Nobody Knows The Trouble I've Seen (About How Little The World Still Knows)

"You get your news from Chris Cuomo on CNN when he's married to a woman selling quackery out the back door."

- The Crack Emcee, NewAge Poop

"My wife is a wellness person, you know. She runs this business where she's learning about homeopathic and all these different things, so she's given me a ton of stuff. I don't even ask what it is."

- Chris Cuomo, Democrat party royalty, supposed-journalist, and science critic

Take a moment to understand what Chris Cuomo can say, on American television, while talking to a Doctor and another journalist - and recieve no pushback. He's admitting he and his wife have a deep proclivity, not just for quackery, but for the Daddy of them all. Two people who are, both, living in a world of madness (being parodied above) while CNN helped them drag society further into it with them.

I love the vague formulation, "She runs this business where she's learning about homeopathic," which is accepted - again: with no pushback - as though it's perfectly normal for a journalist's wife to be educating herself after she starts charging people for what she's selling (Chris Cuomo's wife is a grifter).

And what is she selling? "Homeopathic and all these different things". When a journalist should know homeopathy is water. "I don't even ask what it is" he says, instead, revealing his worth as a journalist. (His niece, Andrew Cuomo's daughter, also runs a NewAge podcast).

Dr. Oz's wife, Lisa, is also a "reiki master" and homeopath, so one can only assume he's a physician who also doesn't question what the missus is up to.

RFK, Jr. was supposedly "vetted" by Congress, without a single question tying him to other quacks, or quackery.

Which brings us, once again, to the question: if "The Age Of Unreason" was declared by Frank Furedi in the same year Richard Dawkins exposed who "The Enemies of Reason" were (by that time, and specifically mentioning people into homeopathy) then, by now - 20 years after we haven't done a single thing to address a single issue raised back in 2005 - is it fair to say reason's enemies have won, and the west has legitimately gone insane? I mean, how could we ever stop something so few see (or ever saw) as a threat?

Take all the time you need,...

Morality, Squared

"I can't stomach Trump. I think that he's noxious and is leading the white working class to a very dark place."

Pete Hegseth grew up in the Midwest, the most American part of America. He was the All-American Boy. The Varsity athlete who married his High School Sweetheart. His Best Girl. Who would then go on to be his second Best Girl. And then his third Best Girl. A family man through and through, he went through several families,...

American Media Shows 'The Information Age' Only Knows What The Stupid Think

Arthur Jensen, to Howard Beale, Network (1976):

"There is no America. There is no democracy. There is only IBM and ITT and AT&T and DuPont, Dow, Union Carbide, and Exxon. Those are the nations of the world today."

The Crack Emcee, Just Payin' The Rent: Amoeba Music Compilation, Vol. II (2000):

"I don't wanna be no slave to no Dotcom!"

“I call them Dotzies. They’re blowing the smoke of the new economy up your ass."

Tristan Harris on The Daily Show (2025):

"How did we get social media so wrong, because we were so optimistic?"

More Proof That Punxsutawney Phil Just Saw His Shadow

Jon Stewart's Daily Show return felt great. All warm and fuzzy; very comfortable and familiar. It was so good, it felt necessary. Like the country needed it. Like the country needed him. Yes, nine months before an election, for a few minutes, the country seemed to need Jon Stewart more than either of the current candidates for president. Jon Stewart for president, maybe?

But then, of course, the show tried to turn serious, and that re-started something else, that's all too very comfortable and familiar: screaming at the TV. Wondering what an idiot he can be, sometimes. AND wondering if he swallows the bullshit he preaches, or is this comedian, on Comedy Central, only really about the comedy, and putting on a show, for mere entertainment, in the end?

Which should snap anyone out of it: yes, the joke is all there is - remember? Jon Stewart may be back, but The Daily Show is still a hack, so - no matter what else his return may mean in the end - ultimately, it all comes down to this: the next nine months in the United States just got a whole lot longer. Because, now - along with everything else - there'll be somebody else, who's unavoidable, goosin' us in the ribs, as our lives crumble around us. And he's a professional gooser.

Oh joy.

Who could ask for anything more?

Conservatives Love The Black-On-Black Talking Point Of Comparing Police's Conduct To That Of Gangsters

They seem to think the black-on-black crime meme is pretty effective.

Until it's mentioned police are held to a higher standard than criminals.

Which was a point - despite Giuliani and other Rightist's ignorance - that's been made, over and over again, since a long time ago:

And, it's only because TV allows idiots to be treated as credible, that we're finding it so "exhausting" to keep doing so,....

Jon Stewart Is Making A List Of Innocent Things Black People Do That Look Suspicious To Police And Right Wing Media While Loudly Insisting They're Not Racist

As Stewart reads the list, and you can hear the naysayers claiming Jim Crow's not true, add in a little context:

Awww, but that was back when the cops were slave catchers and whatnot. It's the difference between those two lists (who drinks from a whiskey flask anymore?) that police, and their conservative brethren in the media, demand blacks salute - as whites "making progress".

And,yes - no matter how long it takes for whites to get there - blacks are supposed to be happily! buying their bullshit, while waiting for this progress to arrive (sooooome day) and whites continue pulling this shit, facing nothing worse than a few jokes being made on cable.

Pull my fucking finger,...
