"Colorblind" is an old American concept.
Hiding racism behind an admirable idea is an ancient American tradition.
Not much about racism can still stake that claim.
The basic concept is, it's O.K. to mistreat black people again, because the attackers aren't attacking black people - just folks.
See, they "don't see color" - which means "you could be green, yellow, blue or purple" - doesn't matter.
What's important is the mistreatment have nothing to do with race.
But the targets stay black.
That way the 400-year history of oppression can continue.
Through other, less obvious, means.
Like The Instant Implication of Irrationality Trick:
Accuse blacks of yelling if we raise our voice - always a charmer.
Nobody talks to you that way, right?
Nobody talks to you that way, right?
Or how about the white "friend" who draws a black person into a racial conversation, to learn, but - as soon as they hear something they don't like - that "friend" gets angry and lashes out, somehow, causing real-world consequences for the black?
Oh yeah, we're gonna build a bright future out of this stuff,…
Simple, yet to the point. Thanks for that :)
