America's Still Trapped In Suspended Animation (As The GOP Runs America)

 

 This is obviously a strange time to be alive. It's even stranger if you started a blog in 2005, called The Macho Response, that predicted the cultural shift we're now experiencing, including - and probably especially - the defeat of the Democratic party. In hindsight, it wasn't that hard to see coming, because TMR was analyzing the deeper reasons America's been failing, not just moaning how bad it is to be where we are. And those underlying forces - like a love for NewAge cultism - still aren't being anywhere near fully addressed. If they were, we wouldn't have the husband to a "reiki master" and homeopath in charge of Medicare. 

Oh well. At least cartoons, today, better reflect our cartoon lives.

  

While the "6-7" meme is cute (and definitely not some "Satanic Numerology bullshit") it's also illustrative, in the wake of "Rapture" claims and the shooting of Christian grifter Charlie Kirk, because it reflects how easy it still is - even in 2025 - for seemingly-educated and intelligent people to get swept away by low-calorie ideas. South Park's contrast (of kids enamored by "6-7," with something equally powerful but invalid that adults are into, like Peter Thiel and the Christian concept of an Anti-Christ) nails how dangerous this cavalier treatment of beliefs is: as school authorities are coming down on innocent kids over nothing, for religious reasons, the powerful also decide they also see threats to us all. 

The difference is, the kids know the idea they're playing with is nothing, while, by the time they become adults, they're treating all of it like it's very real. And - except for kids having fun for a while - no good is coming from any of it. As everyone takes action.

    

Today, contradictions, of all kinds, are starting to pile on top of one another. When Democrats were in power America saw encroaching fascism. Now, the GOP was complaining that people are shooting at them, before the Young Republicans were caught admitting they're Nazis who love them some Hitler. And this led to JD Vance - who, at the start of the administration, made it known he'd punish anyone being so antisemitic as to criticize Israel's genocide - now claiming these ultimate of antisemites on the right are just kids (in their 20s and 30s) having fun. 

You know, like 8-year olds, on South Park.

So, we've got protestors outside the White House, staffers quitting in droves, no hostages released, and the trial at the ICJ was blocked, both in the US, here, and in the UK, lest anyone get the idea there might be a genocide occurring. Oh, and today, there was another terrorist attack in Israel, and the war is spreading. A Recap of Goals, after 100 days: 

1. No hostages are released. 2. Hamas is not only not defeated, but even more supported than ever. 3. The Palestinians aren't going anywhere. 

And, if in two weeks the International Court of Justice rules as most expect it will - even with the US in control of it - America, too, will be labeled as a terrorist state, alongside the Nazi-like Zionists in the west's aircraft of white supremacy.

Needless to say, this has been TMR's experience with the "online Science community" almost from the start: with few exceptions (PandaBear MD being the most notable) all of the Doctors online block serious challengers to their worldview. It's intellectual cowardice at it's best - and not just that they do it, but the way they apply it: it's not for being wrong, but for merely OPPOSING them. They're too used to people sucking their dicks. Meanwhile, SCAM, scammers, Oprah and cults get bigger and stronger on their watch - as the rest of us are consigned to watching it happen - because we can never get their support.

Like Democrats protecting Bill Clinton from rape charges, Ann Althouse, Glenn Reynolds, and the rest of their blogging crew can be 100% wrong - and they often are - but no one can reach them.

They, on the other hand, can - and do - cause harm to others: most of them have thousands, or even hundreds of thousands of followers - who act on their command like they're Oprah - to buy things, read things, assume certain political positions. Some have newspaper columns, or appear on TV, or are quoted by others. After years with them, online, I feel I can say with authority that any black person, outside of their orbit, has reason to be skeptical, or even fear them and what they're trying to accomplish, because it's not revealing any truth for us, or bettering our lives.

They're mostly racial gatekeepers, and there's no way to deal with them. They enjoy debating the most stupid racial arguments, ignoring anyone thoughtful who opposes them. The only blacks they give voice to are representing a sliver of us, and are usually considered Toms by the others. They shut down dialogues when THEY see fit - which is usually after admitting they're not winning the argument - NOT a good situation for a public professor, out to make a little cash from Google and Amazon sales, to be in. They can make sure debates don't happen, or determine the parameters of those that do. They'll read an issue wrong, then make that the issue they're debating. If they want to tune anyone out, deny their arguments a hearing, pretend a real answer isn't out there (after they declared a situation hopeless) so be it: they'll be unfair liars. No skin off their teeth. Their sales - and the ease with which they make them - continue. That's what's important. I have seen, experienced, and been told this, by them.

