Without taking on how to fight cultism, Prof. Edzard Ernst always ends up at the same place as TMR:

Thirdly, how on earth can scientists possibly explain 'the science of genetics and how it develops, or the issue to do with climate change', if they lack the skill, courage, power or honesty to adequately respond to harmful quackery masquerading as medicine?"

Exactly - in a world where everyone is too,...whatever,...to distinguish between water and medicine, there can be little hope they can make an intelligent decision on anything else.
