Later, Baby: Big Chief Play With Magic Box Right Now
Didn't I tell you NewAgers were coming with ObamaCare? Here's another knock at the door:
Licensed naturopathic physicians should play an integral part in patient access to alternative medicine within the Federal Healthcare Law (Obamacare) as they serve as primary care physicians within the complementary health care field.
With Americans spending over $34 billion dollars spent annually on alternative medicine, the inclusion of licensed Naturopathic physicians would offer patients the option of seeking alternative medicine care covered by insurance AND provide access for those currently unable to afford care.
Licensed Naturopathic physicians are able to diagnose and treat both acute and chronic disease and are experts in nutrition, herbs, and other holistic therapies.
"Blasphemy laws are very strange because they can be both very silly and also very sinister. They are very silly because you are talking about crying statues and moving statues or Virgin Marys appearing in tree stumps in Co Limerick. But on the other hand these type of laws are used in Islamic countries to jail people or sentence them to death. Or in Sanal's case facing a jail sentence for his work exposing bogus miracles.
The Irish government should pay attention to Sanal's case and realise they must get rid of this absurd and dangerous law. Because we shouldn't be so smug in Ireland. After all, we have had the hysteria about moving statues and a man bringing people to a shrine in Co Mayo so they can look at the sun and see the Virgin Mary."-- Mick Nugent, Atheist Ireland, on how East and West come together "spiritually" to crush people

Where's Your God? (And What's The Damned Point?)
If you believe in God, it's impossible to escape the fact he created this:
And if you believe in God, it's also impossible to escape the fact he created this as well:
But if you DON'T believe, it's just as impossible to escape the possibility belief itself was the cause.
Then who'd be creating our failure of reasoning?

We Dare Matt Damon To Prove Us Wrong
It looks like the makers of South Park and Team America were right - Matt Damon is probably too stupid to utter anything but his own name - just not quite that stupid:
Hollywood actor Matt Damon refused to visit psychics to research for his role in new film Hereafter because he thinks they are fake.So you only think "a large part of that space" are frauds, but there are some "who are genuinely touched" in some way - other than in the head? Well then, please, Matt, point one - just one - out to us! Surely, if you think there are real ones out there, you ought to know the name of one, currently or from history, correct? Who then? We'd bet you the salary for one of your films that you couldn't produce even that one. Which means they're ALL fake, genius.
The 40-year-old actor, who plays a psychic who can see dead people in the film, refrained from going to any real life mystics for the fear of falling prey to such pretentious people, reported Contactmusic.
"Had I found a good one I would have. What I was worried about was that it was just going to take me down this rabbit hole of charlatans.
"I think a large part of that space is occupied by pretenders, which is not to say there aren't people out there who are genuinely touched in some way. I just didn't get a chance to meet any of them," the Goodwill Hunting star said.
But then, after hearing your comments on Sarah Palin, something tells us the words "Matt Damon" and "think" being used in the same sentence is already some form of intellectual blasphemy all by itself.

An Obama Supporter Speaks (After His Guy Won)

"It doesn't take much blasphemy to note how all religions are, across the board, brazen, synthetic freakshows, far stranger and more surreal in their oddball accumulation of fetishes and rituals than anything your average agnostic, atheist or Burning Man devotee could come up with in her happiest LSD-soaked dreamgasm. You ever been to a Catholic mass? A Mormon temple? A mosque? Disneyland on acid, people. And not in the good way.-- Mark Morford, finally writing something I kinda-sorta agree with - though I wouldn't call insanity (or this self-proclaimed Zen Master's previous insane proclamations) "delightful" - in The San Francisco Chronicle.
Perhaps this is exactly what scares the rigid, the fearful, the conservative mindset most of all. If you really acknowledge our collective weirdness, if you look closely at what makes up the haphazard human spectacle, you are left with one overwhelming and totally awesome conclusion: If God really does exist, She is one deviously kinky, delightfully insane barrel of monkeys indeed."

