GOP: You Can't Out-Race The Party Of The KKK

There's an article about black Republican National Committee members not supporting Michael Steele that includes the most telling line about his leadership:

Steele, a former Maryland lieutenant governor, Senate candidate and state party chairman, was touted as Republicans' response to the first black president, Democrat Barack Obama.

This use of the race card by a "post-racial" Right has been glaring from the start - Democrats have got a black leader so (rather than finding someone truly effective) we've got to have a black leader - and has been part-and-parcel of Steele's weakness:

When Steele announced his bid for re-election on a conference call, he concluded by saying, "Who you elect as our next chairman will speak volumes about our willingness to truly be the party of Lincoln," according to the Washington Times. A prominent member of the RNC, James Bopp Jr., complained to the Times that Steele had used "the race card." Steele responded by calling Bopp "an idiot" and accusing him of bitterness over a consulting contract the RNC canceled.

Sure. And so the race game goes on. If these are the rules the Right wants to play by, then this quote - by Ada Fisher, the black RNC committeewoman from North Carolina - is even more damning to "the party of Lincoln":

"Nobody asked the black members of the RNC what they felt, and I don't know that the other people were courted or asked for their votes."

That's the way it looks from here, too, on the Left and the Right:

If whites want to show they're non-racial, then they throw up a black man who puts his race first (Barack Obama, Michael Steele, Zo/Macho Sauce) but - if they've got blacks who are truly striving to be non-racial - then they'll take that as a signal to ignore them because, we guess, those blacks have to also learn (for the billionth time) that life just ain't fair.

(And, of course, whites asking - and listening to - those blacks about how to get to our "post-racial" ideal is out of the question. They know what they're doing,...) *Sigh*

There's apparently no way for most whites (grappling with a post-racial ideal) to understand how real inclusion works and/or to establish a level playing field. They're still too caught up in race to escape it.

Which is all extremely depressing.

I remember, a few months back, I said this is now the era of the black conservative - and I specifically said it won't have anything to do with the foolishness of Michael Steele (above) who, all this time later, still seems to think the Republican Party is his own personal Def Comedy Jam - and now, here comes Lt. Col. Allen West, talking that good talk and running for Congress out of the great state of Florida:



Now that's the kind of talk that gets my attention,...how about you?

Another Sign Of The Times (My Time)

This photo is catching on, both, because it's funny and emblematic of the conservative feeling out there - The Macho Response.

Yea, I knew this was going to happen, and - without a true leader to step up and channel this force into something more politically constructive - it's got the potential to get ugly. But I don't see such a leader out there.

Michael Steele sure ain't it. And even our conservative commentators and media people - except for Rush, Beck, and Bill Whittle - are pretty sorry. Most are so wrapped up in being gatekeepers (you've got to be a certain kind of conservative figure now - acceptable to Malkin, Reynolds, etc. - though, for inspiration, they're now at least posting photos, like the one above, of people who look, think, and talk like me) more than they'll allow any of this the kind of free expression it deserves.

I mean, where's "professor" Glenn Reynold's expose' on what's behind the artwork at Rockefeller Center, like Glenn Beck gave us? Where's Michelle Malkin's breakdown on the infiltration of NewAge into Democratic Politics like I do? They won't go there, and yet they're two of the most read and celebrated commentators out there, turning up their noses at anyone - except for Beck - who has the temerity to say "You guys are waaay too focused on the wrong things."

I was reading Stacy McCain's blog this weekend - the post where he's preparing for battle with Little Green Footballs' increasingly insane Chuck Johnson - and he's going on about how he likes certain conservatives "because they fight" but, while I found it thrilling, it couldn't help but remind me that, despite being on the same side, me and Panda Bear are out here, pretty much, fighting alone.

Too rowdy, online, to be acceptable offline to these people, who we have to practically hide our thoughts and identities to maneuver freely around - if you can call it that.

This situation screams for us - an angry citizen's revolt against a black president's healthcare plan? - but we're the last people these yuppies-in-charge will call. Like Roger L. Simon with that stupid hat, they'll keep on taking the stage themselves, acting like they can fulfill the calling, until something happens to make it clear their avoidance of what liberals always call "the real issues" hasn't given them any understanding of what real people need, or where to go from here.

They're all out of touch - "no one is representing their interests" - but, unfortunately, I'm not "connected" and I can't type.

So that's all I'm saying.

-- Dan Riehl, who, like a lot of conservative commentators and bloggers - on the Left and Right - seems to only listen to the "appropriate" voices, while giving us the Riehl World View.

