Junk Science Has Become Junkier Than Junky

"Researchers have identified 'third-hand smoke,' an invisible evil that acts like a deadly Ghost of Cigarettes Past:

Polluting the air, killing innocent babies and ottomans — even if they aren't present at the time.

As you can guess, this research is geared toward one end only:

The banning of all smoking on private property — including your home.

But look, most researchers knew for years that second-hand smoke was a joke, but most were too scared to speak up, while others saw it as a self-righteous way to look sensitive and get butt loads of grant money.

The problem is, once you're addicted to junk science, you can't stop. What's next, after third-hand smoke? Fourth-hand smoke?

Where you can actually feel the negatives effects of smoking simply by staring at an unopened pack of cigarettes?

I'm told even the blind are not immune.

But get this: After saying that a smoker's third-hand smoke is bad for babies, the researchers then note that for a smoker, breastfeeding a baby is still better than bottle-feeding.

So after all this crap about poisoning the air, they're saying breast milk from a smoker is still better than milk from a bottle.

Theoretically, a smoking mom that breastfeeds is a better mom, than a non-smoking bottle-feeder.

Now put that in your baby and smoke it!

And if you disagree with it, then you sir are worse than Hitler."

-- Greg Gutfeld, pointing out the tragedy that for some, a paycheck and an image can outweigh the truth when it comes to science - but not at at TMR - or FOX News.

It's TMR's NewAge News (With Joe Nigro) Saying: "You Go Climb It - We're Going To Disneyland!!!"

In this thrill-packed, butt-clenching amusement that is the media and climate change (AKA the artist formerly known as "global warming"), The Independent reports:

“An emergency 'Plan B' using the latest technology is needed to save the world from dangerous climate change, according to a poll of leading scientists carried out by The Independent. The collective international failure to curb the growing emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere has meant that an alternative to merely curbing emissions may become necessary.”

One part of “Plan B” is the notable:

“Pump water vapour into the air.”

Maybe it’s a typo. There’s not much scientific argument opposing the view of water vapor as the single largest greenhouse gas there is, accountable for up to 70% of the effect. Personally, we here at TMR think it’s a ploy by The Sharper Image to develop a room humidifier that actually works,....

The Independent goes on to report:

“Professor James Lovelock, a geo-scientist and author of The Gaia Hypothesis, in which the Earth is a quasi-living organism, is one of those who is less optimistic. He believes that a plan B is urgently needed. "I never thought that the Kyoto agreement would lead to any useful cut back in greenhouse gas emissions so I am neither more nor less optimistic now about prospect of curbing CO2 compared to 10 years ago. I am, however, less optimistic now about the ability of the Earth's climate system to cope with expected increases in atmospheric carbon levels compared with 10 years ago," he told The Independent. ‘I strongly agree that we now need a 'plan B' where a geoengineering strategy is drawn up in parallel with other measures to curb CO2 emissions.”

It should be noted that Lovelock is arguing against his own theory (the one he makes a living from) as described in an excerpt from Wikipedia:

“Lovelock suggested that life on Earth provides a cybernetic, homeostatic feedback system operated automatically and unconsciously by the biota, leading to broad stabilization of global temperature and chemical composition.

With his initial hypothesis, Lovelock claimed the existence of a global control system of surface temperature, atmosphere composition and ocean salinity. His arguments were:

• The global surface temperature of the Earth has remained constant, despite an increase in the energy provided by the Sun.

• Atmospheric composition remains constant, even though it should be unstable.

• Ocean salinity is constant.

Since life started on Earth, the energy provided by the Sun has increased by 25% to 30%, however the surface temperature of the planet has remained remarkably constant when measured on a global scale. Furthermore, he argued, the atmospheric composition of the Earth is constant.”

Not to worry.  Also according to Wikipedia, Mr. Lovelock (not wanting to be left out of global warming mania) has adjusted his theory in a way that excludes humans from the “life on Earth” self-regulating bio-system:

“In James Lovelock's latest book, The Revenge of Gaia, [2006] he argues that the lack of respect humans have had for Gaia, through the damage done to rainforests and the reduction in planetary biodiversity, is testing Gaia's capacity to minimize the effects of the addition of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. This eliminates the planet's homeostatic negative feedback potential and increases the likelihood of positive feedbacks associated with runaway global warming.”

Maybe his next book will be called “The Planet Strikes Back” - or "black," as the case may be,...

Whatever it is, we're not sure what to make of all this, but we do know this much:

The Sun has the volume of 1,300,000 Earths.

The whole damn thing is on fire.

Even with a 30% increase of the Sun’s energy reaching Earth, it’s no match for us teeny-weeny humans.

So, as a way to relax a bit about all this, it might be a better idea if everybody goes on "Mr. Toads Wild Ride" five or six times instead.

"I Am The Offspring Of The (NewAge) Movement"

"What remains to be seen is whether this will be his presidential modus operandi — sort of a Zen-like indifference,..."

