The 1996 George Carlin bit is evidence of how old NewAge Nazi corruption is. He starts off discussing the emergence of Self-Help books, but, inevitably, winds up on Boomers:

NewAgers flew past "All You Need Is Love" to "What's Love Got To Do With It?" to graduation as full-fledged Trump HATERS.
Away we go: This morning I noticed Glenn Reynolds said, "I think the GOP can win even by losing," which I identified as con artist patter - and, Good Golly Miss Molly, what do you know?
It IS con artist patter! Straight from The Atlantic:
Now is the time for all good men to fail. Good women, too. Fail early and often, and don’t be shy about admitting it. Failing isn’t shameful; it’s not even failure. Such is the message of a growing body of self-help and leadership literature.
...Given this growing cultural fixation on failure, it was probably inevitable that politicians would begin clambering aboard the pro-failure bandwagon.
There it is - our buddy - good ol' Self-Help to the rescue!

Glenn Reynolds is in the NewAge world of Billary Clinton, Oprah Winfrey/Tony Robbins/James Arthur Ray/Louise Hay Grade-A bullshit, and he's delivering it to your door as political wisdom without the slightest clue how he's being played.
As a matter of fact, back when Reynolds used to post TMR and it was almost All-NewAge-All-The-Time, that's what his last email to me indicated:
Hey, I've got nothing against you, Crack. But I really don't get your blog, and God knows I've tried. Sorry.
Think about that for a second:
Glenn Reynolds has been seen to "get" a Mormon for president - who devoutly believes he'll get his own planet. Glenn can "get" that you can relearn to breathe with Laughing Yoga, all the many bogus concoctions, preparations, and devices in Quackery - and even inserting vapid win-from-losing Self-Help nostrums (I know you don't think I "get" it but I got it) into our supposedly serious game of politics - but he doesn't "get" why a conservative blogger, versed in NewAge solipsism, would be skeptical of the whole election-losing Instapundit enterprise.
Why wouldn't I point it out?
This flaw in conservative reasoning needs addressing and now:
I've got nothing against Glenn. What I really don't get will be conservatives losing through NewAge, and God knows I've tried.

I understand I'm probably not getting the most out of life right now, being exposed to those who don't take seriously the harm NewAge does to me and others, but - until they do - I can't think of much that's more important to pursue. To me, real people are getting hurt badly, right under our noses, when it could be stopped. Horrible crimes. But few others want to stop them, and - if nothing else - that fact's fascinating to me.

Part of the issue is, today, there's no escaping it. Another - watching where the money goes - is such a potent symbol of why we've so quickly become a basket case of a country.
Here's where a huge chunk of our change goes:

Real people in the way, of this juggernaut of chaos, hardly stand a chance - because we're almost always alone and blind-sided:

Meanwhile, the Boomers, etc., chant the NewAge phrase, "move on" to unburden themselves.
But also as a necessary rear-guard action.
What's done is done - and everybody will know them for who they are and what they've done.

Wow - losing an election appears to have destroyedBill Whittle. Six months in and he doesn't just look older, he's worn out, his voice is gone, and those stinging bon mots he's famous for delivering don't seem to "pop" like they used to, sounding as tired as Ol' Bill now looks. What a toll:
He's Barack Obama's white twin.
I don't know what killed Andrew Breitbart, but it wasn't this.
And do you know why it's happening?
I do - and I'll tell you:
Because - unlike Andrew's direct aim, outlook, and approach - every word Bill Whittle & Co. says is still pointed in the wrong direction.
He just doesn't see himself. How truthfully ugly and wrong he is.
And no one can tell him anything.
If there's a huge difference with Obama there (or Woody Allen saying, "Yeah, I'm a hypocrite - but for the Left!") someone will have to explain.
I don't think (even as smart as he is) Bill Whittle grasps it, but - as long as we ignore the Right's role in what's transpired - he's only beating himself up.
He never touches the president - because he never even touches me.
Every punch that Bill Whittle throws ends up landing on his own chin, having first glanced off the delusion he's still the right man to throw them. Like the Right's shown there's some huge difference between it and Obama, when they - and their respective parties - have really only proven themselves only to be masters at ignoring the obvious in equal measure.
The fact that none of them acknowledge that after a devastating loss - any more than the mainstream media wants to admit they exist - is their downfall.
The Right talked me out of voting - not Obama - remember?
That's THE RIGHT'S loss.
I ain't got nothing to lose anymore, thanks to various obsessions they share with the other side. (I'm the Titanic's bandleader now, tapping my baton on the music stand, preparing a Requiem For Romney to be played as we follow him down - carry on.) Now that I think about it, maybe Bill can ask Mitt and Ann Romney about some homeopathic treatments or something, to help the party's health along.
I hear they're deep into that.
And decline is a choice. Seriously, at this point, I have absolutely no idea why Obama doesn't give Whittle a call to lend a hand, since Bill's proven himself so good at holding himself down - and the Right - using this form of self-restraint and/or immolation. However you describe it, it's Self-Help of the worst kind, and it's eating poor Bill alive:
