It's The United States Government Doing This

The fact this government doesn't move against quacks until after they do something is enough for us to say they share the blame here:
He may be the creepiest quack in Brooklyn - a bogus cancer doctor charged with a crime so heinous it earned him the highest bail in state history.

Michail Sorodsky, 63, not only failed to heal the gravely ill women who forked over wads of cash for his holistic therapies, he sexually molested them and even raped at least one sedated patient, prosecutors say.

Jury selection in the skin-crawling case begins in Brooklyn Supreme Court this week while Sorodsky continues to be held on an eye-popping $11 million cash bail or $33 million bond a figure higher - more than even Bernie Madoff faced.

Authorities say Sorodsky slathered his victims in a probiotic yogurt, inserting the concoction into their genitalia, claiming they would be healed.

"He tells people he can cure them, and nobody gets better," said prosecutor Thomas Schellhammer, of the state's Attorney General's office. Sorodsky, who isn't licensed to practice medicine, is facing 102 counts ranging from rape to fraud.

All the charges stem from just eight victims, but prosecutors say he treated hundreds of people - mainly Russian immigrants in Brooklyn who paid as much as $1,000 per visit.

The late Malka Klots was a patient. When her daughter Rimma heard of Sorodsky's unorthodox treatment for liver cancer, she sensed something was fishy. So she posed as a patient and was horrified by what she found at Sorodsky's Sheepshead Bay office.

"What he was doing was, he was giving a gynecological exam, and he was giving a breast exam. It wasn't necessary. It didn't feel like a doctor's examination," the 46-year-old teacher recalled. "He did say inappropriate things. Something like, 'Your breasts look good.'"

She filed a complaint with the Division of Licensing, which led to an investigation that ended with Sorodsky's 2007 arrest.
It was too late for her mother, who died in 2001 after her cancer spread to her spine.

"She put everything into this treatment, all her hope," Rimma Klots said.

The defense is expected to argue that Sorodsky never presented himself as a doctor, but as a holistic healer - which requires no license - and that his patients returned voluntarily even after supposedly being abused.

Prosecutors claim otherwise, saying Sorodsky instructed clients to stay away from mainstream medicine.
Those last two paragraphs are really all anyone needs to know:

This is the same scam that war criminal, Radovan Karadzic, used to escape justice.

And it will keep happening until they close the loopholes - which could be done easily - and this NewAge medical charade stops.

Ladies and Gentlemen, if they wanted to, that could be done NOW.

Ask Him Why He Chose A NewAge Quack Disguise

"Radovan Karadzic is testifying at the resumption of his genocide trial in The Hague – one of the largest cases on the former Yugoslavia to be brought to the United Nations war crimes tribunal.

Karadzic is the most important figure to be brought to trial since the former Yugoslav president Slobodan Milosevic, who died of a heart attack in 2006 before his case was concluded.

As president of the breakaway Bosnian Serb state, Karadzic negotiated with diplomats, UN officials and peace envoys. He set the tone and pace of the 1992-95 Bosnian war, in which an estimated 100,000 people died.

First indicted in 1995, he eluded a Nato manhunt for more than a decade but was caught in Belgrade, where he had been living as a new age philosopher, in July 2008."

All That + A Bag Of Fries (A Master Of Disguise)

Well, well, well, look who's back,....

The "Big Pimpin'" Serbian mass murderer, NewAge "healer", and quack doctor, Radovan Karadzic. Remember when he looked like this?

What Are NewAgers Running From?

San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom's spiritual healer and "intuitive consultant" Simone, "long ago professionally dispensed with her first name, Carol."

Rielle Hunter, John Edwards's hard-partying NewAge mistress, is really named Lisa Druck.

Radovan Karadzic, in his NewAge guise, assumed the name of a dead man, Dragan David Dabic.

They're Even Nice About It

"Those who commit evil on a grand scale are the kinds of people who do not think it is wrong."

-- Phyllis Chesler, on the holistic healer, health guru, and mass murderer, Dr. Radovan Karadzic, for Pajamas Media

The Usual Suspects

"In his life as Dragan David Dabic, he began to seek a new audience for his musings on alternative medicine. He built on his training as a psychiatrist and embellished it with oriental-inspired theories of "the life force", "vital energies" and "personal auras". He told people his plaited top-knot drew in different energies from the environment.

As Dabic, he set up a website called Psy Help Energy which advertised the David Wellbeing Programme which offered help from "experienced experts from pioneering areas of science where there are immense possibilities for interaction with natural forces in and around us".

Among other services offered were acupuncture, homeopathy, "quantum medicine" and traditional cures. He also sold necklaces he called Velbing (wellbeing): lucky charms which he claimed offered health benefits and "personal protection" against "harmful radiation". The website provided no address, and the two numbers it listed were prepaid mobile numbers, now no longer functioning.

As Dabic he also began to pester Goran Kojic, the editor of Healthy Living magazine, asking to write and lecture on his work. He craved a public.

"Here was this strange looking man. He said he was freelancing for a number of private clinics and he wanted to publish," Kojic said. "He said: 'I have a diploma but I don't have it with me. My ex-wife has it in the United States'. I said I can't publish you as a psychiatrist without a diploma, but I will take you on as a "spiritual researcher".

So Dabic published his thoughts on holistic care in Healthy Living and began to appear at panel discussions on alternative medicine. Videos of these occasions show a soft-spoken pensioner sitting the way Karadzic the warlord used to sit with his feet pointing inwards and balancing on the outside edge of his soles.

In October he gave a lecture comparing the silent contemplation of Orthodox monks to oriental forms of meditation. Then as recently as May 23, Healthy Living's third annual festival in Belgrade advertised a presentation by David Dabic on "nurturing your inner energies."

-- Julian Borger, on Karadzic selling the same ol' NewAge bull, for The Guardian.

NewAge: The Perfect Crime

"Since finding out who he is, I have thought that there's something quite sinsister about these alternative practices. First of all, to practise this kind of thing, you don't need any kind of certificate. And it's a cash business, so you don't need to open a bank account. You don't need to show anyone your tax returns. No one knows how much you're earning - it's an ideal set-up for someone who is a fugitive. It makes you wonder if someone advised him to do this."

-- Nick Medic, who recently discovered his wife and daughters received "treatment" from the alternative therapist Radovan Karadzic, as reported in The Guardian.

NewAge: Healing Your Life (To Destroy Others)

"Here's a man accused of the worst crimes devised by human ingenuity -- and he calls himself a "healer"?

But this shouldn't surprise us. The perpetrators of atrocities have always favored metaphors of healing. Just as a physician might use purges to rid a patient's body of internal toxins, Stalin imagined that his purges would rid the Soviet body politic of dangerous internal corruption. Hitler saw the Jews as "a cancer on the breast of Germany" and was convinced that the extermination of the Jews was essential to restoring the health of the Aryan nation."

-- Rosa Brooks, making the same connection this blog has been making repeatedly - between NewAge and totalitarianism - in the Los Angeles Times

Come on, people: Radovan Karadzic (who no one would call a dummy) became a "healer" because quackery is, once again, occupying a grey area within the law and society - a grey area made possible by his fellow extreme narcissists; people who are tragically desperate for meaning in their lives - and a meaning they only receive through instructing, and controlling, others.

"Changing the paradigm," whether we know what's going on with these liars, kooks, and killers, or not.

NewAgers "demand" the rest of us change our views, and lifestyle, regarding their ideas about the environment.

NewAgers "demand" - against common sense - they be allowed to undermine our knowledge of science and physics.

NewAgers "demand" the government wastes it's time opening various files to confirm their conspiracy theories about 9/11, U.F.O.s, or what have you.

They're always demanding we believe whatever they say.

NewAgers have morbidly wheedled their way into end-of-life care, acting as know-nothing parasites to the field of medicine, while killing patients left and right.

NewAgers tell us, to our faces, they don't care about the facts (there are "other ways of knowing") truth (Oprah says you "make your own truth") and that death - for themselves and, more importantly, for their victims - is only a phase.

They regularly swell the number of "Self-Help" books, and NewAge seminars, because that's where they learn to gain control - over themselves and others - who suspect nothing because of the NewAge claim to "peace and love."

They regularly insist clearly established words and meanings are outdated because they're pejorative - and directed at them.

All it takes, today, for cults to dissuade serious investigation is for it's members to deny they're a cult. How easy is that?

They tell us we must keep an "open mind" as a way to dissolve distinctions and disable our faculties.

As that con man, Werner Ehrhard, used to say when he was caught in a deception, "That may be 'what's so' but it's also 'so what'."

And what better "teacher" could they get than Radovan Karadzic? A man who knew a thing or two about the currency of conspiracies, causing death, and gaining control?

His was a natural transition - from violent murderer to non-violent murderer - because, as NewAgers are always telling us, our common sense perceptions are too limited to understand the "quantum" forces that can turn a "murderer" into a "healer."

The craven, gullible, and confused alike, accepted him as an "expert" on these evil themes, working under a dead man's name, just as he suspected they would.

And why wouldn't he?

Given enough time, PBS would've starred him during pledge breaks.

Louis Hay - who has voiced views amazingly like Karadzic's - would've sold his books.

"Such a nice man," they all would've said. Indeed, did say, about a cold-blooded killer, liar, and fiend of the most despicable kind.

They bought his NewAge disguise because it wasn't one. It was who he was.

And, like NewAge itself, it's about time everyone recognized.

