That's Juan Williams, who - like all the journalists of the left - seems to forget A) what the Democrat's consider "normal" is what produced President Trump B) normalcy ended Election Night 2016 after Rachel Maddow declared we're in "Hell" (an unprofessionalism she was never punished for) and C) the last four years of "Russian Collusion" lies, and "political hatred and violent extremism" was all from "Trump Haters", and directed at the President and his supporters.
Everyone wanted them "going away" - and Juan's stupid ass with them.
O.K., my salute to James Taranto is over and "the royal wee" is gone, so let's get this thing off on the right foot:
I have made a point of saying I have quit or been fired from numerous jobs that had a NewAge liberal bent, and it was no fun.
I put everything at risk because I either didn't fit in, or wasn't going to tolerate the nonsense liberals have been dishing out, almost in private, at the workplace.
Juan Williams got fired, then got a new better paying job, and is now probably laughing all the way to the bank at the antics of his former employers, NPR. But here's the thing:
If he knew what was going on, as he now says, then why did he stay so long?
We ask this because we've had numerous conversations with people about the awful things liberal NewAgers do behind closed doors, and why people tolerate it, and the answer always comes down to "Well, we're making money."
Clearly, that answer's never been good enough for us - why Juan Williams?
Why anybody?
Is evil made tolerable in America by a paycheck?
And, if it is, then what are we admitting our true values are?
UPDATE: Williams speaks about the marginalization he suffered at the hands of NPR:
We are so happy for Williams, because everything he's ever said about NPR has finally been exposed as the truth, and we know what a weight that can be from a man's back. That he was wrongly fired, hired elsewhere on better terms, and then can watch from safety as those who betrayed him go down in flames, must be gratifying. And - since he now is calling for the defunding of NPR, too - he gets to stomp out the ashes as well. Oh, will miracles never cease!
It's recently occurred to us that we're seeing a number of liberal institutions come apart, kind of all at the same time, or at least in a short span of each other, so, though there hasn't been a conservative ascendency yet, it looks like it's on it's way because, pretty soon, the Left isn't going to have the media resources to shower Obama with praise like they did the last time around.
No, we won't keep reminding y'all how many times we've said this was going to be The Age of the Black Conservative but, we think it's safe to say, Juan Williams is firmly in our camp now - and swinging for the bleachers.
And why not? Not only must it be sweet for this black man to find support while publicly going after an employer who's done him wrong, especially a white one as holier-than-thou as NPR, but some (like we here at TMR) consider bringing NPR down as also the possible fulfillment of some kind of patriotic duty or something.
Watching Juan Williams gleefully tear into NPR - it just re-enforces our long held view, that electing Barack Obama as "America's First Black President" wasn't nearly the major racial event of the new millennium it was sold as, when compared with what it has unleashed.
Life is so strange: we can still remember the very first time we saw Juan Williams on public television, and thinking he was some milk toast-y black guy whose opinions didn't matter much (Which is true if you think about it: until now, has Juan Williams ever said or done anything worth mentioning? Hell, he didn't even do anything now - it was NPR that did something so wrong we're all talking about it). And yet, today, he's the darling of the Right - specifically because he's an old school Democrat and not a "progressive" - after being thrown over the side for ideological impurity. As Bill O'Reilly says, here, Williams' career is now set - thanks to NPR attempting to destroy him. Whodathunkit?
And - wow - who do NPR think they are? Seriously, Juan Williams was a great fit because he was as milk toast-y as they appeared to be. Now, here they come, playing hardball with a guy they probably thought wouldn't fight back - forgetting the thing they hated most about him were his conservative friends - but now he's got a lot of friends, and even worse, they're coming into power, ready to fight. It's just a stupid, stupid, stupid move by NPR, all around.
If NPR soon gets defunded (as Sarah Palin suggests) that'll be fine by us - we stopped watching/listening to them years ago, once we realized they were a part of the NewAge matrix - because anything that forces Louise Hay to dig deeper, into her own pocket, to keep an outlet for her stable of NewAgers open, is A-OK around here. (We'd be happier if Hay just died already, but whatever.)
And if, like Air America, NPR eventually finds they can't survive without sucking on the public tit, all the better. This Juan Williams thing is just the sort of episode that proves why. They weren't ever to have been trusted - or supported - and especially not on the public dime. As we've been saying for years (and even David Mamet eventually discovered - calling them "National Palestinian Radio") underneath that soft-spoken coo-cooing, they're nothing but a nest of NewAge vipers:
