I'm Dying Over Here: Life - As A Racist Ol' Country Song
"Our findings suggest that racism literally makes people old.'"
The image that Staton removed from the spare tire cover featured the logo of the Coon Chicken Inn, a fried chicken restaurant chain in the Northwest whose logo featured a ‘Coon’, or a racist caricature of an African-American male popular in 19th century minstrel theatre and early 20th century advertising,....
The restaurant was founded in Utah in 1925 by Maxon Lester Graham,....

I Read The News Today, Oh Boy (That's My Problem)
There's a new movie about a black girl who stopped slavery in England or something. I knew nothing about it or her.
And somebody in Mississippi is learning new things, too:
A new Rock band likes driver training soundtrack vocals.
While USA Today has seen fit to do a new piece on Stanislaw Burzynski - learn that name.
Crush him for fun.
The Pope wraps it up with a searing new message on The Scarlet Letter and related matters.
Nothing new about that, unfortunately,...

Some Thoughts While Looking At Drudge In The Mourn
Two American blacks showing violent paranoia - is anyone going to seriously address this?
To the Dems and Republicans who hated George W. Bush, didn't I tell you this would happen?
'Molly' Cyrus Goes Raunchy and Topless... and should be told her "career" is now suspended until she gets some sense.
I ain't competing for shit - I deserve a trip out of this madhouse.
This new Pope ain't perfect but, I'll be damned, he's the shit.

There Is No God (But, If There Is, He's Down With Me)
I've been called John The Baptist several times, online, by deeply religious people who know I'm an atheist. But, while I've always found that flattering and heartwarming, it's also kinda weird to think about, and navigate emotionally. For instance, I haven't had a major problem with the theology of any Pope since John Paul:
"In comments likely to enhance his progressive reputation, Pope Francis has written a long, open letter to the founder of La Repubblica newspaper, Eugenio Scalfari, stating that non-believers would be forgiven by God if they followed their consciences."
Do you see what I mean?
Either I've got this shit figured out already, or Catholics and I now have a minor disagreement,...

Swinging Dicks: Cultural Wreckage Of Weak Hydraulics
A little girl cornered a McDonald's CEO to complain about the menu.
I know a Vegan couple that'd be glad to have her.
Wanna Life Lesson in Fighting the Culture of Bullshit?
Go around telling everybody How JFK secretly ADMIRED Hitler. It's a start.
Antoine Dodson has given up the Gay for God - to be good.
Even the Pope knows being good is the point, not announcements about your sex life.
Except for my not agreeing with the choices, why 10 Rap Cult Classics You Need to Hear?
Because your collection's full of freaks, that's why.
Is there new evidence in the Manson case? I don't know.
I do know men think women with tramp stamps are easy, but women eventually forget it.
Their husbands suffer in silence for a lifetime.
But all they have to do is look around this great country of ours to know they're not alone.
Like so much else these days, it's a way of life,...

Because No One's Going To Listen To Just A Good Man
Once again, the man in a dress, with the big funny hat, appears to be smarter than most:
Pope Francis on Sunday said clergy and Christians must not betray the word of God with their actions or they undermine the credibility of the Catholic Church.
Francis, elected a month ago, inherited a Church struggling to restore credibility after a series of scandals, including the sexual abuse of children by priests.
The pope spoke at the Papal Basilica of St. Paul's Outside the Walls, where he celebrated Mass. He also greeted pilgrims and local Church members earlier in St. Peter's square.
"Inconsistency on the part of pastors and the faithful between what they say and what they do, between word and manner of life, is undermining the Church's credibility," the pontiff said in his homily.
It must be the times. I told you they are a-changin'.
Gee, I wonder who else could benefit from that message? Maybe a certain blogger or two, or three, or more? I ain't naming no names. Just consider the daily dose of inconsistency delivered out there and it should become clear.

Considering that outlook, a man in a dress, with a big funny hat, might be just the thing,...
