Mindless NewAge Aphorism (Gets Someone In Trouble)

   "Lewis Hamilton stunned Formula One fans today when asked in an interview about Michael Schumacher's skiing accident and replying with the comment 'all things happen for a reason'."

And it's about fucking time:

 I'm happy to hear this, because "everything happens for a reason" is a particularly grotesque saying, damning those who fell on hard times through no fault of their own. 

Sure, a lot of the people who say it - like this idiot, Hamilton - aren't thinking too deeply when they do so, but that's the problem: 

 We have billions upon billions of these brain-deads, mouthing this crap to us, and there's literally no escaping it's implications:

Whatever happened to you was part of a plan, so no one has to do anything to help.