-- Jennifer Rubin, finally noticing something a little bit "off" in the NewAge Left's choice of the NewAge "Lightworker" from Oprah's NewAge "power spot" of Hawaii (though he was clearly attached to her nonsense and deferred to the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi cult when he was getting elected as the NewAge Democratic Party's candidate) not the first choice of Pajamas Media.

"The less real he seems, the more desirable he becomes."

-- David Ehrenstein, who wrote the controversial "Barack The Magic Negro" op-ed piece in the Los Angeles Times - because no one would've believed it if TMR said it - but, now, even that's also being repeated by Pajamas Media.

Plus, click this post's title to get another dose of political reality,...the Democratic Party's NewAge cult politics, that is:

And finally, I must confess, I never imagined you so-called "skeptical" folks could be so naive,...

Joseph Nigro: On Being A NewAge Sucker

"Falling into 'sucker-dom' can be an impulsive, stand alone act.

You knew better at the time but were compelled by greed, potential gain, or ego.

These emotional drives were given priority over critical thinking and common sense, and a desired outcome was rationalized and projected onto the unlikely.

It should be a lesson that emotions have no intelligence, but many, unwilling to admit a lapse in intelligence or even a simple mistake, psychologically defend themselves by adopting the folly as a way of being.

Like stepping on a rake and proclaiming to everyone who saw it 'I meant to do that', and then to save face, stepping on rakes for the rest of your life.

This is where "sucker" morphs into "stupid."

Whether it’s the idealism of a young, uninformed mind, the buried hostility of a defiant youth, or the desire to jerk-off the world instead of growing up, not giving it up at the right time is the essence of stupid.

The keystone of NewAge.

In the absence of physical brain damage, being a sucker is only a bad choice, but being stupid is a willful condition. If they wanted to, the stupid could stop being stupid in the blink of an eye.

But they’d have to admit their long running error, and that’s not an option."

Pete The Skeet Speaks: Dude, It's Time To Go!!!

"Californification is liberalism run amuck: more services for illegals and handouts gallore. Broke-ass Cali. Time for a staunch conservative administration to kick butt, take over, and deport all the illegals.

Utah citizens have more guns than criminals; the roads are good, parking is available, doing business is user friendly, the housing's affordable, common sense is plentiful, heterosexuality is abundant, food and utilities are cheap and there are jobs. The down side...snow, cold, and sundays can be quiet - but there's plenty of water, fuel and resources, and good looking women who shave."

Say no more - and save me a beer, Holmes:

I'm outta here!!!

TMR NewAge News (For The Indiscriminate Fool)

"The CIA has issued a statement after last week’s catastrophic waterboard incident in Guantanamo that embarrassed the agency and raised questions about security.

The events unfolded as a suspected terrorist was being interrogated and the session went on for nearly four hours. According to sources, the suspect 'seemed to enjoy it' and at one point nearly fell asleep.

An investigation revealed the water had been inadvertently stored next to a photograph of Valium and aspirin, and had apparently retained that memory. The origin of the photo is unknown, and calls to
NewAge World Headquarters in the Sedona suburb of Circle Rock, AZ went unanswered. A spokesperson in the Roswell, NM office declined comment.

In a brief statement, the detainee told reporters he felt relaxed, pain-free and 'very clean.'

The water has been checked into a rehab program."

-- Joseph Nigro, on a "terrible" situation, only made better by the hilarity of it (with the following video) as The Macho Response.

"Is It Just Me, Or Is It Just Me?" (It's Just You)

"Given her obsession with filming even the most insignificant minutiae of her life, it is hard to believe anything could come as a surprise to Heather Mills.

The 40-year-old is permanently followed around by a lackey with a video camera, while she has surrounded her country estate with remote controlled lenses to ensure nobody can creep up on her, unexpectedly.

Which makes it all the more surprising that she didn't see Sara Trumble's lawsuit coming.

The claim  -  for sexual discrimination, intimidation and constructive dismissal  -  apparently came as a complete shock when Heather's long-standing nanny lodged it with an employment tribunal in Kent last week.

Coming barely three months after 24-year-old Miss Trumble's resignation in September, it has thrown the notoriously volatile Heather into a black hole of rage and introspection.

She is, friends say, beside herself with fury at the 'betrayal' by somebody she regarded as a close friend, at a time when she was beginning to think that the 'bad old days' were behind her.

She even seems to have been sidelined by her pet charity, No More Landmines, which last year admitted it was ‘allowing a period of calm’ in its relations with Heather, while simultaneously singing the praises of Sir Paul as an esteemed benefactor."

-- Richard Price, describing Heather "you can call me Peg" Mills and her apparent shock and disbelief that she is still her - no matter what she does or where she goes - which is an important safety tip for NewAgers, from Joseph Nigro and The Daily Mail.

The Great Spirit Ain't Feeling Very NewAge-y!!!

Shout out to "Skeptic" for this: I don't know whether to laugh or cry,...these NewAge Nazis are truly disgusting in that - no matter what another's situation might be - they just won't leave them alone. It's just all about them, and what they want, and what they want is to determine what others are about. Like I said, truly disgusting.
