Chuck

Charles is "shocked and saddened" that the very "alternative" medicines - he has been told for decades don't work - have finally been proven, on him, not to work
This is nothing less than the portrait of a king, as a fool.
Of course, I am neither shocked nor saddened, after he held himself out as an example - to my ex-wife - of why I was wrong, and she was right to believe in "alternative" medicines. He was a prince, and now a king - who was I?
She, as I've written many times before, took things even further, by actually sleeping with the homeopath who killed her mother, using the same "treatments" Charles is getting.

She and her stupid girlfriends glorified in her abuse - and leaving me in Hell over it all.
But - while I'm sure Queen Camilla is as big of a fool as my ex-wife is - I sincerely doubt the con artist who is killing her husband will find her nearly as enticing to sexually exploit.

A NewAge Threat That Traveled From My Dinner Table (Out To The Entire World)

"We're in the hospitals - we're getting legit - you'd better 'get it' before it's too late!" - Karine Anne Brunck, my ex-wife, as she ran away to be with a homeopath (2005)
"With [NewAgers], when you point out a problem with evidence, people don't engage with you about it, or read and reference your work. They get into a huff. They refuse to answer calls or email queries. They wave their hands and mutter sciencey words such as "quantum" and "nano". They accuse you of being a paid plant from some big pharma conspiracy. They threaten to sue you. They shout, "What about thalidomide, science boy?", they cry, they call you names, they hold lectures at their trade fairs about how you are a dangerous doctor, they contact and harass your employer, they try to dig up dirt from your personal life, or they actually threaten you with violence (this has all happened to me, and I'm compiling a great collection of stories for a nice documentary, so do keep it coming)." - Dr. Ben Goldacre (2007)

You Tell Me - What Is This? A Coincidence? A Conspiracy Theory? (The Truth?)

At the link, I've made a recording downloadable. It's from the early '90s, and it's a San Francisco "psychic" telling my ex-wife to use "the tools of the occult" in her quest for power over me (AKA attaining her own "male pole").
In 2007, I quoted my ex-wife's final threat, to use pseudoscience in a coming NewAge Nazi Holocaust, as she was exiting our marriage for the arms of a French homeopath: "We're In The Hospitals - We're Getting Legit - You'd Better 'Get It' Before It's Too Late!!!"
And now, here's Gary Lachman in 2018: "My own belief is we've marginalized this irrational, whatever-you-want-to-call-it, and kept it on the side, and now - instead of integrating it in a positive way, that's creative and can push us forward - it's come back. But it's come back in a way that many of us are not quite at home with. We don't feel comfortable with it. And in some way, the occult community I'm a part of,...we have wanted western, logical, scientific ideas about truth and rationality, and all of that, to be loosened. You know, we find them too strict. Too reductive, and too limiting, and so we wanted them to be loosened up a bit, just like the postmodernists, just like the chaos magicians, just like the New Thought people. And, OK, that has happened, but it's not happening quite the magical way many of us would've liked for it to happen,..."
So,...what are we to make of this? And of their "thinking"? "The occult community" expected to "loosen" us into the "irrational" (his word) but expected "logical, scientific ideas about truth and rationality" to come back "magical"? They let the occult loose, through warping science and medicine, and now it's gone wrong?
All I know is, as long as I've told people about The NewAge Movement, and said my wife had gone crazy (and I've been doing that since 1995) I can't find anyone in San Francisco, or beyond, who really agrees with me - and THAT'S becoming very scary, now.

What Are You Afraid Of? The Left Are DEFENDERS Of Science

"We're in the hospitals - we're getting legit - you'd better 'get it' before it's too late!!!"

"I was newly pregnant with twins. He said, 'Where are you giving birth?' He followed that up with 'I know all the doctors in all the hospitals, so it doesn't matter. If you don't tell me, I'll find out. If I don't like this piece, I'm going to have a witch doctor place a curse on your unborn children."

All Around The World (The Same Song)

I got triggered by this story of a Karen calling the cops on a black guy for asking her to leash her dog. It reminded me of my wife, after she'd been busted cheating, calling the cops on me and saying "There's a black man in my house," like I was an intruder after 20 years of marriage. That was her "strategy".

 They could've killed me.

My wife's name is Karine. She's French.

 Do cultural misspellings count?

ANTI-VAXXERS? What To Do? What To Do? (It's Not Like I Didn't Warn You)

You KNOW I love the question being asked in The Guardian UK now:

Here, let me sweeten the pot, with a question I've been asking, on this blog, for 15 years now: how do you solve a problem like being a black guy from South Central, Los Angeles, and your French wife starts defending every crack pot idea in the universe - starting in 1985 - and NO ONE WOULD TELL HER SHE’S FULL OF SHIT, FOR ALL THAT TIME, BUT YOU?

