.......We Got Nothin' (Absolutely Nothin')

"I Am He As You Are He As You Are Me And,.."

Ann Curry's two brain cells collided Friday setting off minor flatulence inside of her head and spewing toxic amnesia gas throughout her skull, which she promptly projected onto the rest of us.

As Scott Whitlock at NewsBusters wrote:

On last Friday's "Today" show, Ann Curry interviewed two magazine editors on the subject of Michelle and Barack Obama and rhapsodized over the effect the power couple could have on America. Speaking to the creative director of Ebony magazine, she fawned, "The question I think, really, ultimately, is who are we going to be because of them? Who are we going to be as a nation?"

Someone should conduct a study on certain media types to see if "gushing" can cause a coma, and if so, how long do we have to wait?

Conservatism Doesn't Need A Stick Up It's Ass

"I try to live by a code of manners and decorum that sets my little chunk of the world somewhere on the gentility scale between, say, a Henry James novel and a Judd Apatow movie.  But I also try to create art—which has nothing to do with decorum or manners, everything to do with brutal truth telling in whatever language you need. Art has to map out the entire city of life, not just its palaces and cathedrals, but its gutters, alleys, carnivals and cheapjack malls as well.

This is a website about our culture, right? At moments—like when Iowahawk tears up the joint or this RevoLucian guy practices a non-governmental Bale-out—it actually commits acts of culture itself. To which I say:
Huzzah–or some word to that effect. Those of us who believe in the arts—whether in the form of South Park or the cantatas of Bach—believe that it’s the truth that ultimately sets us free.

What you do with your freedom—how you choose to behave and speak and treat your neighbor: dude,  that is entirely up to you."

-- Andrew Klavan, fighting the conservative language battle this blog has championed from Day One, but doing it on Big Hollywood.

The Spiritual Battlefield Is Ultimately Your Mind

"Produced by the justly respected team of Robert Halmi Sr. and Robert Halmi Jr., and starring Mira Sorvino as a brilliant archaeologist and martial arts expert, NBC’s miniseries The Last Templar is a likable though fanciful and indeed frequently silly four-hour miniseries about the hunt for an ancient document that could shake the foundations of Christianity if it should come to light.

If that sounds familiar, that’s because of the obvious similarities to
The Da Vinci Code, the bestselling novel by Dan Brown and film by Ron Howard. In both Brown’s novel and Howard’s movie, the protagonist’s quest leads to the revelation that Christianity as we know it is a sham invented by the Catholic Church to allow a small group of people to have undue power over the world."

-- S.T. Karnick, writing about another effort by Hollywood to suck people into - while turning attention away from - the obvious sham of NewAge and Pagan beliefs, reporting on Big Hollywood.

Here - Drink Some Water: You'll Be Just Fine

"Malaria is spread by mosquitoes. I brought some. Here I'll let them roam around. There is no reason only poor people should be infected."

-- Bill Gates, scaring everyone at the hoity-toity TED Conference to make a point about the deadly disease - the same disease Samuel Hahnemann claimed homeopathy was a cure for - as reported by FOX News.

When Will Europe Admit It's Obvious Occultism?

"We are looking for people over 20 for part-time jobs in sales and management  with the following star signs: Capricorn, Taurus, Aquarius, Aries and Leo."

-- The Daily Mail, reporting on the cultism and NewAge mumbo jumbo thriving at the Salzburg Insurance Company, which is "seeking employees for sales and management that were born under certain constellations" - another clear example of the hold occult beliefs still have on a steadily declining Europe - which repeatedly claims to have, long ago, escaped the shackles of religious and spiritual belief.

Yet Another Tale (Of Psychic Peace And Love)

"With people this wacky, you never know."

-- Jim Gaines, after noting the wrong psychic predictions of "Levi Tarot," who (as an act of revenge) called out "to all his loyal readers and faithful psychic believers for - I’m not making this up - '300 Spartans' to assail" him, at the Bowling Green Daily News.

"No Woman's Worth, Crawling On The Earth"

According to TMZ:

A-Rod Irate Over Madge's Double-Pumping

"Madonna has been flaunting boytoy Jesus Luz all over NYC –- and her other, slightly older boytoy, Alex Rodriguez, reportedly ain't happy about Madge's swingin' ways.

'It's embarrassing for him because he and Madonna have been so publicly linked,' says a source of Frostytips to the NY Daily News. 'And now it looks like he's been dumped for a younger stud.' But amusingly enough, says the source, Madonna is telling A-Rod it's a 'publicity trick' to take the heat off their own romance.

