I'll find a story of mass murder, one day, that doesn't include an American doing something like this - and that's when I'll know it might be over:
Wow. That's some "contradiction." And a real anomaly. Or is it? As I've pointed out before, if someone accepts the belief that "life is about suffering," then it's not much of a leap to cause some.
And nowadays, you have to admit, that whole "life is about suffering" schtick is really popular:
"If you're trying to decipher Loughner's worldview,...The best label would probably be 'New Age paranoia.'"
Oops, John Lennon - that was another guy to start killing everybody after dabbling in NewAge - here's the new guy:
"U.S. law enforcement officials are telling The Associated Press that the Navy contractor identified as the gunman in the mass shootings at the Washington Navy Yard had been suffering a host of serious mental issues, including paranoia and a sleep disorder. He also had been hearing voices in his head, the officials said."
Well - that could've also described my wife, too, asshole! Weird, because everyone defended those symptoms - as a feminist thinking "straight" - when she had them. Not that anyone cares about what happened to my wife and life:
Let's just make this thing blow over, as always, so we can get back to cheering what a overwhelmingly positive influence J. D. Salinger had on society,...
So that meditation and chanting really worked out well, didn't it.
ReplyDeleteBy "dappling" can we assume you mean "dabbling"?
