Nigga, Is You Crazy?

Not all blacks are open to religious instruction. But, they persist - and we still ain't buying.
In a new MSNBC article titled, Sharpton schools rappers who have been ‘seduced by Trump’, Rev. Al (who's looking like a Funeral Director these days) offers rappers these bars - which, sadly, do not even attempt to rhyme - in an effort to increase our meager civil rights education:

"Let’s go to the 1990s, when five Black and brown young men were falsely accused of raping a white woman in Central Park. It was Donald Trump that took out ads in the papers in New York saying they should get the death penalty. So if they want to cite how Blacks have been abused by the criminal justice system, cite the case where we marched and eventually it was proven these five young men — that Donald Trump called on to get the death penalty — was in fact innocent.

OK, so Al's asking us to remember all of that - which means also going back in time to his unfortunate "James Brown" period - as we're considering what he's telling us now, in his more recent, more slick MSNBC-friendly guise. Fine. Whatever. None of this is pleasant for anyone involved, but I try to do as I'm asked, for my people: I do miss that medallion, tho.

As a black man, known A) to rap now and then B) to clearly remember these events, and C) to have also been seduced by The Dark Side, I took Al's call personally, and as seriously as I could.

Which wasn't much. The Central Park Five is an old story, I've heard too many times before, and always from dubious "spiritual" types. People who make a big deal of their religious background, but who are always proven not to be tied too-tightly to reality, or morality, as I understand them. The Uber-Catholic Joe Biden is a perfect example of who'd bring it up. And a perfect example of no one correcting him, or maybe knowing how to correct him, even when he's 100% wrong. The media wasn't clamoring to do it, then or now. It's crazy-making.

Exhibit "B": When They See Us, the Netflix movie executive produced by Obama's 2013 Medal of Freedom winner, Oprah Winfrey, the queen of NewAge, AKA being totally "out there," so not above telling a racist fib or two or three on film.

The woman who promoted a guy who killed three people, before she "moved on."

"Moved on" to her Best Life, which included telling this lie, which was a doozy.

Because - unlike in another Netflix movie (Oprah didn't produce) where she's promoting a rapist,...

When They See Us has her promoting five convicted sex criminals, and - because of her - people have totally bought it. I mean, one of these guys has now entered politics. Evidence be damned. How do you like them apples?
Evidence? Go back to the phrase "falsely accused": Before the cops even knew the nature of crime they were dealing with, one of the boys, Raymond Santana (purple scarf, above) said, "I had nothing to do with the rape. All I did was feel the woman's (breasts)." And, as Ann Coulter noted, "All five boys confessed - four on videotape with adult relatives present and one with a parent present, but not on videotape." So no one "accused" anyone of anything: they gave themselves away. That's inescapable reality, not a movie. So why are the CP5 free?

Because of Matias Reyes, the serial rapist who should be known as the Central Park Sixth. He was one of the lead actors in the attack, but not part of the CP5's group of friends. In prison, the CP5 forced him to take the blame for everything that happened that night, a bullshit confession that wasn't hard for authorities to accept since A) Reyes was the only one who left clear DNA evidence, and B) it would make people like Al Sharpton tone it down about America being racist. Hell, New York even threw in some walking around money. Problem solved.

So now it's Trump is a racist - which is toning it down by severely limiting the parameters - but brings us back to another now-long-standing lie blacks still ain't buying, because we deal in an identifiable reality, and morality. Some of us, anyway. The blacks with long memories. Who, nowadays, ain't always most rappers.

But anyone old enough to probably not seek advice from an MSNBC Al.

Forget That Quack, "Dr. Oz," The Conservatives Have Their Own: "America Needs A Doctor And I Am Him"

TMR always knew conservative's hatred of Al Sharpton would get them in trouble, but not that the *perfect spokesman* for their ahistorical idiocy would step forward - from the slave state of Texas - to prove how brutally disgusting they truly are.

America, he looks just like you.

And I am grateful,...

The Reason Al Sharpton Is More Popular Than The GOP

Here's always there - while whites are always not

He gives blacks the support we need - when whites won't - which is usually when whites make problems for blacks,...

Blacks Taking Over's No Problem If You Don't See Race

Take away American history - where a black president, black senators, black captains of business, black companies, black entertainment channels, the NAACP, and Al Sharpton, have all been fighting against a white majority that didn't expect, or want, us to have any of them - take all that away, and The Five’s Eric Bolling makes sense:

Of course, if you, rightly, add history to the mix - because it should never be taken out, if you want to have an honest discussion of American race issues - then The Five’s Eric Bolling sounds like any old crazy racist cracker, sick of blacks resisting him.

Ignoring American history - and white's role in it:

It's a common Tea Party tactic,…

TMR's Year In Review: The "Race" To The Bottom Began

I could belabor the point, as I have for the last few months, but shamefully to me - especially as a black Republican - 2013 was the year the Right lost on the subject of race. Barack Obama may have been the target, but a dehumanized Trayvon Martin caught the bullet, and the Tea Party's whooping and hollering was enough to make almost any black person (or person of conscience) recoil in disgust.

