Where We Are Now Culturally: A Lightweight In Control

This is kinda alright, until the close-ups, and the realization she's acting.

Badly.

This is not a bag because she's a woman - I was pulling for her.

But Bey-Z needs to up their game - and outlook - to Kanye levels:

That broke-jawed nigga thinks he rules, or should rule, the Pop world.

And American art, today, has had enough of pretenders,...

  2. Agreed, but come on - she's channelling Etta James - who got pissed off at the way Bey kind of assumed her career. All she had to do is meet Etta's passion - not a stretch for someone with skills.

Bey's a nice looking lady (Not my type, but I don't look at her like a lot of celebrities, who get called beautiful and I'm thinking WTF?) but I still hear more talk of "art" than evidence of it, that's all I'm saying.

I'd get a lot more for the same money - or less,...

  3. "All she had to do is meet Etta's passion - not a stretch for someone with skills." Never thought of it that way. Thanks.

Those songs of Etta's are all I've ever heard her do, and the one she did for Obama didn't move me like the ones in that otherwise not so hot movie. It was like she had already left Etta behind.
