NewAgers Will NOT Accept The Kidneys Clear Toxins (And It's A Beautiful Thing)

As you can see, former MTV VJ Ananda Lewis has died, using her intuition about how the body works (which she did NOT know) and, of course, "alternative" medicine. These beliefs had her following in the goofy and gullible footsteps of Steve Jobs, Farrah Fawcett, Olivia Newton-John, Suzanne Somers, Val Kilmer, Bob Marley, Patrick Swayze, and many, many other fools. 

It's unfortunate, but yet another great "life lesson" for the rest of us:

Patrick Swayze has been pictured looking more healthy than he has in months.

The Dirty Dancing star, 56, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer early last year, appeared to have gained a little weight and grown some of his hair back. He had even added a goatee.

Tubes thought to be catheters for his chemotherapy could be seen hanging in front of his shirt but Swayze was smiling and even indulging in a couple of cigarette breaks.

The pictures were a great contrast to photos taken in April, when he looked frail and thin. Early on in his cancer fight, many fans feared the actor would not last this long. But it is thought he had an advanced form of radiotherapy which is offering new hope to sufferers.

Last week cancer patient Robert Ferrant, 62, became one of the first in the UK to have the procedure. Mr Ferrant, from Jersey, said the treatment meant he 'actually had hope of a cure'.

It moves with the patient's breathing, meaning it can target tumours deemed inoperable due to their proximity to major blood vessels.

The latest images of Swayze appear to show a distinct improvement in the actor's condition.
In May the former Ghost star appeared frail and painfully thin during another outing and fears grew that he might not have long to live. 
 
On the evidence of these images however it appears Swayze is not going down without a fight."

I've mentioned before that, while Patrick Swayze has been a total NewAger, his wife adheres to The Macho Response - there will be no homeopathic, or herbal treatments for her man - and it looks like it's paying off. If Farrah Fawcett had such people around her, too, she might still be with us as well - Christina Applegate is.

These trips were chronicled in a moving documentary, Farrah's Story, that aired on NBC in mid-May. In seeking this type of therapy, Fawcett mirrored a choice made by actor Steve McQueen, who futilely traveled to Mexico in 1980 in search of a cure for his malignant mesothelioma. McQueen's Mexican doctors treated him with dozens of enzymes and vitamins, coffee enemas, and an anti-cancer drug called Laetrile, which was ultimately shown to be worthless.

Did the alternative treatments help Fawcett? It is unlikely. As Laurence R. Sands, a Florida surgeon who treats anal cancer patients, told WebMD, there is no scientific proof that such immune system stimulants work. Nevertheless, one of the German doctors involved in Fawcett's case claimed that the treatments had shrunk her tumors and substantially prolonged her life.

Once again, media coverage of Fawcett's case, while ostensibly providing useful information, ran the risk of sending the exact wrong message. Thousands of desperate end-stage cancer patients traveled to Mexico upon hearing Steve McQueen's story. The new destination may now become Germany."

Not In The Mood For Mourning

Sorry, kids, but ever since my divorce (surprise!) my tolerance for NewAgers has just died - even when they do. Maybe especially when they do. Farrah Fawcett, the beauty that used to wave at us kids as she drove by my old school (U.S. Grant High in North Hollywood) did the stupid Steve McQueen thing and decided to give a bunch of quacks in Germany her money as her life wasted away - probably ensuring she'd die sooner rather than later. That's all I'm left with. She took all the dignity away from her life, illness, death, and my memories of a troubled childhood made a little bit special because she was once near. Kind of like my ex, and my memories of marriage, actually.

Damn, I wish my ex would die already, just so I can see if I'm capable of crying for her again: I think I'm all cried out,...

Michael Jackson's death was a surprise - until I got to this:

Once again - sorry - but anyone who was "friends" with Uri Geller, that total fraud and con artist, is beyond the pale for me (no pun intended) no matter what a great talent they were or what great memories - and music - they left me with. I'm actually glad Geller is upset and I'm not - that's as it should be. Cry, bitch. Cry your fucking eyes out, as your type has made so many others cry, and I hope you join your "friend" (if any real friendship can be based on a lie) as soon as possible:

I'm not kidding: As far as I'm concerned, anyone, or anything, to do with NewAge deserves to die. NewAge has killed the most important things to me - my idealism and hope for humanity, along with my sense that people were smart and decent, and every thought I had that (I shudder now to say it) life was a sweet and precious thing to wake up to - so it's only fair.

"Everyone can believe what they want to believe"? Well, payback's a motherfucker, you motherfuckers. Die, die, die. I hope I outlive you all - every last stinking one of you. For what you've done, to one foster kid's sense of this life's meaning and purpose, you'll never get sympathy here. Now get the fuck out.
