Then again, there's no reason to blame America, alone, for the human condition.

The Nazi's beliefs drove followers to ruin, but - to this day - there's no stopping them, or any other cultish belief, from creeping throughout any society.

I'm convinced it's all psychopathy, which may be in the eyes - either manic (think of the zionist's "Godmother of the Settlements") or Netanyahu-dead, like a fish.

Shane Gillis said the movie ['Sinners'] is like 'From Dusk 'Til Dawn' mixed with 'Django Unchained,' and admits he got "triggered" enough by the race stuff to consider correcting it's Irish history for the theatre he was in - but immediately thought against it - considering how they were only watching a vampire movie.

All supported by American law, and it's judicial system, we might add: every bit of it perfectly legal, as the plunder of blacks has always been in this "land of the free."

Knowing our fellow citizens will kill us, before securing our rights, is a discomforting feeling. That they think their murderous framing is good, and normal, is unnerving. That they'd rather fight over it, merely because they can, says all any black history student needs to know about the "content" of white America's "character" - a much discussed topic - after 400 years. Their willing betrayal is true, and still as based in their own ignorance as ever, reason be damned. No one can reason with the violently insane:

I worry that the ebb and flow of social change isn’t determined by the resistance of the reactionaries–that revolution doesn’t slow, stall or even reverse because the Right finds new reservoirs of strength. It happens because the revolutionaries get fatigued. We want to declare an easy victory, get some racists fired and go home. Progressives had a huge rowdy party the night we fired the GOP from the White House in 2008 and then, seemingly, spent the next four years in bed. 

What’s happening in Ferguson is great. It’s not over. The outcry on college campuses against SAE because of the Oklahoma University video is great. It’s not over. 

Getting racists fired is always satisfying. It’s never enough.

So you yell loud, you yell often, and you never change focus:

Well, glory be: the funk's on me. It’s almost like people assume I, The Crack Emcee, will forget there was a time (not too long ago) when warning our  NewAge/alternative medicine/anti-vaccine crowd they unleash the measles - specifically - was considered kinda radical. Kinda "out there." Kinda crazy: an insult to others intelligence. They got me to the point where I would take any opportunity not to think about it (or them) which is partially why I eventually, finally, said, BAM! Baby, watch yo step – America's 'bout to shift gears:

The ugliness I blogged about here, and here, and here last year - saying  Oregon Was Founded As A Racist Utopia (and still is one) has been a fact discovered by Gizmodo’s Matt Novak, which is now making the white supremacist rounds as the words of black people (who these things actually happen to) just don’t for some reason.

Sigh. Oh well, that's how America “works.”

Me, the black guy. Because I HAVE to talk about it. Because I HAVE to live with it. Because the whites will never let it go.

And of course it does, because what else can a white guy with racist hiring practices do but take white's, and the nation's, biggest "original sin" and try to make it work for them - again? Their institutional racism that's lasted for over 100 years can last a little longer. If, while Ann Althouse is thinking "It's funny to see how outsiders are brought up to speed on the 'polarising' that's been going on here in The North," she also finds it as funny to ignore what the North doesn't want we outsiders to know: it's Wisconsin's polarizing historical foundation in racism that still probably makes it a great place to live - for someone white like her. 

Or (of course) their whites-must-always-make-mention-he's-black sheriff, who deliberately sounds like few other blacks in America, or Wisconsin. Blacks who few get to hear from, deliberately, considering the conservative media saturation in the area. The assumption we'll not notice only one nigga in the whole area regularly gets to speak, or is listened to, is just more of the same racial nonsense.

Today, racial segregation and division often result from habits, policies, and institutions that are not explicitly designed to discriminate. Contrary to popular belief, discrimination or segregation do not require animus. They thrive even in the absence of prejudice or ill will.

It's kind of hard for me to believe under the circumstances - in a white country, set up and by whites, and where blacks have had to fight for justice over centuries - it could be any different. I mean how many whites have told me they "don't even THINK about race"? 

That self-imposed ignorance serves a purpose for whites, going far beyond plausible deniability for what happens. No, the imperative to lie - overtly and covertly - is too strong, and white pride is (apparently) still far too fragile for getting at the truth of America, being what the new wrong-headed Amazon series on the Confederacy accurately calls a white person's  Point of Honor. 

A curiously thorough demonstration of the ways in which a refusal to think about racism is just another, slightly more subtle, form of racism.

And, Lord knows, whites also would never THINK of letting THAT little problem stop their continuing, centuries-long, despicable behavior. Oh well, as long as somebody black's still breathing:

Over the years, this “backfire effect” has reduced the blog to no longer researching much of anything, but simply trying to navigate this unstable terrain of viciously backwards thinking in the modern world, for self-preservation - and we're losing. I’m cool with that: I don’t support what I don’t like anymore than anyone else will. But I still need facts.

If you really believe, as Paul does, that the Civil War wasn't about slavery, you should expect about as much respect among the experts of the war as global warming denialists receive from those who study climate change.”

Realizing you're wrong - and admitting it - are two totally different things

Race Is Worse Now? Well, Thanks For That, White Folk

The idea, that the oppressed and the oppressor are the same, is big in whitey's world:

I'm not sure why whites still believe they're fooling anyone, with their sick attempts to turn the oppressed into the oppressors, when we tell them - directly - it'll never work. We will press on. Until no one buys this bullshit but themselves:

My taking conservatives seriously on race was a major mistake, because (among things) I found myself surrounded by people who openly ridicule blacks (after 400 years of openly ridiculing blacks) while admitting they go along with the most obviously trivialising racist tropes, like race as a "card" blacks play and historical Civil Rights figures being "hustlers". Whites, outnumbering blacks 6 to 1, are comfortable thinking they can wave their hands and declare reality (and morality) doesn’t exist except as they say. That it's normal to see a boy as a demon. That "loosies," or cigars, are crimes worthy of death. That they must rarely seek justice, stay as ignorant to history as their own bliss allows, and - because they're uncomfortable with the truth - stay so openly hostile they never have to hear a word of it. But we won't stop. We know this evil. Eric Garner’s “Please, just leave me alone” are words that could’ve been spoken by MLK.
