Where Bill Maher And I See The Same Thing

  1. There is much more to this debate than commonly thought. I recommend that you pick up a copy of The Design Matrix by Mike Gene. You might even post a review on it.

  2. Anon,

If evolution is wrong then where do all the things that we derive from it come from? If it was wrong then none of them - vaccines, etc. - would be with us today, since they're all built on that knowledge base.

Any attempts to muddy the waters of what we know (even nicely presented ones) don't interest me, even a little. Nice try though.

  3. Who said evolution was wrong? And the book doesn't say it's wrong either. So I feel compelled to make another try.

  4. Dude, I went to that Amazon page, first. This guy's playing games and, like Barack Obama is discovering, pretty words can't cover it.

There's no God, or gods, so there's no controversy that needs to be cleared up, or agreements (between science and religion) that have to be settled. Maturity is all that's called for now, and if you can't get there, then accept your childishness for what it is.

    I do.

  5. Dude,

How does one settle an agreement?

I'm not sure what you're talking about when you say the guy is playing games; it just seemed to me that he wanted to write a book about how one should properly reason about such things. But if you insist on faith and dogma, I can't stop you.