You know what? Fuck these so-called conservatives. You heard us. They do all this bitching about how nobody's reading newspapers or engaged - especially black people - but guess what? The one behind TMR is considering not even reading you jack-assed conservative bloggers either because they're just as blinkered and blinded as the ink stained idiots of the Democratic Party are. It's insulting to read their crap when we've already covered most of it, and in better detail. It's not their business model, assholes, it's those boring-assed dipshits who refuse to help anyone else, or think about anything else, or who basically won't offer any real assistance to get themselves out of the way. One day they're wondering if it'll take someone from outside of what's become the conservative mainstream to save us (Joe The Plumber being an obvious choice for Pajamas Media's exploitation) and the next day they're back at work, wanting us to admire them as they lick their own balls.

What? Did they just notice Obama was out to get us? Awww, how perceptive. It's not like this blog didn't already tell them that eons ago. But why wasn't it news when TMR said it? Why didn't it get an Instapundit link? I'll tell you why: because TMR doesn't think like the rest of these lamers. We're not geeks like Glen Reynolds. We don't get a thrill up our leg from Michael fucking Steele. (That lamer's going to save the party? With what? Water pistols and pinatas? Puh-leaze. Jay-Z's farts do better in the smell test.) TMR looks at other criteria than merely the usual political give-and-take that passes for interpreting information these days. That (plus a liberal use of swearing) puts TMR beyond the pale - like Limbaugh used to be - though Limbaugh usually apes many of the subjects TMR covers and TMR is usually way ahead of other commentators because TMR is looking at other important data.

Take TMR's focus on NewAge. These other fools will write about the Pope, they will write about Evangelicals, Mitt Romney, and every other major religious leader and movement out there, but when it comes to NewAgers, they've got nothin'. Other writers have said so - also without mentioning NewAge - but they have admitted it. Conservatives laugh with Oprah - not at her. So while writer after writer will claim there's a cult around Obama, they can't honestly tell you where it's come from, how it's formed, who's in it - nothing. They help it along. They help all the cults along. They're worthless. Many writers have admitted everything TMR writes about cults, in a piecemeal fashion, but they all miss the big picture - and they isolate anyone who says otherwise. The idea that cultism is where Republicans should be pushing - because that's how Democrats have been organizing - is beyond them. Other countries may get it, but not those folks in America and on the Right. Hilariously, they actually believe what the Left says. I mean, really believe them. As Limbaugh says, you don't win elections that way.

And the rest of their political analysis is just as shoddy. Because of their interests, most of the popular Right-wing commentators are the worst kind of spectators, and when I say most, I mean 99%. They're not capable of doing what Rush Limbaugh does because they haven't got the insight - or, more importantly, the balls. But you'll notice, though not to the extent of TMR, Rush Limbaugh speaks of cultism. Rush Limbaugh speaks of NewAge. Rush Limbaugh understands what's occurring in the boardrooms and behind them. And so does TMR. It's the rest of these assholes, who won't speak of it and won't allow other voices to do so, that stand in the way of Republican success. So it becomes stupid for TMR to read the rest of these jokers - or for you to read anything other than TMR. Oh look: Dan Riehl is linked by Glen Reynolds to tell us Obama has a plan to get us? Wow, thanks, Glen. Now let TMR tell our fellow Republicans something - from its black part of town:

Welcome to the real world - who the fuck needs you? Tell us how The Cult of Obama got started, since it's the religion of the Left, and become truly worth something to us. Black people hate the occult - and from what we hear, getting them and Hispanics to vote with us is really important these days. SO EXPOSING THE NEWAGE IS CALLED NEWS, ASSHOLES!!! TMR still can't tell which is worse: being around dumb-as-a-rock NewAge cultists, or being surrounded by "intelligent" idiots and "really smart" conservative fools. But it sure looks like, one way or another, we're gonna find out.

Steele confirmed his decision,...on Hannity & Colmes last night. He said the past election was the culmination of Republican self-doubt."

Michael Steele's a nice guy but come ON. It's time for the party to look outside the usual ranks (their other choice was - surprise! - Newt Gingrich). It's time for the GOP to look to us bloggers, and other "Joe The Plumber" types with a fire under them, because the game's been changed by cultism and it's going to take a new spirit of conservatism that understands this landscape - not just conservatives, or conservatives-in-blackface - to turn this sucker around.

Look, I've done this: I've got black people to think in a new way about conservative principles, and even got them to want to run me for office (which I want no part of) and if the Republican Party is gonna get it's mojo back, then TMR thinks it needs to find more new passionate people to plot it's course and deliver it's message.

And, sorry kids, but "nice guy" Michael Steele ain't it.