They are the political right's blogosphere, demanding blacks join them or - like Joe Biden said - we're not very bright, or not really black.

If I want to be entertained, reading Instapundit (or the racist commenters at Althouse) is a good way to watch BLM cause white people to lose their minds. (Remember when whites said blacks aren't human - for CENTURIES - and we had to live with that? It upsets them, that anyone would say that, now, about themselves - after centuries of them doing that to us. The idea, that they should have have to live with what they inflict on others - without compensation - is horrifying,...to them. They don't think it should've been, to anyone who had to live through it, on the receiving end of their attacks - because fairness).

Instapundit STUPIDLY says Obamacare was the turning point for the American left - not when Bill and Hillary were inviting "psychics" and "gurus" to the White House (to talk to dead people, which Kamala Harris also believes can be done) creating a whole new level of power in American politcs - to help them. These so-called conservatives (clearly) think that was *perfectly normal behavior* (rolls eyes). Andrew Breitbart told them - politics is DOWNSTREAM FROM CULTURE - but they don't even listen to HIM. That's how dumb THEY are. Marianne Williamson for PRESIDENT? HELLO!!

 Now Ann Althouse is working with the fuckers - becoming a censor herself. I just posted the opinion Joe Biden ain't gonna make it - he'll be assassinated (a fair prediction under the circumstances - unless you don't take what the Democrats have done seriously) - and then, my comment disappeared. Here's a new opinion: 

 Free speech is done here - and so is America. 

 The left HAS taken us to war.

 

Why Are We Here?

    When blogging works, it matters - like the music Jazz and Country legends used to make - so blogs should always be written with purpose. But, of course, to make that worthwhile, blogging also requires readers with purpose. I get few comments here, so I rarely know if I've got that. PayPal helps, though.

This ain't Entertainment City, Bitch - it's The Macho Response - so (taking Gwyneth Paltrow's admonition, in the header above, as a guide) you should arrive here asking the main, if only, question: "What are we 'Responding' to TODAY?" 

Politics is huge. If you've traveled a lot, you know people get it wrong, all around the planet. They critique what they can't grasp, in a partisan environment, filled with activists, keeping the truth from them or filling them full of bullshit. TMR relies on facts, cross-referenced for accuracy, and forget what the assholes say. They're liars. All of them. To this day, can the average person say why the U.S. invaded Iraq? Or why it all went wrong? (During the 1st invasion, Colin Powell got George "Poppy" Bush to break our promise to rid the Iraqis of Saddam - this necessitated a 2nd invasion. By the time George W. Bush did it, Saddam had fucked people up so bad, they did NOT appreciate seeing us - even if Iraq did have WMD and were harboring terrorists - which they did and were). "The problem with Michael Jackson"? Trump getting robbed? You're only gonna "get" it here.

Religion is another biggie. If you're old enough to have witnessed the Moon Landing - but still believe in "the man in the sky" (and his kid) after that event reduced him to "a higher power" from now on - then you need to leave. Now. This is probably not the place for you. That's all that's needed to be said. 

 

NewAge "Spirituality" is the ultimate evil today - it is to religion what bullshit is to lying. It's the next step on the ladder to lunacy. And, thanks to Oprah, we - as a culture - have already blindly taken it. To our everlasting regret. Not only will nothing ever be normal again, but now - thanks to the Queen of daytime TV in the '90s - we have to worry if it'll even be livable as well. She's turned the entiure world culture off to science, medicine, realitionships and reality, so - can she do any more damage to us? Of course she can - she's as corrosive as the Nazis - which brings me to,... 

Race - a sore spot, complicated even more, now that Oprah Winfrey's trying to legitimize rapists as black heroes, after we already did that once, with Martin Luther King, Jr.. America's a nation that raised it's citizens to think as King did - everyone's the same - even though blacks and Indians are treated different. Now, long after King's murder, blacks and Indians insist we're different, and it's conservatives demanding everyone stick to thinking we're all the same - even though nobody treats us that way. Mindfucking black and Indian U.S. citizens, for our whole lives, requires reparations. Nothing more. Apology included. 

The rest of TMR is all science, music, art, and culture - the stuff of life - and fuck just about anything else. I just don't have the time.

So, I’m back to posting here because facebook says I did something (I didn’t do) and, today, they "informed" me they don’t have enough staff, post-pandemic, to check and see if they’re correct in their punishment (they’re not) so I’m getting screwed, when it comes to reaching other people, until after the election.