NewAge Doctor/Mass Murderer: Same Thing

Those who knew him as Dr Dabic told The Times that he was regarded as an expert in silence and meditation. One of his lectures was called “The relationship between calmness and meditation”. He also gave lectures on healthy living. During the most recent, visitors were offered free massages, yoga, t’ai chi and lessons in the Brazilian dance capoeira. His website advertises energy healing and beauty treatments and offers to cure conditions ranging from impotence and other “sexual disturbances” to diabetes, asthma, epilepsy and multiple sclerosis.

Using the name D. D. David, he promoted his David Wellbeing Programme, based on the use of “human quantum energy”. His website says that people are “programmed” to live to between 120 and 130, an age that could be reached by those who had his treatments. Those who visited his lectures told local media that they were “very good” and visited by up to 400 participants at a time.

Few in Belgrade believe that Dr Karadzic’s biblical beard and double life as an alternative medicine practitioner would fool one of the region’s most efficient secret services.
-- The Times with a bit more info on the NewAge bullshit the new "spiritual" Radovan Karadzic was selling - and which every idiot within earshot bought - just as idiots currently do throughout the Western World.

NewAge Is Evil's Disguise

Whoo-boy! Ladies and Gentlemen, it doesn't get any sweeter around TMR than this:
"PARIS — Radovan Karadzic, the former Bosnian Serb president and one of the world’s most wanted war criminals for more than a decade, disguised himself to live and work in Belgrade as [a] practitioner of alternative medicine,..."
What else was a criminal to do but hang with other criminals - and (of course) the idiots who serve and look up to them? He even had a website that sold the usual bunch of worthless NewAge trinkets for many of the usual problems - "everything ranging from impotence, through to asthma, multiple sclerosis and autism." Yes, he had to target the kids with autism. Their mothers are just soft enough in the head, regarding parenting a child who's different, to have become one of the woo world's ultimate soft touches.

"I met him in September at a lecture about spirituality. A friend introduced us and he seemed like a very nice man who knows about spirituality... with his long beard and long hair he doesn't resemble Karadzic at all. I would have never guessed. He wrote without a fee... as Dragan Dabic spiritual healer."
--Goran Kojic, the editor in chief of Belgrade's "Healthy Life" magazine, in Balkan Insight.

Ah, yes, the Devil talks pretty. Continuing with the NewAge theme, Carla del Ponte, the former chief investigator at The Hague, said she'd followed "leads he was dressed as a woman in a mountain village in Montenegro, or protected by monks in monasteries." I bet. And listen to Reuters, saying "Karadzic lived as long-haired, New Age doctor":

"As the soft-spoken Dr Dabic, Karadzic held lectures and wrote articles comparing popular meditation techniques with 'Orthodox Meditation' a silent technique practiced by monks in Orthodox monasteries.

He was also interested in healing through the optimal use of 'vital energy', a quasi-mystical, non-physical dimension of the body, similar to the Chinese notion of 'Qi' and the Indian concept of the 'chakra' centres of energy in the body.

'He was very religious,' said a woman who works at the magazine and knew him. 'He had his hair in a plait in order to be able to receive different energies. He was a very nice man.'

Karadzic appears to have lived comfortably within his new identity and to have moved freely. He liked being with people and getting attention.

An anti-cancer society in the northern town of Sombor still has on its website the announcement of an April lecture of Dr. Dragan Dabic on 'similarities between meditation and orthodox meditation'.

In another lecture programme, he described himself as a 'researcher in the fields of psychology and bio-energy'."
Sound familiar? It should because those are all topics this blog was designed to expose. Considering the NewAge idea of "duality" - that there's no such thing as right or wrong or, as Oprah says, you can "make your own truth" - it doesn't surprise me that, since NewAgers don't acknowledge any other breech of the professional and social contract - like Dr. Robert Wohlfahrt not knowing you don't sleep with other people's spouses or prescribe medicines without any active ingredients - who knows how many NewAgers wouldn't recognize "genocide, extermination, murder, deportation, inhumane acts, and other crimes," with a nice dollop of racism, as a "wrong" either?

Karadzic was naturally one of them. He even adopted Andrew Weil's "wise elf" look for cover. Check it out - here's Andrew Weil:

And here's Karadzic at his capture:

"THE editor in chief of Belgrade's Healthy Life magazine was shocked to discover the secret past of Dragan Dabic, one of his regular contributors," says The Australian in an article titled, "Dark past of hippie healer." (This should say something about how much trust you can put in the "experts" of these alternative and "healthy lifestyle" publications. They're obviously well-vetted, huh?)

I'm practically the only person on the planet who isn't shocked but sees this as par for the course. How many NewAge killers do we need before the message starts to get through? How many connections to kooks, killers, and criminals, must be made before someone realizes the purveyors of "alternative" medicine - and all the other con men peddling useless crap under the NewAge rainbow - are kooks, killers, and criminals?

Come on, people, wake up: I want some real justice,....