Dickless: Too Busy Posing To Save Yourselves

"Few industries congratulate themselves on their 'courage' and 'bravery' more incessantly than artists and journalists — at least when it comes to plays about a gay Jesus, or joining the all-star singalong for Rock Against Bush. But it's easy to be provocative with people who can't be provoked. Faced with an opportunity to demonstrate real courage, the arts and the media shrivel up like a bunch of dying pansies. As I wrote in my book:Mark Steyn, already pretty sure you're cowards and fools - in the face of an implacable enemy - because you're doing exactly what cowards and fools do, to The National Review.
If it were just terrorists bombing buildings and public transit, it would be easier; even the feeblest Eurowimp jurisdiction is obliged to act when the street is piled with corpses. But there's an old technique well understood by the smarter bullies. If you want to break a man, don't attack him head on, don't brutalize him; pain and torture can awaken a stubborn resistance in all but the weakest. But just make him slightly uncomfortable, disrupt his life at the margin, and he'll look for the easiest path to re-normalization. There are fellows rampaging through the streets because of some cartoons? Why, surely the most painless solution would be if we all agreed not to publish such cartoons.
We Eurabia types aren't predicting a Muslim conquest on a set date in 2025 but a remorseless, incremental surrender. And, actually, we're not predicting it, because it's already well under way."

It's A Brand New Decade - And We're Off,...
Richard Dawkins: "The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully."
Björk: "The Buddhists say we come back as animals and they refer to them as lesser beings. Well, animals aren't lesser beings, they're just like us. So I say fuck the Buddhists."
Frank Zappa: "To hang all this desperate sociology on the idea of The Cloud Guy who has The Big Book, who knows if you've been bad or good – and cares about any of it – is the chimpanzee part of the brain working."-- Atheist Ireland, which has published these three quotes (along with 22 others) - including one by the former Observer editor and Irish ex-minister Conor Cruise O'Brien - as a welcoming party for that country's brand-spanking-new blasphemy laws, according to The Guardian.U.K..

Now Even The Political Discourse Has Become My Own (Just As This Country Always Has Been)
Some of y'all may not want to accept it but, by framing my argument through the lens of NewAge, I'm waaay ahead of the curve on everything that's been happening - including whether or not civil language is what's called for when addressing the fabrications of the enemy.
This outburst by Joe Wilson, and the hero status that's being bestowed on him for it, are all the validation I need that real Americans understand where I'm coming from whether they've ever heard of this blog or not. This is no time for kid gloves after these fools got the White House, and control of our country, as a reward for eight years of screaming, "I don't care!" to every reasonable position presented to them. I've said it before and I'll say it again:
When a person says "I don't care!" they have made the fatal mistake of opening the floodgates to no one else caring about anything - including them - either.
And that way leads to war. But that's what the left selfishly did, and they got their way, while stupidly expecting the rest of us to lay down without a bullet being fired. Wrong.
Wrong and stupid. They're the anti-Americans, living with a defeatist attitude. We're the patriotic Americans, born to fight wrong ("...and the home of the brave") with our "can do" spirit. Are the Dems nuts? Yea, if they think they can defeat us when we're spoiling for a fight. They 've already taken advantage of our good natures once. Now, clearly, our patience has worn thin.
So "it's on" - actually it's been on - and the left's days are numbered. We've got the guns, we've got the numbers, we've got right on our side - and we want our country back. Except for some skirmishes, like this one, the war's already over; it's conclusion decided when the American people finally decided to engage again. And, unlike the people who repeatedly said "We don't care!", no matter what happens - and I honestly mean no matter what it is - I'm not worried about the evil that's infected the opposition to become a part of us. We're the American people - we're history's good guys:
You lie.

