2001 - 2009: When All Hell Broke Loose

Remember the Bush years? I do - that's when I came out as a conservative. It was disgust that finally did it. I had one friend, a photojournalist, who, whenever he came over and discovered I had guests (which was often) would immediately set about poisoning their minds to our foreign policy - even after I begged him to stop. But he, and too many others, were just incapable of stopping themselves.

Bush Derangement Syndrome. Nasty business. They'd all gone mad.

And, anyway, why should anyone have tried to stop? That now-revealed font of journalistic wisdom, Helen Thomas, labeled George W. Bush "the worst president in history", giving permission for that lie to be openly parroted by every wannabe cool I'm-not-political know-nothing on the planet.

In hindsight, of course, it was free-floating ignorance and hatred and nothing more. But it crushed me - not just here but overseas as well:
"I know some Europeans who are not quite anti-American — they just support or accept America when the voters elect liberal Democrats. When the voters, under the influence of darkness, elect conservatives, all bets are off: America is illegit."
Yes, yes - as someone who traveled to Europe often in those days - I do remember it well.

What am I saying? I'll never be able to forget it - it haunts my dreams:

It was absolutely the worst time of my life.

But now, in their insanity, the Democrats are back to slicing their own throats, so, thank goodness, it's all finally almost over,...

Is This How The Cookie Crumbles?

Sure - it's probably premature - but it's looking like, with the self-immolation of Helen Thomas, the Democrats might be coming apart.

Yipee!

Helen Thomas Is Gone (To Where She Belongs)

Could this be the beginning of the end for liberalism's hold on American journalism? That ogre didn't exist in a vacuum - sitting in the front row of the White House for 40 years. Shouldn't the others be called out for their nonsense as well?

Is it finally time for American journalism's cleansing?

I'm askin',...

They're Thinking They Can Jew Us On This One*

This is a lie, and (as usual) the Obama administration really thinks we're stupid:

Helen Thomas did not "apologize" - she issued a statement of regret - which isn't the same thing. An apology is saying, "I'm sincerely sorry to everyone I've hurt, when I said that terrible thing I'll never, ever say again, and I ask that, please, somehow, you can find it in your hearts to forgive me."

A statement of regret means you wish you hadn't gotten caught.

I've told you before - liberals don't apologize - they just claim to, or look for another option to doing so,...like trying to play us for fools.

But there is no other option. I know an apology when I receive one. It's easy to forgive someone who admits they did wrong and needs our forgiveness. It starts to become impossible when the original wrong is compounded by the transgressor, and her supporters, by trying to play us for idiots - which is exactly what's happening here.

It's funny that none of those wise, and supposedly-better-educated, journalists in the White House Press Corpse seems to understand this.

That said, Robert Gibbs, too, needs to hit the "reset" button.

Helen Thomas has to go.

*This title is a joke.

UPDATE: Drudge is reporting that Helen Thomas is retiring. See? No apology!

There. She's not only ugly on the outside but she's stupid too. Damaged goods now, baby, bye bye. Get her outta here. Get her outta here!

She's smelling up the joint.

UPDATE: That NewAge Daily Kos asshole don’t know much about geography, either,...

A mediasphere of idiots, I tell ya, it's just a mediasphere of idiots.

Don't Know Much About His-to-ry I is here.
