I Could Be Mistaken About How This Country Operates But I Really Don't Think So (I've Lived Here A Long Time)

It says a lot, that I had to brutalize a Paul Krugman quote to agree with it, but it had to happen:

The immediate talk of our, or Obama's, international prestige - when faced with kids being gassed as canaries in the coal mine to gauge our tolerance of crimes against humanity - is a fine example of missing the substance by a mile. The problem is not that our people aren't smart, it's that they think they're clever - and inevitably put their smarts to arguing the wrong issues. Ask Bernie Madoff. Even better, ask my online friend, Harry Markopolos.

Now that's an angry patriot. And a guy who should be put in charge of something. You know why? Because he actually catches the bad guys red-handed, not hoping something falls in his lap he could capitalize on, like the Right and these imaginary "scandals" that have still come to nothing what-so-ever while they crow - over obvious bad guys, large and small, operating openly.

Paul Krugman's Roswell/Area 51 Plan To Save Us All

Paul Krugman, The New York Times' eccentric economist, is the talk of the blogosphere today - mainly because of a critique of his new book that drifts into a dissection of his particular form of madness - with this moment alongside Bill Maher figuring prominently. Fortunately, Krugman's delusional idea also fits comfortably into the theme of this blog, being NewAge in nature and because he's discussing fooling the public to achieve his liberal designs, so I just had to post it.

Hell, it would've been a dereliction of duty if I hadn't - a really serious breach - and we can't have that on Memorial Day, can we?

Anyhoo, how an idiot like this keeps a job, and even gets on T.V. - especially after being an adviser to Enron - I don't know (and I'll leave for another time) but I guess, if nothing else, his entertainment value must be worth something. Mind you, probably not as much as he's making, but,...something.

Huh. 

That's an interesting question, probably, for real comedians - as opposed to those just at the NYT:

Certain People Can Make It Tough Sometimes

“PAUL KRUGMAN, BUFFOON” doesn't quite have the same ring as "Paul Krugman Is An Idiot", but then, we stumbled over the proper phrasing ourselves.

Check it out - last night we got one of those nice, no labels, totally "progressive" messages that foster intelligent discourse:

We don't trip on such things because we've been getting them for years - pretty much since we declared we're Republicans, actually, so it's nothing new.

What is new is our noticing the blinders "progressives" wear while spouting their nonsense. That "dickhead" comment arrived on a post about the Left's hypocrisy regarding their own "hate speech", or whatever they're trying to label political discourse now, which they completely don't see as fostering a "climate of hate".

But, we guess, we did always know holding a mirror up to the Left can't be done. (Their own reflection scares them.) Glenn Reynolds has some good words in The Wall Street Journal about their latest tactic:

Shortly after November's electoral defeat for the Democrats, pollster Mark Penn appeared on Chris Matthews's TV show and remarked that what President Obama needed to reconnect with the American people was another Oklahoma City bombing. To judge from the reaction to Saturday's tragic shootings in Arizona, many on the left (and in the press) agree, and for a while hoped that Jared Lee Loughner's killing spree might fill the bill.

With only the barest outline of events available, pundits and reporters seemed to agree that the massacre had to be the fault of the tea party movement in general, and of Sarah Palin in particular. Why? Because they had created, in New York Times columnist Paul Krugman's words, a "climate of hate."

The critics were a bit short on particulars as to what that meant. Mrs. Palin has used some martial metaphors—"lock and load"—and talked about "targeting" opponents. But as media writer Howard Kurtz noted in The Daily Beast, such metaphors are common in politics. Palin critic Markos Moulitsas, on his Daily Kos blog, had even included Rep. Gabrielle Giffords's district on a list of congressional districts "bullseyed" for primary challenges. When Democrats use language like this—or even harsher language like Mr. Obama's famous remark, in Philadelphia during the 2008 campaign, "If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun"—it's just evidence of high spirits, apparently. But if Republicans do it, it somehow creates a climate of hate.

There's a climate of hate out there, all right, but it doesn't derive from the innocuous use of political clichés. And former Gov. Palin and the tea party movement are more the targets than the source.

But just so you know, that's O.K. with TMR, because just as Funkmaster Flex said, during the ending of The Mix Tape, Vol. 1: 60 Minutes of Funk, the negativity and hatred just makes us get up earlier in the morning to plot their demise.

We were up at 4:30AM this morning - scheming and dreaming - and it's that kind of discipline and dedication that will beat a bunch of Left-wing potheads (or whatever they are) every time.

