France Is Famous For Two Things: The Whine & Cheese

There are people who laugh at me for my attitude about France, but I know better:
"The truth may be that France is a country much like our own, with food that can be nice or nasty, children who may be brattish or mannerly and women who sometimes look tres chic and sometimes don’t. What’s more, she points out, the French way of life - ‘formal, hierarchical, state-controlled and prescriptive - is diametrically opposed to the individualism ... that lies at the heart of Anglo-Saxon society’."

You goddamned right. I can't breathe there. Look at those words again - "formal, hierarchical, state-controlled and prescriptive" - baby, that ain't me. It ain't y'all either. It ain't free. You make kind of cute, but the day-to-day would kill you, it's so poisonous and boring.
"I’m sitting drunk on absinthe in the George V, one of the classiest hotels in the burg, having made my way clear across the pond to catch Les Variations, who have by now become my fast friends even though I still haven’t seen ‘em live and don’t much like their album, on their home turf. Paris would be a great city if you’d get rid of all the people, who are the deadest, coldest, glummest, most maudlin clot of sad sacks I have ever witnessed in one place in my life. I had heard of their legendary hostility and anti-Americanism, and was hoping at least for a wine bottle upside the head and “Vietnam war pig!,” but no such luck. Instead we visit all the old and legendary avant-garde watering holes, La Coupole, Café Flore, and they’re full of drab and beaten souls who’re whiling away the days with sullenly intense discussions of the comparative merits of Samuel Beckett and Robbe-Grillet. We’re at Café Flore and I ask Alain, “How come everybody here is so gloomy?”
“It's a gay bar,” he says.
I see, that makes sense, that all the old avant-garde watering holes would turn into places where old faggots hang out, except that it's more than that, it's the French sense of clammily melodramatic gloom and defeat which comes from, among other excuses, taking it up the ass in two successive world wars."

But it's more than that. Look at this stupid question-and-answer session:
"So why are tourists flocking to France but unwilling to part with their cash once they get there?
Partially it's because France tends to be a short-stay location: Europeans head to Paris for a weekend; visitors from further afield combine a visit to the city with other European capitals, devoting a few days to each.
Pinel, the tourism minister, says that one way to get tourists spending more money and time in France is to draw them to other parts of the country -- and persuade regions to work together as partners, not competitors.
"Because we see regions or territories that compete to promote themselves internationally, but the goal is to have several territories that are promoted, so they can all benefit with longer visits," Pinel said in an interview with The Associated Press. "Our special difficulty is that we're a country that is visited, notably the Ile-de-France region (around the capital) and Paris, but has trouble capturing visitors for a long time in other regions."
But the crowds of tourists descending on Paris are also part of the problem.
"It's sometimes a bit difficult to marry the Parisians with their 30 million tourists," says Audrey Epeche, who works in the office of Jean-Bernard Bros, the deputy mayor in charge of tourism, in an attempt to explain the city's reputation for rudeness."

It's all bullshit. Sure, the french need an ass kicking, but that's not why people aren't spending money. The answer is simple - here's a hint:
"France's Socialist government has vowed to change this."

Right - people who hate capitalism are going to make it easy to spend money.
Uh-huh. Sure, tell me another one.

I tell you, that place is one of the Seven Circles of Hell,...

The Butthole Surfers Doing "American Woman"

I'm just posting this Canadian diss of my country and it's women because A) many American women do leave something to be desired these days B) Canada will always be a joke to us, and C) I definitely don't post enough Texas acid heads.

An Update On The Results Of A Blogger Firewall

I'm about to get busy here again, but I wanted to give you the latest:

This is so bizarre it's got me scratching my head - and smiling a little.

First, while the number of visitors is still waaaay down from before they slapped this thing on me, the number of readers - people actually clicking links and tags and taking in what I've written on more than one page - now make up almost 40% of the blog. (It used to rarely get above 25% and if, say, I got a link from Instapundit or whatever, that would shrink to about 5%.) That's cool! There's not a blogger on the planet who doesn't want to be read and, take my word for it, I'm no exception!

On a related note, while men have been giving more in donations as individuals, the number of WOMEN has been staggering. Women now make up almost three times the number of donations I've received, and it's more-than-gratifying to know they can see past the bluster and bravado to the good intentions I write with.

While I've never been a Michelle Obama and have always been proud of my country, this display of generosity on the part of my fellow Americans (and some around the world) just renews my passion for telling everyone - whether it be my fellow blacks, or liberals, or anyone out there nursing an anti-American bent - they've got our country all wrong. This IS an amazing place, and you can be sure that if I make it, with your help, I will not be shy about letting everyone know the kindness and support that awaits anyone who finally drops the bullshit and includes themselves, in any way, into the American family. As a foster child, I had no choice - one could say my country raised me - but as an adult, it's been a choice I made on my own and, without a doubt, it's been one I have not and will not ever regret - though, I'm sure, we still have to get rid of the stinking NewAge.

