Nobody Knows The Trouble I've Seen (About How Little The World Still Knows)

"You get your news from Chris Cuomo on CNN when he's married to a woman selling quackery out the back door."

- The Crack Emcee, NewAge Poop

"My wife is a wellness person, you know. She runs this business where she's learning about homeopathic and all these different things, so she's given me a ton of stuff. I don't even ask what it is."

- Chris Cuomo, Democrat party royalty, supposed-journalist, and science critic

Take a moment to understand what Chris Cuomo can say, on American television, while talking to a Doctor and another journalist - and recieve no pushback. He's admitting he and his wife have a deep proclivity, not just for quackery, but for the Daddy of them all. Two people who are, both, living in a world of madness (being parodied above) while CNN helped them drag society further into it with them.

I love the vague formulation, "She runs this business where she's learning about homeopathic," which is accepted - again: with no pushback - as though it's perfectly normal for a journalist's wife to be educating herself after she starts charging people for what she's selling (Chris Cuomo's wife is a grifter).

And what is she selling? "Homeopathic and all these different things". When a journalist should know homeopathy is water. "I don't even ask what it is" he says, instead, revealing his worth as a journalist. (His niece, Andrew Cuomo's daughter, also runs a NewAge podcast).

Dr. Oz's wife, Lisa, is also a "reiki master" and homeopath, so one can only assume he's a physician who also doesn't question what the missus is up to.

RFK, Jr. was supposedly "vetted" by Congress, without a single question tying him to other quacks, or quackery.

Which brings us, once again, to the question: if "The Age Of Unreason" was declared by Frank Furedi in the same year Richard Dawkins exposed who "The Enemies of Reason" were (by that time, and specifically mentioning people into homeopathy) then, by now - 20 years after we haven't done a single thing to address a single issue raised back in 2005 - is it fair to say reason's enemies have won, and the west has legitimately gone insane? I mean, how could we ever stop something so few see (or ever saw) as a threat?

Take all the time you need,...

America's Still Trapped In Suspended Animation (As The GOP Runs America)

This is obviously a strange time to be alive. It's even stranger if you started a blog in 2005, called The Macho Response, that predicted the cultural shift we're now experiencing, including - and probably especially - the defeat of the Democratic party. In hindsight, it wasn't that hard to see coming, because TMR was analyzing the deeper reasons America's been failing, not just moaning how bad it is to be where we are. And those underlying forces - like a love for NewAge cultism - still aren't being anywhere near fully addressed. If they were, we wouldn't have the husband to a "reiki master" and homeopath in charge of Medicare

Oh well. At least cartoons, today, better reflect our cartoon lives.

While the "6-7" meme is cute (and definitely not some "Satanic Numerology bullshit") it's also illustrative, in the wake of "Rapture" claims and the shooting of Christian grifter Charlie Kirk, because it reflects how easy it still is - even in 2025 - for seemingly-educated and intelligent people to get swept away by low-calorie ideas. South Park's contrast (of kids enamored by "6-7," with something equally powerful but invalid that adults are into, like Peter Thiel and the Christian concept of an Anti-Christ) nails how dangerous this cavalier treatment of beliefs is: as school authorities are coming down on innocent kids over nothing, for religious reasons, the powerful also decide they also see threats to us all.

The difference is, the kids know the idea they're playing with is nothing, while, by the time they become adults, they're treating all of it like it's very real. And - except for kids having fun for a while - no good is coming from any of it. As everyone takes action.

Today, contradictions, of all kinds, are starting to pile on top of one another. When Democrats were in power America saw encroaching fascism. Now, the GOP was complaining that people are shooting at them, before the Young Republicans were caught admitting they're Nazis who love them some Hitler. And this led to JD Vance - who, at the start of the administration, made it known he'd punish anyone being so antisemitic as to criticize Israel's genocide - now claiming these ultimate of antisemites on the right are just kids (in their 20s and 30s) having fun

You know, like 8-year olds, on South Park.

That's Rich

It's wild to remember Elon Musk was popping a Nazi salute - while complaining about a NewAge "mind virus" - when Naziism sprang from the NewAge beliefs of the Thule Society, and the teachings of Madame Blavatsky.

A Fourth Of You Lie Reminder (For Liberals Out There Suffering Under Trump)

Like with Naziism in the 1920s and 30s, as Fascism arrived in Germany, for the late 20th century, the Democrats opened the door for Donald Trump by adopting NewAge in America. (This is why Oprah spoke at every DNC and even got Obama's honors after peddling The Secret). Trump left the Democrat Party, but kept RFK, Jr. and Dr. Oz, so the connection to NewAge quackery - which, clearly, the left and right seem to immensely (and stupidly) enjoy - stays obvious.

Voltaire warned you: "Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities."

So, it should come as no surprise that, here we are in 2025 - long after Vietnam - celebrating the birthday of a nation known for killing babies again.

NewAge Is Neither Left Or Right

"It was a mistake for Democrats to not listen to the voters earlier and set up a process that would have gotten us in a position when we could've been more competitive. Ultimately, in retrospect, you can't defend what the Democratic Party did because we are stuck with a madman."
These words, from Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy, only serve to point out how long it takes for NewAgers to admit their failings.
Actually doing something about thier failings will take much longer, because (as I've said many times) Democrats don't learn. So they don't admit wrong. So they don't apologize. They always prefer to "move on" from what they've done, in hopes that they can either A) outrun it, or B) compel the world to "move on," too.
The desire to "move on" is how Naziism has survived since WWII.

"I'm A White Man. You Can't Even Hurt My FEELINGS!" - Louis CK 15 Years Ago

It looks like the word's out, that Kamala Harris wasn't doing everything she could to stop the genocide in Palestine, as AOC said. For a country that's fully wired, that's an incredible amount of lag-time, between when a lie is spoken and the truth is exposed.

We should work on that.

Speaking of lag-time, NewAge as a diluted form of Nazi fascism still hasn't sunk in very deeply, yet. Nobody tell Oprah. Let's see how long it takes for a "journalist" to catch on to her own self-deception.
Speaking of self-deception and forms of white supremacy, according to MSNBC, "MAGA world helps raise over $600,000 after woman hurls racist slur at a child in Minnesota," potentially saying a lot about "MAGA world" and how they handle free speech. But first, I'm curious about the woman in question, Shiloh Hendrix - who thinks she's been put in a dire situation - not that she made one for herself. She claimed "I called the kid out for what he was" after the 5-year old took a toy from her diaper bag:

So what would a white 5-year old have been?
So, speaking of self-deception, forms of white supremacy, and free speech in the United States today - for those of you keeping score at home - in Trump's America, you can raise money for calling kids "niggers," and we hate DEI (though the entire country is now a "safe space" and/or a "sanctuary city" for zionists) but any visitor who says anything against Israel can get kicked out of the country. Oh, and universities are also the playthings of Trump and rich zionists. And don't forget the rich South Africans running things, here now, raised under apartheid and acting like it.

It's all making MAGA's potential for "greatness" feel very elusive.

Asking Crazy People To Fix Things (How's That Supposed To Work?)

Drifting from the fascism of the Democrat's NewAge spirituality, to the fascism within the Republican's Christian theocratic version SHOULD be a whiplash, but - instead - it's going as smooth as silk, due to electing a Trump administration full of former Democrats

Now we get Jesus AND "alternative" medicine! The Prosperity Gospel AND newscasters who talk to "psychics." It's the "best" of both insane worlds, for the worst of all possible outcomes

The US is still in decline

Sigh: Nobody Listens To Me

You can't get from whatever NewAgers think they're doing - to Madame Blavatsky who made it up - without going through Adolf Hitler

Like Voltaire said, you gotta believe some crazy shit to wind up putting Jews in ovens
We're in one of those crazy periods now, when people are retreating into madness, rather than relying on reality, so anything can happen - and will - if you don't count slaughtering Palestinians as anything unusual for the Oprah-loving United States of America to be part of

Bill Maher Had A Talk With The King Of Fairyland

How will Gavin Newsom save the Democrats with a podcast, when he and Bill Maher think it’s Republican guests who are “controversial”? Like I've forgotten Newsom still hasn’t sincerely apologized to his constituents for having an affair with his Best Friend’s wife during his campaign (his Best Friend was also his Campaign Manager, who Newsom betrayed as he toiled on his behalf) and then lied about going to rehab afterward, before damaging his credibility even more (if that were possible) by marrying a kooky NewAge “empath” - a woman who is advertising the belief system that is the real “shit” John Fetterman describes, when he says "Democrats have to get their shit together."

Newsom is my Governor, but he's so repulsive, I skipped watching his segment on Real Time altogether.

And who listens to John Fetterman after he accepted a silver pager from Bibi Netanyahu, each one, a symbol of a horrible war crime? The pager attack they’re so proud of didn't hit Hezbollah fighters, who stopped carrying pagers long before the attack, but ordinary people who use pagers, like truck drivers and nurses – and it also hurt and killed a lot of children. What's to celebrate?

I don't know who is more brain damaged: the horrible cretin stealing Palestinian land, and celebrating his terrorist attack on it's innocent people, or the assholes honored to be accepting a memento from them. But - whichever it is - a podcast ain’t gonna cure what ails them.

NewAge Beliefs Are The U.S.'s "Irreconcilable Differences" (Causing All Divorces)

And it's the stupid women, embracing NewAge, who are destroying life as we know it: wrecking, literally, everything - for everyone - everywhere.

Over NOTHING.

Democrats: The Only People Capable Of Getting In Trouble Are Conservatives

After 20 years of marriage to a crazy French woman who embraced every kooky idea on the NewAge left (and was embraced by the left for it) it's refreshing to hear The Georgia representative has embraced nearly every crazy conspiracy theory that is popular on the right, because I needed to see if the concern for such things only runs one way, and - miraculously - it really does.
Even after 30-plus years, of openly peddling crazy NewAge leftist bullshit on TV, on a daily basis - without challenge - the Democrat Party STILL doesn't register as the main entity that's doing us wrong, and spinning our world out of control.

Sure, Oprah brought us the Antivaccine Movement, now worrying everybody, but let's blame others - especially Donald Trump.

Sure, Oprah brought us proud cult members, now worrying everybody, but let's blame others - especially Donald Trump.

Sure, Oprah brought us proud quack doctors, now worrying everybody, but let's blame others - especially Donald Trump.

Sure, Oprah is the Democrat Party member most responsible for introducing the world to just about everything now plaguing the planet (including aspects of the plague) but also blaming others - but especially Donald Trump.

The Understatement Of The Day On Trump (And Probably The Last Five Years)

So said Rick Ross, the #1 cult expert in the world. It looks especially bad if that's a defense for the political party of Jim Jones and the People's Temple, One Taste, Heaven's Gate, NXIVM, Oprah, Marianne Williamson, Deepak Chopra, the Clintons, and more indefensible NewAge cult nonsense than a dowser could shake a stick at.
The Democrat Party also has a very serious "projection" problem.

The Media's One Dimensional Black Characters Count

Some days, it's kind of hard not to think the entire world has it in for me, that the hippies designed the NewAge so a man like me will gag to death.

I'm in my car and some idiot on NPR is describing cooking as a "spiritual" experience. I change the channel, only to find someone describing an art opening as "reflective of our community's spiritual vision,..." I open a window.

The idea, that an artist who cooks his own meals doesn't share their "spiritual" delusion - and they are saying absolutely nothing when mentioning it - never occurs to them. They just prattle on. Take away their jargon, for the undefinably vague, and they'd have nothing to say. And replacing them with someone sane, who has something to say about the real world, never occurs to anyone.

We are a failing culture.

I turn the radio off and silently drive past a billboard with only one word on it - "Hopeless" - the first thing I've seen today that finally makes me smile in recognition.

Another affect of NewAge "thinking" on me:

I smile in, and at, despair now.

I call a friend, and he tells me the woman in his life has put his carefully-constructed financial situation in peril- on a whim. I tell him it's my wife's birthday. He asks how I can still care. I tell him it sneaks up on me, catches me with my guard down, like what this woman's done with his money. Don't allow them into a position of trust and they simply can't hurt you. If you do, the pain can last a lifetime - something the baby killers don't acknowledge as they go on their way - because, being baby killers, there's no denying they don't feel the same.
I'm one of the people who simply cannot enjoy watching "The Office." I understand why it's good and why people find it funny, and why the "cringe-inducing" quality is considered a sophisticated element of comedy, but it makes me feel bad. Even thinking about watching the show makes me feel bad.

Great show on the human condition, horrible woman.

I've always thought it wild that people can watch The Simpsons, or South Park, or The Office, or maybe a stand-up comedian, and - no matter what's said or done - they act like it bears no reflection on them. I mean, I can write - practically every day - that Ann Althouse makes me cringe, but what does she care? She's only moved by an annoying fictional TV character she actively avoids. That her own behavior resembles. But she won't put 2 x 2 together.

Denial is strong in that one.

If nothing else, right now, I'm glad I'm "my own man" - AKA a unique individual - "angry" or no:

In Ann's stupid hippie cesspool, I can't bump into ugly examples of myself anywhere, but here,...

We Didn't Start The Fire (The NewAge/Nazi Connection)

I become excruciatingly aware whenever I retrace old ground (and I become excruciatingly aware a LOT) but, it seems to me, this particular trench still isn't deep enough. Not for young children to run in safely yet. Or even see, if parts get bombed, so they must be memorized. Rote, if necessary. Totally Old School. Repeat after me:

Before it all went wrong, did we live in a culture enthralled with Pagan "ancient teachings"?

Yes - say it:

 "Just like during the Nazis.

Very good. Before it all went wrong, did we live in a culture enthralled with pseudo-science AKA "Nazi Science"?

Check - say it:

  "Just like during the Nazis.

Outstanding! Now, before it all went wrong, did we live in a culture whose leaders claimed the Jews brought the misery inflicted on themselves?

Know who your friends are - and then say it

  "Just like during the Nazis.

Excellent! Once again - before it all went wrong - did we live in a culture,...