Go On - Believe: See What It Gets You
"Screw you and your God. Look how your God didn’t help you."-- Brent Turvey, a criminal profiler and private forensic scientist, on the message a killer might have been sending to a female pastor - a message many (if not most) people refuse to accept or entertain - even after the killer stripped the pastor nude, severely mutilated her body, and then left her to be found in a crucifix position, only to have it all be reported later as O.K. News.
And, by George, that kid is creepy,...

Do You Know What I Mean? (Of Course You Do)
Gustave Doré’s illustration of the (so-called) prophet, Muhammad, being tormented in Hell, in an episode from Dante’s Inferno. Why?
Because I read it pisses off Muslims, that's why.
It's just how I roll.

Bubble, Bubble, Toil And Trouble (Art Won't Lie)

"It has a wild, witchy woman, it has self-inflicted female genital mutilation, it even has an official 'misogyny researcher' listed in the closing credits. Yes indeed: that old master-provocateur Lars von Trier has done it again with Antichrist, currently being described as one of the most vicious movies ever made. It was crowned at this year's Cannes Film Festival with an 'anti-prize' for being 'the most misogynist movie from the self-proclaimed biggest director in the world'. British audiences can now make up their own minds, with the film released here this weekend. The Cannes jury, which bestowed the award, accused Von Trier of suggesting that 'woman should be burnt at the stake so that man can finally stand up.'-- Sheila Johnston, on a film she acknowledges takes women seriously - just as this blog does - which, of course, calls for a perspective that doesn't fetishize them to the point of ignoring their less savory sides, in The Independent.
Von Trier is an easy target for charges of political incorrectness, but his are clever, complicated characters who demand our attention. In Antichrist, Gainsbourg, an unconventionally beautiful actress in her late thirties, is writing a PhD thesis on witchcraft."

Homeophobia? Homosexuals? Or Homo Sapiens?
"Brad Luna, a spokesman for HUMAN RIGHTS CAMPAIGN, warns [the movie BRUNO] should come with disclaimer:'We strongly feel that Sacha Baron Cohen and UNIVERSAL PICTURES have a responsibility to remind the viewing public right there in the theater that this is intended to expose homophobia.'
Billed as an encore to the blockbuster BRUNO, with a twist, the film is set for July 10. It's delivered R-rated and ready to shock.
In one scene Bruno appears on a talk show holding a baby who is wearing a T-shirt reading 'Gayby.'
The sequence flashes to Bruno having sex in a hot tub while the baby sits nearby. He then boasts to the outraged studio audience that the baby is a man magnet.
'You're going to burn in hell for that one!' shouts an unknowing audience member."

The Netherlands Or NeverNeverland?
"The Netherlands is about to abolish its blasphemy law. The Dutch Government has announced that in its place it intends to include religion in its anti-discrimination laws, putting it on a par with other groups. But these replacement proposals could be even worse than the blasphemy law itself. The Mediawatchwatch blog reports:
The intention is to introduce the concept of 'indirect insult' and expand an existing law which protects people on the basis of race, age, disability, and sexual orientation to include protection on the basis of religion or 'conviction'. This means that remarks directed at Islam, Christianity, Buddhism or — depending on your interpretation of 'conviction' — even homeopathy and astrology, could be interpreted as indirect insults to people, and prosecuted as such.
According to a commenter on the original story, this law carries a maximum sentence of 12 months, whereas the original defunct blasphemy law carried a maximum 3 month sentence.
...Jan de Wit, who is a member of the opposition Socialist Party in the Netherlands, said: “The blasphemy law was already a dead letter, but it is was wrong in principle that believers should have more protection than non-believers. Thank goodness this has now come to an end. And anyway, who decides if God feels offended or not?”
Let us hope that Mr de Wit and other defenders of free speech will manage to nip this dreadful new proposal in the bud."
-- Secularism.org
If God is everywhere, then religious/spiritual believers don't need protection from mere words - they're supposedly directed to show compassion to those outside of the fold(s) - just because they don't like that they can't convince everyone is no call for laws, but a sign their "faith" is wilting to:
