If there was any doubt the Washington shooter was crazy, for some, this is proof:
NAVY SHOOTER COMPLAINED OF 'WHITE RACISM'
Friend: Alexis 'felt a lot of discrimination'
Being cut out, or the almost constant marginalization, is the worst. Blacks always have to "break down barriers," be the "first" this or that, the "only" or the "few" in a group - and always after "a long struggle" (though nobody admits who against - that's dispersed over society - rarely individuals,...) And then there's being a "token," who's trotted out for show, and then placed back in his box when decisions have to be made, etc., etc., and on and on and on.
If it helps, think of it as being white, but with a whole bunch of other crap thrown on you.
Some people "crack."
But it's mostly the denials - adding to the perception as it's happening - that, I think, eventually drives 'em mad,...