Here's the solution this "enlightened" world's come up with:

YOU'LL GET FORCED INTO GETTING A DIVORCE, INSTEAD OF GETTING HER HELP, THAT’S WHAT.

And then, you'll spend the rest of your life watching the whole world struggling, with her and all her NewAge friends, forever.

Everything I Dislike by The Crack Emcee

released a song over at CDBaby and it's kind of catchy. Check it out the lyrics:

[Chorus]

Everything I dislike about my ex-wife gets fixed by Donald Trump
Everything I don’t need about the elite gets nixed for faking funk
Everything I despise about all these lies Is now getting debunked
Everything I disagree about we gonna see about then we making punks

People nowadays want to be mad, Man
If you in the paper chase, you oughta be glad, Man
It’s a real rat race and can be sad, Man
but your ass got a taste and you were part of the plan
You can move to the front or the back of the line
You can choose to invest or you can choose to decline
You can choose to get smarter or lose your mind
You can try to see clear or you can try to go blind
Whatever you do is now up to you
They done legalized weed - you can think it through
You can make a big plan and get complex
Get on the internet and do a double-check
You can hire somebody to make you an app
“Marketing Department” and all that crap
Set yourself free, Man, don’t hold back
I’m The Crack Emcee and I’m living phat cuz

 [Chorus]

I ain’t no big fan of Oprah, Man
Don’t spend a lot of time on the sofa, Man
She don’t look like Steadman ever poked her, Man
Every good rapper always want to choke her, Man
She’s a leader in this movement they call NewAge
where white women go around burning sage
Indians hate them but they won’t stop
You see them in Whole Foods buying rocks
medicine with no ingredients
ethnic foods without ethnic seasoning
“Namaste” is their weird-ass greeting
Little creepy girls over from Sweden
Marianne Williamson ran for leader
Five minutes in and we knew we need her
to keep on talking for entertainment
I called my [divorce] lawyer and said I’m claimant cuz

[Chorus]

Hungry Hearts: My Killer Divorce Got It's Own Movie

Oh yes, it has. The Venice Film Festival is getting rocked by Hungry Hearts, a film that sounds kinda like the real life story of my marriage. It's about a New York City couple as they endure the immigrant wife's spiritual psychosis over food impurities, and her baby, resulting in it's death. The difference in the specifics of the circumstances (my wife killed three people, and is from France, not Italy) doesn't change how they met their demise:

The unrealistic fears of an outsider to the new world, fortunetellers contributing to it - and exploiting it behind the husband's back - further deception and, finally, NewAge death.

What a world. Is this film (further) evidence the phenomena of modern spiritual murder is  finally gaining attention and/or currency?

"It tastes like a true story,..."

Whoop - There It Is: Dr. Oz's Feeding Frenzy Has Begun

Health tip: Getting the bad guys can help with depression

I lost my marriage, partially, over assholes like Oz, so I'm enjoying this:

Where's Oprah in all this controversy? She brought him to us.

Shit, everybody honorable knew it but - in this country - if an Oz can corral the rubes, it's legal, and (just like France) there's nothing anyone can do about it, apparently, until the weaslely son of a bitch kills somebody (and it has to be somebody "important," like a celebrity) or gets dragged before Congress.

"America's Favorite Doctor" helped ruined my life

Looking back on it all - how this issue has affected the larger culture AND me personally - if you ask me, Oz is no worse than the stupid country that produced him, that applauded his rise, and ignored everyone who saw him for what he is. He's just another one.

My country rallied to stop blacks - but defended scam artists for years.

It's the fact that it's taken, like, eight years for that truth to reveal itself, that's the most tragic aspect (when I consider my own future) that I can know or imagine.

I'll never see people the same again

Put simply, we've matured into fools,…

Think Of TMR As An Unintentional Oversight Committee

Did I ever mention The most thorough and independent assessment of homeopathy ever conducted? If not, I should have. Sorry. Here's the results, as phrased by Prof. Edzard Ernst (because I liked his phrasing better) and as if you needed to hear it:
"Not for a single health condition was there reliable evidence that homeopathy was effective."

One of these days, when homeopathy's dead bodies are lined up end-to-end, some of you are going to be just as conflicted - about being Whole Foods shoppers - as I am about having been married.

It won't be quite that bad, though, I hope,...
