want to see is a little more logic applied to American life, now, and I'll be happy:

Cities may not prosecute homeless people for sleeping outside if they have no access to shelter, appeals court rules

The good guys get what's coming to 'em, and bad guys (or gals) get theirs, too:
