Feel The Love

Every now and then we get to read about the so called 'gurus' who have cheated their disciples. Reports of gurus turning out to be fake are common these days. Under the shade of their saffron robe goes on activities like smuggling, skin trade and other scandals."

This is a quote from One India, which makes it sound as though "spiritual" liars of the past were any different than the "spiritual" liars of today - they weren't - it's just that, with the internet and other means, there's more people watching what they do than ever before.

And they're fake - every one of them - as fake as the supposed "wisdom" they impart to their willing "followers". Which leads us to our opening "spirituality" lesson for today:

No one - absolutely no one - is better at fooling you than you are at fooling yourself.

That's Peggy Noonan, not mentioning what "age" - exactly - we're in. I could help with that (ask Oprah, Peggy!) but I was more fascinated by this quote:

See? I'm not the only one who sees stupidity, specifically, out there. But "unimaginative"? How can that be? Hillary Clinton was cult schooled by Jean Houston! Bill Clinton was cult schooled by Ken Wilber! Barack Obama was cult schooled by Oprah!

And Oprah was cult schooled by Eckhart Tolle, Rhonda Byrne, Marianne Willaimson, James Arthur Ray (seen above) and a whole host of other cultish charlatans! These folks are "enlightened"! What do you mean they're "unimaginative"? They've got someone telling them what to do all-the-time - before they even tell you what to do, or what they're going to do to you! That's the "age" we're in. The stupid age.

And it's all 100% new. To politics.

This blog and I seem to have become the black Howard Beale - without the audience, of course.

Without the audience because I may seem unhinged on occasion, or I hurt somebody's widdle feewings, but it's mostly because "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!" - not even from my betters - and y'all don't know what to do with someone who doesn't hide that he thinks most of you, whatever your credentials, are fools.

I met a guy a few days ago, worked in the psychiatric field, who was buying a new car because a psychic told him he'd meet an italian woman after he'd done so.

Don't laugh, because (as far as I'm concerned) he represented all of y'all.

Just caught up in a bit of the ol' "irrational exuberance" is all.

How's that song go?

Yep, that's your problem, in a nutshell.

Like Bart and Lisa arguing, Glenn Reynolds and Ann Althouse and Andrew Breitbart think they're doing something big with the Tea Party as they scream "Your a racist!" "No, you're a racist!" in the back seat of The Simpson's family car.

You're all racists.

Meanwhile ObamaCare passed right under their noses and all they do is act like it doesn't matter - they've got a movement.

Yea, like teenagers forming a band.

While these fools are out there fighting the enemy the old fashioned way - and losing - I see this:

Seems to me, picking off that one quackery-selling woman - who gave more to the enemy than everyone at Goldman Sachs, combined - should be pretty easy, but she (and the other NewAgers she's been involved with) are hands off for the Tea Party to go after.

What It Be Like? (Big Pimpin') Go On, Big Dawg!

"A teacher who bludgeoned a disruptive pupil with a dumbbell walked free yesterday when a 'common sense' jury acquitted him in minutes.

Peter Harvey was cleared of trying to kill a 14-year-old boy who told him to '**** off'.

His trial heard how he was targeted by teenagers who knew he had been 
off work with depression and stress. 

The 'fundamentally decent' man snapped when the science class set out to upset him, with a girl  -  described as the pupils' ringleader  -  using a camcorder to film the incident so she could distribute it round the school. 

Mr Harvey dragged the boy  -  a persistent troublemaker  -  into a cupboard and hit him about the head with a 3kg dumbbell shouting 'die, die, die'.

The attack fractured the teenager's skull.

But yesterday a jury swiftly acquitted him of attempted murder and causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Judge Michael Stokes QC told the court 'common sense had prevailed'."

Why So-Called "Smart" Whites Are Still Getting Annoyed With All Us So-Called "Stupid" Blacks

While Jon Stewart was winning kudos from all the so-called "smart" white people for this display, many black people were looking on in horror, feeling like the butt of the joke - again - and wondering, what's wrong with the so-called "smart" white people, that they can't ever defend themselves without, somehow, bringing blacks into it?

Maybe, just maybe, it's because they're reactionary suckers who allow (as one famous so-called "smart guy" admitted:) "the bogus charges of racism, etc." to "get my dander up"?

Here's my advice to such folks:

Since, like religion, race is an imaginary construct, just shut up about it and stop feeding the beast.

There: "dander" problem solved.