A-Rod's and Jesus' age combined exceeds Madonna's by five years.

The Adventures of Dim-Rod and Minge By Joseph Nigro:

In effect Minge is saying 'I care for you so much that I'm willing to bang this twerp I picked up on tour in order to save our reputations and keep the heat off of you'. Wow, the self-sacrifice is dripping off the walls. We feel enlightened now, as we never before understood that altruism can leave a stain on the sheets.

Although we're allegedly not as spiritually advanced as the superior NewAge Minge, we know Kabbalah-shit when we smell it (it's more pungent than everyday bullshit), so kids, pay attention in case you have a malignant narcissist of your own some day.

And to Dim-Rod we offer the following:

1) Minge, in giving that excuse for her pathetic and desperate promiscuity, is telling you she doesn't consider you intelligent in any way. It would take a special kind of stupid to buy into the "publicity trick"  crap.

2) She is trying to upset you as a control tactic. Not hard to see, as narcissists all work from the same playbook.

3) Dig out your old Frankie Valle record "Walk like A Man" and keep replaying it until you get it.

4) Apologize to your wife and kids.

Go, France, Go!!!

"A trial date has been set in a fraud case against the Church of Scientology in France. The date for the first hearing has been set for May 25, 2009. If the Church is found guilty, then Scientology would be ruled illegal and would be banned from operating in France.

Prosecutors claim that the Church is engaged in illicit practices in attempts to sell their alleged self-help material. The Church also faces charges of illegally operating as a pharmacy by illegally treating individuals with prescription medications.

The charges come from an unnamed woman, who in 1998 purchased nearly 140,000₣ (US$30,000) worth of Scientology self-help material which allegedly included prescription drugs. After a few months passed, the woman said she felt like she was being scammed.

Following several complaints from other unnamed individuals and an investigation, judge Jean-Christophe Hullin ordered the Church's 'Celebrity Center', and the seven managers to be put on trial for fraud and 'illegally practicing as pharmacists.'

On September 8, 2008 the Church released a statement following the order to stand trial saying that they felt 'stigmatized' by the French judicial system."

All This Cultism Is Just An (Expensive) Addiction

This is the first part of an interview with ex-Scientologist John Duignan, author of "The Complex". John was in the Church of Scientology for 22 years, and rose to become a respected member of the highly secretive Sea Org. Here, he tells his shocking story in person for the first time.

Scientology: The Ultimate Cult Diet For Mom

These women join cults and then, right before our eyes, become these weird-looking stick people,...while the men hold that oddest of smiles and act like it's all so normal.

It's creepy is what it is.

Borat Was Right: Kazakhstan Is Smarter, II

"The Karaganda Special Inter-District Economic Court in Kazakhstan is hearing a suit by the prosecution authorities seeking the liquidation of the religious group called the Scientology Church of the City of Karaganda.

The prosecution authorities believe the church's activity "runs counter to principles of national security of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as it is aimed at undermining Kazakh nation's health through inflicting harm on people's psychic and physical health," the Kazakh Prosecutor General's Office said in a statement posted on its website.

"The scientologists have been using elements of medical technologies amending people's conscience. This activity has been pursued by people having no medical education outside medical institutions," it said.

In addition, the church's activity did not meet its charter provisions, it said."

Meanwhile, as we watch our society fall apart, we lumber along - letting these cults continue to do whatever they want to our citizens, as they have for the last 40 years, all in the name of "open-minded" liberalism - and never drawing a connection between any of these phenomena,...

Borat Was Right: Kazakhstan Is Smarter, I

"A group of students held a protest in Almaty today to demand an end to the growing personality cult of President Nursultan Nazarbaev.

One protester, Muhammet Ziadin, told RFE/RL's Kazakh Service that the purpose of the demonstration was to challenge the practice of pouring praise on Kazakh leaders.

He said all the officials in the country are competing with each other in their attempts to compliment the president. The protesters had helium-filled balloons with the names of Kazakh officials on them and let them go into the sky, saying that the "masters of adulation should leave Kazakhstan like the balloons."

The protest was held in front of the offices of the presidential Nur-Otan party. Police did not interfere."

-- Kazakh Service, proving this problem (of unthinking cultists blindly following politicians) is big everywhere, and needs a healthy dose of Radio Free Liberty.

And isn't this a nice graphic for a cult-driven administration that - only two weeks in - hasn't gone one day without an ethics scandal?

Oh, hallowed be thy name,...