Thank you all - I truly do love you,

CMC

Exposing It All (For Your Pleasure Alone) Part I

This post is just a clearinghouse of links and other stuff (pictures, videos) that I thought might be of interest. I'd like to tell you what I think about everything I post, but that'll have to wait until I become capable of shooting video, I guess. In the meantime, you'll just have to decipher what I think of all this for yourself, based on my previous disposition:

Would you buy a new car from this man?

Five books on the German views of World War II.

How the Mormons fit the cult profile.

Murphy had some other laws.

Why didn't they speak out? Jury finds Philadelphia doctors failed to report 'House of Horrors' abortion doctor.

‘It is horrendous. They don’t leave your mind to think for itself. You’re supposed to hate Jews. You’re supposed to hate America. You’re supposed to hate Western culture.’

O.K., Let's Go Back And Start All Over Again,...

...And this time, as we apply pressure, don't let up for anything:

Remember Election Day, 2008, and the sense of isolation you felt.

Remember John McCain, giving that beautiful concession speech about the racial history of our country, after repeatedly being called a racist by everyone on the Left - including Madonna and Family Guy (I am still really pissed at Family Guy because I used to like that show).

Remember the media, hiding the John Edwards affair, abandoning the country to get their way - and remember Bill Maher on The Daily Show, talking to Jon Stewart about the chances of "our boy", and nobody saying a word about race, or media bias, then.

Remember the "friends" who revealed they, too, would rather get their way than listen to reason - who were willing to silence those who loved them - and who put "making history" before making sense.

Remember the violence, and the vandalism, and the lying, and thuggery.

Remember the unions.

Remember they all were going to rule "over" us for 40 years.

And then apply more pressure.

And, please, don't forget the cultism, political and otherwise, including the NewAgers silently going to work, Arianna Huffington saying to use the ruthless "Lizard Brain", Farrakhan calling him "The Messiah" who had "captured the youth", and Oprah christening him "The One" - the astrological domain and history of The Daily Kos - and how no one bothered to say, "Isn't that strange?"

Don't forget Obama didn't tell them to shut up, and knock it off, like a decent person would have.

Don't forget they were unhappy living in the greatest country on Earth, that's provided them with everything they have (and everything they think they know) because it's a free country that allows them to be idiots and scum if they choose to go there - and, laughing, they did.

Don't forget any of it.

Don't forget one second of the last 10 years.

No, don't forget what they did to President Bush, and said about Vice-President Cheney, in the middle of a war that had taken a turn for the worse - for a while.

Don't forget Scooter Libby and the lies of Valarie Plame.

Don't forget who, and what, a Michael Moore is.

And then keep the pressure coming.

They were to hit us twice as hard and bring a gun to knife fight.

They had to pass it so we could see what's in it.

We had to ride in the back.

We're the cowards when it comes to race.

And this is Mexico.

No one white and male is as smart as a wise Latina.

Sarah Palin is stupid, not even a woman, and responsible for the actions of a NewAge killer.

Clarence Thomas should be lynched.

The Tea Party is racist and violent.

Kenneth Gladney, that nigger got what he deserved.

And the JournoList will throw you through a plate glass window.

NPR.

The BP oil spill.

Michelle's extravagant trips on our dime and the lie that she's fashionable or beautiful.

The bowing.

The apologizing.

The Queen, receiving an iPod of speeches, the Prime Minister, a set of classic Hollywood movies on DVDs he couldn't play, and - oh yeah - England, our most trusted and loyal friend in the history of the modern world, can have their bust of Winston Churchill back, too. (Who needs him?)

The abandonment of Iran's Green Revolution when we knew the courage it took for them to try.

The abandonment of everything that makes us who we are.

And, finally, the spending and the spending and the spending - all of it going to his friends so we'll be stuck with him, and them, and this, for four more years.

Yes, it's time to re-apply the pressure.

And this time, we don't let up.

George Lucas Meet Jared. Jared Loughner Meet George Lucas. You Two Talk - You're Both Nuts!

See, we always suspected all that talk about "The Force" and other bullshit in Star Wars was just a bunch of "spiritual" flapdoodle, meant to condition the culture for the NewAge - now here's Seth Rogen on the connection between Jared Lee Loughner and George Lucas:

“George Lucas sits down and seriously proceeds to talk for around 25 minutes about how he thinks the world is gonna end in the year 2012, like, for real. He thinks it.

“He’s going on about the tectonic plates and all the time Spielberg is, like, rolling his eyes, like, ’My nerdy friend won’t shut up, I’m sorry...’

“I first thought he (Lucas) was joking... and then I totally realized he was serious and then I started thinking, ’If you’re George Lucas and you actually think the world is gonna end in a year, there’s no way you haven’t built a spaceship for yourself... So I asked him... ’Can I have a seat on it?’

“He claimed he didn’t have a spaceship, but there’s no doubt there’s a Millennium Falcon in a garage somewhere with a pilot just waiting to go... It’s gonna be him and Steven Spielberg and I’ll be blown up like the rest of us.”
And y'all probably thought we were being too hard on Hollywood the other day when we called it a "nest of NewAge vipers" but, being from California ourselves (we went to high school in North Hollywood) we know that about which we speak:

America - the entire country - has been played by these frauds for decades.

Why do you think Pajamas Media's Roger L. Simon focuses on them? Why do you think Andrew Breitbart has a Big Hollywood site? Like everyone missing the motives of Jared Lee Loughner, those two conservatives probably don't even know why they've chosen to focus on "America's Dream Factory".

Hollywood is a bunch of NewAgers. That's why they insist on putting NewAge themes in films and television. (Don't get us started about television,...) Why they rarely make pro-American movies - going so far as even opposing their own country in wartime.

Why they don't try to help the Scientologists escape the cult. Or those tripping on Kabbalah. Or any other weirdness. (Have you noticed that, despite all of Hollywood's experience with them, there haven't been many movies warning us against cultism?) Why they're always threatening to leave when things don't go their way politically. Why no one picks on George Lucas for gaining weight, never getting a decent haircut, and making one bad movie after another. They're NewAgers. They're the Empire.

And George Lucas has always been Darth Vader.

But now he's fucking with TMR - and we're the best of the Rebel Alliance.

It Looks Like A Theme's Developing: Another Homeless Talent More Deserving Than Most

First there was Brad Prowley, and now there's Ted Williams - both more deserving than the cooler-than-thou spoiled brats we call today's "celebrities", with their cult beliefs, "green" pronouncements, and anti-American views. Fuck 'em all.

Come on, America, put the real talents to work (including this one) and let's not only change the culture of this nation but get this show on the road!

UPDATE: It looks like things are looking up for ol' Ted.

Remember The Blind Men And The Elephant?

Stop the presses:

Allen West, a black Florida Republican, just ran for Congress - and won - as just an American? Really? He ran on that? No hyphen or anything? You're bullshitting me!

Isn't it a PC rule (or a NewAge rule or somebody's rule) that - along with forcing adults to use baby talk like "the n-word" - all American blacks are to be referred to as "African-American" whether they'll ever go to Africa or not? Isn't the term "American" in it's non-negative form (like determinations about what words can leave everyone else's mouths) reserved for guilty liberal white people and guilty liberal white people alone? Then what gives? This black "American" nonsense isn't "progressive"! Where'd his damn skin come from?

If you ask us, the Democrat Party - formally the great Dixiecrat Party of the KKK - is really falling down on the job these days:

Because this guy - well, if you ask us, this guy's been allowed to get waaay too damned uppity already,...

Note To Lady GaGa: We Don't Follow Occultists

This is the woman who has spent $5,000 on equipment to search her dressing rooms for spirits, thinking she can influence our politics, just as Madonna went around telling everyone we should be putting Kabbalah water in our nuclear reactors. Just as Oprah, with her collection of NewAge spiritualists, helped bring us the unmitigated disaster of Obama. Just as all the occultists were behind the election of Obama.

I've told you about these people. I've told you what they think (if you can call what they do thinking) and what the result of their influence would be - and I was right. I have said we should focus on this particular idiot to expose the lunacy that she's already brought to the public sphere. Now this dummy is openly stating her opposition to the desire of the American people when it comes to securing our southern border from illegal immigration. She is truly insane. Especially because she doesn't realize what the American people have given her, the American people can take away. Tea Partiers, are you listening?

I think it's about time she discovered the truth of what I say.

And I will add here, if you want to build an opposition to this nonsense in the world of music, please consider making a donation to this blog because - just as Andrew Breitbart has stated he wants to go down in history as the man who brought down the institutional Left - bringing down the cultural Left is my life's goal.

And, as you can see, we need it now more than ever.

2001 - 2009: When All Hell Broke Loose

Remember the Bush years? I do - that's when I came out as a conservative. It was disgust that finally did it. I had one friend, a photojournalist, who, whenever he came over and discovered I had guests (which was often) would immediately set about poisoning their minds to our foreign policy - even after I begged him to stop. But he, and too many others, were just incapable of stopping themselves.

Bush Derangement Syndrome. Nasty business. They'd all gone mad.

And, anyway, why should anyone have tried to stop? That now-revealed font of journalistic wisdom, Helen Thomas, labeled George W. Bush "the worst president in history", giving permission for that lie to be openly parroted by every wannabe cool I'm-not-political know-nothing on the planet.

In hindsight, of course, it was free-floating ignorance and hatred and nothing more. But it crushed me - not just here but overseas as well:
"I know some Europeans who are not quite anti-American — they just support or accept America when the voters elect liberal Democrats. When the voters, under the influence of darkness, elect conservatives, all bets are off: America is illegit."
Yes, yes - as someone who traveled to Europe often in those days - I do remember it well.

What am I saying? I'll never be able to forget it - it haunts my dreams:

It was absolutely the worst time of my life.

But now, in their insanity, the Democrats are back to slicing their own throats, so, thank goodness, it's all finally almost over,...

Ugly: Inside And Out (There's A Real Difference?)

Contrast and compare - here's Exhibit A:

Every woman in the photo, above, is a known NewAger - like Rielle Hunter, supposedly a "spiritual" person - who has proven, in both word and deed, they can't be trusted by anyone, including co-workers, family, and friends. They've proudly slept with other people's spouses, destroyed families - including their own - openly lied to almost everyone they've come in contact with, endorsed cultism and quackery around the globe, badmouthed our country, campaigned for candidates and political proposals that have already hurt us, used their celebrity as a hammer, etc. They're all 100% absolutely disgusting people, who are so ugly - on the inside - that when cut, they probably bleed feces.

Next up, of course, you've got the outward abominations in Exhibit B:

Now, using these two examples, can you honestly say which group is the least attractive?

Holder Tight Or Letter Go (All You Need To No)

If you ever wanted to see an example of why I say religion is the subject of the day - not politics - all you have to do is watch this 2 min. video of U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder - the same man who called America “a nation of cowards” and Bush officials war criminals - treating the words "radical Islam" as taboo. Only religion has this power; to weave itself "within you and without you" to make you betray yourself.

Nasty business.

It Was All Downhill From There

"I am not of this planet. I do not come from you. I am not like you."
-- Nina Simone, giving us a taste of the thought process that, back in 1978, explained why she eventually drifted into mental illness - and ended up living, and being accepted, in France - after constructing an image of being such an alien bitch, in The New York Times.

Facts On The Ground (About Gods In The Sky)

"The curtain has come down on what can best be described as a brief un-American moment in our history. That moment began in the fall of 2008, with the great financial panic, and gave rise to the Barack Obama phenomenon.

The nation's faith in institutions and time-honored ways had cracked. In a little-known senator from Illinois millions of Americans came to see a savior who would deliver the nation out of its troubles. Gone was the empiricism in political life that had marked the American temper in politics. A charismatic leader had risen in a manner akin to the way politics plays out in distressed and Third World societies.

There is nothing surprising about where Mr. Obama finds himself today. He had been made by charisma, and political magic, and has been felled by it. If his rise had been spectacular, so, too, has been his fall. The speed with which some of his devotees have turned on him—and their unwillingness to own up to what their infatuation had wrought—is nothing short of astounding. But this is the bargain Mr. Obama had made with political fortune.

He was a blank slate, and devotees projected onto him what they wanted or wished. In the manner of political redeemers who have marked—and wrecked—the politics of the Arab world and Latin America, Mr. Obama left the crowd to its most precious and volatile asset—its imagination. There was no internal coherence to the coalition that swept him to power. There was cultural 'cool' and racial absolution for the white professional classes who were the first to embrace him. There was understandable racial pride on the part of the African-American community that came around to his banners after it ditched the Clinton dynasty.

The white working class had been slow to be convinced. The technocracy and elitism of Mr. Obama's campaign—indeed of his whole persona—troubled that big constituency, much more, I believe, than did his race and name. The promise of economic help, of an interventionist state that would salvage ailing industries and provide a safety net for the working poor, reconciled these voters to a candidate they viewed with a healthy measure of suspicion. He had been caught denigrating them as people 'clinging to their guns and religion,' but they had forgiven him.

Americans don't deify their leaders or hang on their utterances, but Mr. Obama succumbed to what the devotees said of him: He was the Awaited One. A measure of reticence could have served him. But the flight had been heady, and in the manner of Icarus, Mr. Obama flew too close to the sun.

In this extraordinary tale of hubris undone, the Europeans—more even than the people in Islamic lands—can be assigned no small share of blame. They overdid the enthusiasm for the star who had risen in America.

It was the way in Paris and Berlin (not to forget Oslo of course) of rebuking all that played out in America since 9/11—the vigilance, the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, the sense that America's interests and ways were threatened by a vengeful Islamism. But while the Europeans and Muslim crowds hailed him, they damned his country all the same.

There had been that magical moment—the campaign of 2008—and the true believers want to return to it. But reality is merciless. The spell is broken."
-- Fouad Ajami, with the key factor that I, a lover of reality, missed about the last election - it was "a brief un-American moment" - which is why I couldn't relate to it, like I can The Wall Street Journal.