That was it - the Tea Party was done. Unwilling to silence our worst actors, there wasn't a single thing the Right could say to advance our arguments on any subject, much less race. And you want to know what the further tragedy was?

The Right started the year with the upper hand.

The media had blown their Trayvon/Zimmerman reporting, in such an obvious way, it would've been easy to swing blacks around for the Left's crime of wildly exploiting the case - all it took was a little compassion.

But no. The Right, being insecure about any effect the Left's media manipulations have, decided not to speak truth to power - but to go after the low-hanging fruit of an, obviously grieving, black community. Blacks weren't being media savvy enough. And one group's wrong was just as politically opportune as anybody else's (AKA the liberal media's) right?

Conservatives couldn't have been more wrong - I'm talking Westboro Baptist Church wrong - and the Right either (take your pick) couldn't see it, couldn't admit it, or - the worst of the worst during, what was obviously, a mourning period for blacks - just didn't give a damn. I've told you:

Appearances are just one of the problems with groupthink.

It appears the Right has been in full-on "Race Hustler" mode for too long. By attacking Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton in this way, they'd gotten so used to it, they thought it would work in any situation - even the unnecessary death of a teenager.

That led to such unfortunate comparisons as The Black Panthers - who fought racists - being compared as equal in evil as the Ku Klux Klan, who perpetuated it. It simply won't wash historically, but then, whites also denying the context of our lives became a HUGE problem.

One that, luckily enough, the movie 12 Years a Slave seems to have remedied somewhat.

Yes, attacking the media, exclusively, would've won the day - and probably turned many of the issues requiring a vote or consensus to conservative's advantage. Impossible once the racial tit-for-tat started:

But then, here, I should only speak for myself,…

Study Hard (Because It May Be The One Thing You Do)

The Onion has a piece called How Can I Use Feminism To My Advantage? that reads like it's from a young Ann Althouse:
I wanted to cash in on the centuries-long subjugation of my gender, too!
Many modern women are afraid to call themselves feminists. I often remind these weak, confused women of the words of Gloria Steinem: "In my heart, I think a woman has two choices: Either she's a feminist or a masochist." When I first read Steinem, she awoke ambitions I never knew I had. I wanted to be just like her—powerful, famous, and financially well off.
Since my awakening, I've memorized quotations from feminists of all stripes, from Betty Friedan to Susan Faludi. Decades of activists have left persuasive arguments in support of my campus group's private study lounge in the student union. Hey, whatever works. Take that, International Students Club! Have fun studying in the library, with all the other losers who don't have a dedicated study lounge.
Not all feminists have this attitude, and I'm relieved. If they did, feminism wouldn't work half as well as it does. Most of the women in the network are fully committed to eradicating harmful gender stereotypes and redefining sexual archetypes. I am, too, whenever it places me in a favorable social position.

Yep, that's our girl - exploitive to the end. Here's her Wikipedia page. See if you can grasp her larger significance, because I can't. No lives saved. No ground broken (except for herself, as The Onion jokes). No true challenges to anything - not even "the patriarchy". No reason to ever think she's anything other than superficially "smart" and unworthy of admiration. Not a single contribution, or concern, for the country or mankind.

Here's, ultimately, what I found:
Althouse has a degree in fine art from the University of Michigan, B.F.A. 1973, and graduated first in her class from New York University School of Law, J.D. 1981.

Translation:

The woman with some of the worst taste in art imaginable can still memorize like a motherfucker (landing her smack dab in the "artists who can't - teach" category).

Other than her nephew being a famous golfer, there's not much else. First in her class, and she's famous for riding the feminist-with-a-mouth train, and nothing more.

Her "career" is being Al Sharpton in a dress.

Seriously, there's nothing else there. She's just another insane middle class cipher (look at that photo) taking up valuable space, the amazing memory failing her when updating her biography.

Wikipedia does mention her famous never-again-mentioned statement on the Obama cult - that he used "trickery" to get the dummy's vote - but, for instance, there's not a single word about her repeated public breakdowns (whether on Wikipedia or her blog) which I find all-around-dishonest. Her one-sided and ignorant broadsides against the Catholic church, in defense of her gay son, don't get mentioned either (She supposedly "teaches" on religion and the Constitution, which must be fun to hear,...). And her goofy racial obsessions - she once saw racism in an innocent smiling statue - get nothing.

That should tell you how Ann, and biographies on Wikipedia, "work". Just leave out the shit everybody needs to know and viola! You've got Ann Althouse: Rule Breaker, or something else immature she can imagine herself, drunkenly, from a cafe'. (There's no "wine box" mentions on Wikipedia either - a total whitewash.)

Are you starting to get the picture of how Ann's "succeeded"?

No mention the crazy lady is crazy. The crazy lady keeps her trap quiet, too - while calling men out because, she thinks, no one will ever discover she's nuts. And she's riding that shit to the bank, laughing with her "feminist husband" (she's got two) on getting one over on the unsuspecting public.

In other words, in a decent world - or if she was a man - she'd be a user, a loser, and a pig.

She's definitely been a bad example to her push-over of a kid - and decent bloggers everywhere,...
