Really: You Hit Your Head And Fell Down (I Saw It With My Own Two Eyes)

Since the British want the Irish to forget, just like American whites (and the French, of course) want American blacks to forget, someone should do a serious documentary on the phenomena of perpetrators trying to gaslight their victims on how they got those bruises.

It would be educational.

Every Trick In The Book: Black People Are Hearing It All

"I wish Black people would take some personal responsibility while I blame all my problems on President Obama"
"Rand Paul has some good ideas"
"CALLING ME RACIST IS RACIST"
"I understand racism; my grandfather was Irish"
"I DON'T SEE COLOR!"

I was just checking some other's views, since conservatives like to imply I'm all alone in what I see:

That's what "people of good will" do, you know,...

Being Black And Being Gay Aren't The Same Things But I'll Be The LAST Person To Say There Aren't Similarities

"For the last three weeks I have been lectured by heterosexual people about what homophobia is and who should be allowed to identify it. Straight people – ministers, senators, lawyers, journalists – have lined up to tell me what homophobia is and what I am allowed to feel oppressed by.

People who have never experienced homophobia in their lives, people who have never checked themselves at a pedestrian crossing, have told me that unless I am being thrown in prison or herded onto a cattle train, then it is not homophobia.

And that feels oppressive.

So now Irish gay people find ourselves in a ludicrous situation where not only are we not allowed to say publicly what we feel oppressed by, we are not even allowed to think it because our definition has been disallowed by our betters.

And for the last three weeks I have been denounced from the floor of parliament to newspaper columns to the seething morass of internet commentary for “hate speech” because I dared to use the word “homophobia”. And a jumped-up queer like me should know that the word “homophobia” is no longer available to gay people. Which is a spectacular and neat Orwellian trick because now it turns out that gay people are not the victims of homophobia – homophobes are.”

Later, Baby: Big Chief Play With Magic Box Right Now

Didn't I tell you NewAgers were coming with ObamaCare? Here's another knock at the door:

Licensed naturopathic physicians should play an integral part in patient access to alternative medicine within the Federal Healthcare Law (Obamacare) as they serve as primary care physicians within the complementary health care field.
With Americans spending over $34 billion dollars spent annually on alternative medicine, the inclusion of licensed Naturopathic physicians would offer patients the option of seeking alternative medicine care covered by insurance AND provide access for those currently unable to afford care.
Licensed Naturopathic physicians are able to diagnose and treat both acute and chronic disease and are experts in nutrition, herbs, and other holistic therapies.

"Experts" my ass - you're quacks - now shut up before somebody hits you with a blasphemy law:

"Blasphemy laws are very strange because they can be both very silly and also very sinister. They are very silly because you are talking about crying statues and moving statues or Virgin Marys appearing in tree stumps in Co Limerick. But on the other hand these type of laws are used in Islamic countries to jail people or sentence them to death. Or in Sanal's case facing a jail sentence for his work exposing bogus miracles.
The Irish government should pay attention to Sanal's case and realise they must get rid of this absurd and dangerous law. Because we shouldn't be so smug in Ireland. After all, we have had the hysteria about moving statues and a man bringing people to a shrine in Co Mayo so they can look at the sun and see the Virgin Mary."-- Mick Nugent, Atheist Ireland, on how East and West come together "spiritually" to crush people

Such a distorted perspective, yet no one will do anything, just let it run rampant. Treat it as normal, stick pins in your eyes. "Get back to it" is the universal message. Or is that "Get Back To Where You Once Belong"?

It's a loser, whichever way it goes,…

The World-Wide Scorched Earth Policy's Begun

"All patients buying homeopathic products should be told there is no strong evidence homeopathy works, The Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland (PSNI) has said in draft guidance announced last week."

It's A Brand New Decade - And We're Off,...

Richard Dawkins: "The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully."

Björk: "The Buddhists say we come back as animals and they refer to them as lesser beings. Well, animals aren't lesser beings, they're just like us. So I say fuck the Buddhists."

Frank Zappa: "To hang all this desperate sociology on the idea of The Cloud Guy who has The Big Book, who knows if you've been bad or good – and cares about any of it – is the chimpanzee part of the brain working."

-- Atheist Ireland, which has published these three quotes (along with 22 others) - including one by the former Observer editor and Irish ex-minister Conor Cruise O'Brien - as a welcoming party for that country's brand-spanking-new blasphemy laws, according to The Guardian.U.K..

The Macho Response: Michael O'Leary

"Was the education doled out with a good stiff slap? Yes. Did we suffer great emotional trauma? No."

-- Michael O'Leary, chief executive of the excellent European budget airline Ryanair (you can get tickets for as little as 5 euros) and one of the most successful businessmen in Ireland, letting the world know why it's become too soft to be as successful as he is - it lacks The Macho Response - as does The New York Times.

On The Never-Ending Search,...For Spirituality

"When [Ireland's] President Mary McAleese visited Dzogchen Beara, a spectacular Buddhist retreat perched high above the Atlantic Ocean on the rugged west Cork peninsula in September 2007, she was full of praise for Sogyal Rinpoche, its Tibetan-born spiritual director.

It was, the president said, 'a particular joy' to be in the company of a lama and bestselling author whose “wonderful work” is 'known to many people right around the world'.

The president’s remarks about the spiritual leader, whose name means Precious One, along with photographs of her visit now feature prominently on the centre’s website, which advertises courses on bereavement and meditation.

Last April the president’s office also sent 'warmest good wishes' to a conference on spiritual care hosted in Killarney by Rigpa, an international Buddhist organisation that Rinpoche leads.

It has now emerged that Rinpoche has a controversial past and was once accused in a $10m (€7.16m) American lawsuit of 'physical, mental and sexual abuse'."

-- Richard Oakley, with news that's now so easy to predict it defies the word "predictable", in The Times Online.

When, Oh when will you people learn? Or even start learning? You've got the "lusting" part down, but the learning,...

Demands For Explanations

"They talk blithely about Eastern mysticism and the flow of the chi through the body. But would it have killed them to find out where the kidney actually is before declaring that it's in your foot?"

-- Dara O'Briain, describing "the vogue for 'bad science', to Red Orbit.com.

Why Do NewAgers Pray To Mother Nature When She Keeps On Giving Birth To So Many Freaks?

"The Environment Minister Sammy Wilson has angered green campaigners by describing their view on climate change as a 'hysterical psuedo-religion'.

In an article in the News Letter, Mr Wilson said he believed it occurred naturally and was not man-made.

'Resources should be used to adapt to the consequences of climate change, rather than King Canute-style vainly trying to stop it,' said the minister.

Peter Doran of the Green Party said it was a 'deeply irresponsible message.'

Mr Wilson said he refused to 'blindly accept' the need to make significant changes to the economy to stop climate change.

'The tactic used by the 'green gang' is to label anyone who dares disagree with their view of climate change as some kind of nutcase who denies scientific fact,' he said."