Steve Salerno: Thomas Sowell's A House Nigger

Steve Salerno of Shamblog - a writer we practically had a man crush on once - wrote another one of the stupid political pieces that have defined him since Obama came on the scene, filled with lies about raaaaacist gay-hating Tea Partiers (yawn) and wild-eyed speculation about what evils conservatism will bring - like progressives are the essence of intelligence and calm, Obama healed the races (as he "promised") and these last 2 years of liberalism have been "all that".

We didn't think so.

Given that at the end of his post, Salerno wrote, "Anyway, that's why tomorrow I'll be clicking all those tabs next to the word DEMOCRAT. If you disagree, I'd like to know why", we emailed him and asked:

"Do you ever consider there are black conservatives when you write this nonsense? 

Please, enlighten me to the evil of Thomas Sowell, will you?"

Here was Steve Salerno's reply, regarding this great American:

"Oh, you mean the black conservatives who 'got theirs' and want to keep every penny, so now they don't give a damn about those who may be less fortunate? Seems to me there was a rather impolite terms for such types back during the 1970s. It began with the word 'house'...."

Now, before we say anything further, let us remind you that Steve Salerno doesn't just run Shamblog, but is also a contributor to The Wall Street Journal and Skeptic Magazine, so this isn't like some idiot pot smoker at Jon Stewart's "Rally For Sanity" spouting off. This is a grown man, fully conscience of his words, spewing racial invective against a giant of American letters, racial progress, and economics - not to mention every other black person who's "made it" but doesn't share Salerno's (and Obama's) enthusiasm for allowing others to take what's theirs in the name of "sharing the wealth".

Steve Salerno ought to be ashamed.

To put it another way, we think his participation in Oprah's Obama cult has driven our poor Stevie crazy. It has others.

We told him we were going to blog about this and - just like a Scientologist or other cultist - he started making grumbling noises about possible lawyerly actions coming our way (Salerno doesn't realize we hang out almost exclusively with/on lawyer blogs now) before implying most people won't care what we report he said because some think we're crazy already. (Isn't it funny how independence of thought can be used against someone like that?) Anyway, it's tragic to see what we once thought of as a great mind turn to mush, right before our eyes, but there it is.



Oh - we almost forgot - if you want to have a laugh after all this, go look at the comments to Salerno's piece:

His regular Buddhist commenter (whatever he is to "Cosmic Connie" of Whirled Musings) seriously suggests, if you find Salerno's piece too harsh but want to read something pro-Democrat and intelligent, they should try the last "be afraid" screed by - wait for it - Paul Krugman!

Absolutely fucking hilarious:

This Is A Rush Job (Before Limbaugh Goes On)

On this anemic Labor Day, I have to ask:

Isn't it strange how pundits can't help but make NewAge references - while discussing our politics - but leave it up to bloggers to mention the role of NewAge in our politics?

James Lee (alone) was an environmental nutjob out to save "Gaia". Sure.

Victor Davis Hanson says Obama has a "charlatan homeopathic style".

Lew Rockwell thinks the same of The New York Times' Paul Krugman, too.

But - while everyone's wondering if Obama is a Christian or a Muslim - nobody dares mention the role (and meaning) behind his NewAge advisor (and friend of Scientology) Oprah Winfrey.

It's just bizarre - almost as bizarre as the fact that, while someone like Davis will mention charlatans and homeopathy negatively, they won't write a column coming straight-out against charlatans and homeopathy throughout our society. Their criticisms are limited to Obama using the NewAge style. Nothing about Oprah. Oprah's just great.

See, the NewAge "style" is bad, but the actual practices and practitioners get no comment - from anybody - unless it's to tell us Oprah is spending the president's birthday with him or of the latest multi-million dollar deal she's closed - which is always, always, always, reported in a celebratory manner. (Hooray! The woman who brought us the worst president and economy in American history - along with her friends like James Arthur Ray, Deepak Chopra, and Rhonda Byrne using a "charlatan homeopathic style" - are the only one's getting richer during the depression!)

Not even any wondering where that money's going after it touches the Queen of NewAge's hands.

It's like they don't care - that's The Secret - even though Oprah (and The Secret) is a big reason why we have Obama as our failed president with the "charlatan homeopathic style". She's the best indicator of his entire administration's outlook.

As far as this black "Buddha" is concerned, those statements - and lines of inquiry - are the key to stopping the wrong-headed thinking we see all around us this Labor Day, and it's time for our chattering classes to either get on the ball or get off the pot.

You're supposed to be working - as we all are.

Odds And Ends (The Odds Are It'll Never End)

Man, am I moving slow today! I don't get it, because, though I was up pretty late last night, I've got the beats going and everything, but I still don't feel that usual burst of Crackilocious delight in the nuttiness that I usally do. Still, that doesn't mean y'all should be deprived, so here's a few quick items you ought to look into before you, too, find yourself jonesing for something to keep your system supercharged:

Gawker thinks Lady GaGa is overexposed. I think they're a little late, or have a stronger constitution than I do, at least today anyway.

Ria Ramkissoon, the woman who let the cult leader, "Queen Antoinette", brainwash her into killing her own kid for not saying "Amen", is getting high marks for finally forgetting what that crazy bitch taught her. Oh well, better late - and one dead child - than never, I guess.

Some Christians have decided they don't like "Jersey Shore" on the Joysey Shoor, so they've put on a concert called "Jesus Shore", which, if you ask me, is a horrible name (and an even more horrible idea) but there you go. It only "attracted a few dozen people", so I guess my instincts for showmanship are still going strong.

Speaking of Christians, South Carolina seems to be a bad place for their churches because they've suffered a shooting and a robbery in the same week there. My advice: pray harder.

And, if you haven't found God yet, check your iPhone: there's an app for that. See? He's everywhere.

It's starting to look like Shirley Sherrod isn't the nice person she's sold herself to the public as. She may have even been unkind to black people, which at least ain't racist.

And The New York Times's Paul Krugman has been revealed to be an idiot - again - which, at least, means he's being consistent. And you've got to love this, from a commenter on his blog:

"Who is this Sean from Florida? He takes everything that [the] Professor [says] and shreds it, piece by piece. He shouldn't be allowed to post his comments on this blog since he seems to be winning all the debates. We progressives need to stick together and embellish our talking points without someone from the outside pointing out fallacies in our ideology."

Yea, that's how it's done. And finally, The New York Times also has an article about Hugo Chávez's obsession with digging up the dead, which I knew about already, and covered a few days ago. At this point, just let me know if he ever loses his horse. I know exactly who to call for that.

It's Really Hard To Talk (When You're Getting Screwed By So Many People At Once***)

Some of you may have noticed I'm not posting with my usual frequency - and for that I humbly apologize - but, though I'm busy, busy, busy elsewhere, I'm still watching what's happening out there, and my disgust quotient hasn't gone down (much) because the chattering classes are continuing to make about as much sense as they usually do.

It's pretty clear, to me anyway, the problem is most of our commentators are members of the huge-in-numbers groupings I've singled out for ridicule (Boomers, Hippies, NewAgers, liberal "progressive" Democrats, women) - who, sometimes, I ridicule all in the same post - so, as they continue to dominate the discourse (even though my guys and gals, AKA conservatives, are finally speaking up - loudly) it's to be expected we'll see and hear more of their exclusive perspectives, and feel their hair-brained influence, for a while.

But how long will it take them to catch on to what's actually happening and reflect it? Who knows?

The Homeopathy cult, for instance, has been around for over 200 years - and killed countless numbers of men, women, and children all over the planet - but The World Health Organization has just now come out and said it's beliefs are bogus (while most of our movers-and-shakers have said nothing - not one word - and, especially, not about what it means. They won't even go there, else it blows up in their own faces) so, not being a "Hope and Change" kind of guy, I don't hold out a lot of either for the rest of these "educated" clowns.

To give you an idea of the disconnect out there, today, Glenn Reynolds (who rarely quotes me, though I have a grudging respect for him as the Instapundit) quoted Howard Kurtz just because he wrote:

“The criticism of Barack Obama has turned strikingly personal as some of his liberal media allies have gone wobbly on him. After playing a cheerleading role during the campaign, some are bluntly questioning whether he’s up to the job. If Obama is losing Paul Krugman, can the rest of the left be far behind? . . . It was liberal commentators, of course, who formed the leading edge of the most favorable coverage that any White House contender has drawn in a generation. Having swooned as they did, some were probably more susceptible to having their hearts broken.”

Really?

More than those of us who never wanted the jackass in the first place? Who were yelling and screaming Chump-Change was worthless all along? Who have been forced to watch as he blew our money - just as he's always blown our money - and told the same lies he's always told? With Paul-the-Pulitzer-Prize-winning-economist-Krugman's blessing? Are you really going to tell me, Howard and Glenn, you truly think Obama's media supporters are "more susceptible to having their hearts broken" than me? You have GOT to be joking!

If I was Chump-Change's wife, I would've already cut his dick off in his sleep, but you're wondering, and waiting, to see what his many mistresses think?
